To all the dog parents out there, I know how rough it is to find a groomer who you can trust 100%, and have them cut your fur babies' hair and make sure that they won't be harm in any form of way and look cute after. Well, this place is it. Price, customer service, professionalism is the best that I've seen in the DMV. I came back to Doodle Doodle to pick up Holly and I just see Jay playing with Holly and I feel so assured that this is the salon for her going forward. To all the groomers today along with Jay, thank you for giving Holly and I the best experience.

Best dog grooming service I've found in Rockville! The quality of the service that Doodle Doodle provides is unmatched by any groomer I've taken my dog to .I love the teddy bear cut for my toy poodle, castiel. Castiel loves the groomers, especially Irene. Each time I take him he has no complaints going back with her and that means a lot to me that he enjoys being there. They really do provide a stress free experience for dogs. I highly recommend you bring your dog here.

Today was my first time taking my dog Theo to DDGS. I was so nervous taking him to new groomers because he has been going to the same groomers since he was a puppy and he is now 4. Despite this, he never became desensitized or "used" to the groomers and was always anxious when I took him. I never understood why, but figured they knew Theo well enough to know how to work with him. However, after taking him to DDGS, I can understand why. He needed groomers who are gentle, patient, and understanding, like Irene and Rachel! They were even able to clean up his ear fur, which the last groomers could never do for some reason. I wish DDGS would have opened years ago. I would have brought him to Irene and Rachel a long time ago. I will definitely be taking Theo back and hopefully that will help with desensitizing him :) Here are a few other fun facts: - His groom turned out to be so stinking cute! - Parking is located right in front of their salon and super easy to find - They will validate your parking ticket - Their salon is very clean and adorable inside

Excelente servicio , el ambiente muy bonito y limpio , la chica muy amable y paciente con mi perro , me gustó su nuevo look , y a el se le ve contento .

They did a great job grooming my Yorkiepoo! Very reasonable prices and nice staff. The salon is very serene. I highly recommend Doodle Doodle!

We were so happy to hear that there was a newly open dog grooming salon closer to home. Seeing upfront on their yelp page that they are cage free was a big plus as well as their round teddy bear cuts. Parking was easy and they provide validation. Making an appointment through the phone was very quick and easy. After trying a bunch of places in VA, this will now be our go to out of convenience and cuteness. We loved that they had a photoshoot with her and provided a cute little neck accessory. Irene and Rachel were both great and super nice. Being a small new business has its challenges but we fully support and expect them to get really busy over time. Highly recommend!

Our shaggy pup was waaaay overdue for grooming.

Our last three visits have been frustrating, but this final experience was the breaking point. I brought my Border Collie in with very specific, detailed instructions for a "pet trim" to improve her comfort and hygiene: Detailed scissoring and blending on the legs to avoid blunt, choppy cuts. Thinning shears to reduce density on her tail while maintaining the "flag" look. A "tunnel belly" and sanitary trim for cooling. Instead of the skilled scissor work I requested, they took the absolute "easy way out." They finished her entire grooming in 30 minutes (it usually takes an hour), and when I picked her up, she had been shaved to a 1/8th inch "puppy cut" all over. For a double-coated breed, this is devastating to their ability to regulate temperature. When I called to address this, they claimed I asked for an "all-over trim." In what world does a request for a blended, functional trim result in a total shave-down? To make matters worse, the staff member hung up on me, saying they were "really busy" and offered zero accommodation or apology for ignoring my instructions. It is incredibly disappointing to see a business treat a long-time customer with such blatant disregard. They clearly prioritize speed and high turnover over actual grooming technique and customer service. We will not be returning.

Danielle is friendly and reliable and most of all - she does a great job. We always go with a short cut on our Maltese for ease of maintenance and Danielle's cuts are very consistent. Our dog always looks the same, which is a big positive in my book. Other groomers have delivered inconsistent looks when we simply wanted the same haircut. The convenience of the mobile service is hard to beat too. It's a little more expensive than service at a brick and mortar building, but it's worth it in my opinion. You won't regret going with this business for your furry friend's grooming needs. Highly recommended. ***In the post-grooming photo of my pup, he'd had a recent vet procedure that resulted in a stitch in his forehead and a partially shaved right leg. Most groomers do multiple dogs at once--and your dog sits in a cage in the meantime. Not great. Maria is working with just one dog --yours--from start to finish--so it's way less stress for your baby. I should also mention that Maria is the best, kindest, most competent dog groomer in the DMV. Full stop. If you have a small dog, don't even *think* about going anywhere else! Not only will your furbaby be gorgeously groomed, you will have the peace of mind of knowing he is being cared for by 1) someone who genuinely loves dogs, and 2) is also incredibly talented and experienced. I don't trust my little guy with anyone but Maria.

