We started out at the Henrietta doodlebugs which was great but then switched to the webster one because it was closer to home. I will say there are some great people who work here and genuinely care about your children. On multiple occasions our kids were picked up with bumps or bruises. We were told it was from the play ground or normal 3-4 year old play. But after asking our child what happened we were told it was from another student or something else that wasn't told to us by the teachers. It seems like the director at this facility will do whatever she has to to make sure her job remains easy even if it's over something as little as not saying another child scratched ours or something along those lines. The final straw was when one of the teachers screamed at my child and physically grabbed and yanked my child from a chair all because he wanted another sandwich at lunch. She then called my child a jerk. This is how this individual felt it was appropriate to speak and act with a 3 year old. There was video evidence of this altercation (unfortunately without audio) that shows her putting her hands on my kids. If you aren't a parent I can't decribe to you the gut wrenching feeling you get when your 3 year old try's to explain and process what happened to them that day. Another teacher luckily saw the incident and reported it. When questioned about the incident the initial teacher admitted what she did. Yet the director wants to lie to our face and say that never happened even though a second teacher confirmed it. I brought the entire incident to the directors attention when I went to pick my kids up. Even though she was already informed I received no phone call of the situation. Like it was being brushed aside. We have since pulled our kids from this facility. Like I said I do believe there are some great people there that truly do care about the kids they watch. Unfortunately I can't have my kids at a facility where they allow a girl to act that way with a child. I no longer have confidence that my child's well being is put first and foremost. I believe the director will say whatever she has to to keep her job and protect her "friends". If you do decide to bring your kids here I highly recommend you request that Emily is NOT to be in the same room as your children. read more

I did s lot of research trying to find a preschool program for my daughter to take part in and ended up choosing Doodlebugs in Webster. I read these reviews but decided to take a look for myself and was so glad I did! The facility is very secure and safe, always clean and smells nice, the kids all seem very happy, and the staff (that I have met) are all super kind and loving toward the children. Sidney is incredible kind and very helpful, Liz (the director) has been very helpful and kind as well. My daughters teachers are incredible, Patrick and Grace are very engaged with the kids and have made my daughter feel right at home. She loves going and I couldn't be more happy! read more

Highly disappointed in this experience. My husband and I were in the process of researching various daycare in the area. After calling doodlebugs they seemed annoyed by the inquiry and refused to discuss waiting lists, indicating that they were full. This is a stressful enough time in our life as we begin introducing our 2 yr old son into daycare. And as we are new to this process was hoping to hear why doodlebugs would be a good fit. The administrator instead indicates why it would not be a good fit for us. I was left disappointed with their customer service. I'm just grateful I was able to get a taste of how they operate. They clearly but the business operations over their service. Would not want us to send my child there. That was a great indication of how they operate!! And I'm excited to take my son to the preferred daycare facility in the Webster area. read more

If you would like your infants breast milk feed to the wrong baby, and teachers who are under investigation by CPS, and have the Director Elizabeth Vandetti tell you that your infant who's gone there since he was 11 weeks old that he's no longer welcome then this is the place for you and your family! read more

I have been working with Doodlebugs for a month and a half. I started as the director assistant at the Webster center which is a newer position to the company. Before working here I worked for Wegmans for 10 years and I have to say, this is the best move I could have made. The staff here are truly amazing and my director is so friendly and easy to talk to. The children here all love their teachers and peers and often have a hard time leaving at the end of the day. Our motto truly stands; happy children, happy parents, happy teachers. My husband and I are first time parents and deciding on a child care facility was not something we approached hastily. Before our daughter was born in the summer of 2014, we researched local facilities for months - visiting over a half dozen on the east side of Rochester. When we walked into Doodle Bugs, it was an entirely different experience. The center is bright and energetic and SPOTLESS. The teachers were all positive and approachable and friendly. Liz and Amanda answered all the questions we had. All things together, our decision was easy. Once our daughter started at 3 months old, we quickly saw what all the hype is about. She is being well socialized, is part of a diverse classroom and is developing leaps and bounds over what we expected. On top of that, the teachers truly CARE about her. They have gotten to know her and truly are an extension of our family. Leaving your child with others is an unusual experience (especially for my husband and I who both were raised by stay at home moms). It's true that Doodle Bugs is not the most inexpensive day care in the area. However for me, the premium is well worth it for the webcam access, the curriculum and the quality of the teachers they employ. I could not be more thrilled with the staff and teachers at Doodle Bugs and plan on our daughter being there until she starts school!!! read more