Every booking, every pet, every time: more signatures and "agreements" than a mortgage closing. Somewhere there's a lawyer who's never met a dog and decided the real threat to this business is the guy who's paid them loyally for three years. You carefully fill out the entire grooming form online, pick every option -- then show up and they shove a paper copy across the counter to sign the exact same thing again. And after all that paperwork, they still claim they don't have the phone number they've had on file for three years and called me on before. Let's put this in perspective. I can order dinner to my door in two taps -- Reorder, Apple Pay, done. A stranger drives hot food across town on the strength of my thumbprint. But dropping off dogs these people have known for three years apparently requires a signing ceremony and a fresh liability waiver every single visit. In 2026, that's not caution. That's a business that's forgotten how to trust its own customers. And then there's the membership -- the crown jewel of contempt. They took a system that worked and actively torched it. Gone are the daycare credit packs: fair, flexible, buy-what-you-need, the way a business treats people it respects. In their place, a pricier monthly "membership" that auto-drafts your card whether your dog walks through the door or not, with no rollover for the days you paid for and never used. Read that again: you pay, they keep it, your dog gets nothing, and they call it a perk. It's not a membership -- it's a standing withdrawal from your bank account with a bow on it. It punishes the exact people who kept this place in business: the regulars whose lives don't run on a fixed weekly schedule. Some months my dogs come once, some months five times, because that's how actual life works -- and this program is built to make sure I lose either way. It doesn't serve pets. It doesn't serve owners. It serves a spreadsheet, and it treats every loyal customer as a recurring charge to be maximized rather than a person to be valued. It is, top to bottom, the most openly hostile "loyalty" scheme I've ever been asked to fund. When customers spend more time signing forms and fighting your billing than petting their dogs, you're not a pet resort -- you're a law firm with a kennel attached. Take your pets somewhere that still remembers what the word "customer" means.

When I arrived there was no record and they didn't know I was coming. Ended up giving me a tour and when I asked if I could do the evaluation for my dog, they said they needed vaccine forms. Ok, fine, but would have been nice if they had told me that ahead of time. Not a big deal, but I took note of poor communication. 2. We work out the vaccine forms. Not sure what happened as Healthy Hound told me my dog wasn't up to date. Ok, so I call the vet and ask to get him updated. Vet says he IS up to date. Fine. Weird and a waste of my time, but fine. 3. Get the evaluation scheduled now the vaccines are sorted. They tell me I have to sign a form beforehand. Ok, done. When I arrive they tell me I have to do it again. Ok, no big deal but am noticing they just seem overall unorganized. My dog is dropped for the eval and I let them know he's a herding dog who loves to run and he does bark. They say no problem we have lots of dogs like that. Great. 4. They call kid way thru the eval and say my dog passed but "because he is a puppy can they give him breaks?" I ask what a break looks like and they are sort of vague and not making sense but something about protecting him from fights because he runs a lot and the other dogs get worked up. So I ask if he got into a fight? They say no, they caught it before it escalated. So I ask for clarification: what is the break they want to give him? They say they want to put him in a secluded room from 12-2. And upon my insistence, they finally admit this break is to give the other dogs a break from my dog. I know my dog is a lot of energy, so I get that, but the point of sending him is to have him USE the energy. I can crate him at home for free. So I'm already thinking this isn't a good fit. 5. I go pick up him up two hours earlier than I have to because I'm. It feeling this. I was required to put a credit card on file and assumed that would be how I would pay. Long story short, that's not the case and they wouldn't give me my dog. Now, I understand I have to pay. That's good biz but the poor communication just feels like a dealbreaker. They seem so unorganized. Caveat: from what I understand there was a system change and I suspect I have just fallen thru the cracks, it happens. But calling to tell me my high energy dog who I'm sending for him to be able to run and play needs to be secluded for two hours of a five hour session and how they tried to spin it like "he's a puppy he needs a break" feels like something we aren't going to recover from given this is my first impression. Super bummed. Really wanted this to work.
