We used Peninsula Transfer to move some very heavy furniture from a storage shed to our new home…read more They also moved an upright piano from a seperate location. The 2 men showed up at Apple storage on time. They took care to protect furniture by covering everything with moving blankets. They loaded the 6 pieces of furniture in 15 minutes. We then met at a seperate location to get the piano. They strapped it to a 4 wheeled cart and it was on the truck in minutes. The real work came when they arrived at my house. The narrow driveway made it difficult to back the truck in. As it was they could only back in half way as an overhang stuck out too far to get between my house and the neighbor's house. Everything had to be transported across a rough uneven driveway. They had to remove doors and manuver the furniture up 3 steps and through narrow doorways. They got everything in including the piano without a scratch. I will certainly use Peninsula Transfer for all my moving needs.

We filed a claim with Stevens van lines ( peninsula is their agent) because we bought moving insurance ( or so we thought). We found out that its called valuation and we are now in negotations with very company that damaged our possessions. we estimate our damage at $5500 they have offered $420. we caution everyone be very careful in dealing with Stevens( peninsula) . we will be filing for arbitration in hopes of getting some reasonable settlement.

The customer service texted me with updates. So if you are moving from WI it will be better. I moved from Knox to WI and it was a complete hot mess. When I first called to inquire about getting a pod I asked what is the average work around time for your things to arrive. I booked it out 2 months in advance. The guy was 3-5 days max. Huge FYI they do not work on weekends so it's always business days. So if they say they will pick it up on Friday but don't they will get it on Monday perhaps. So I was like okay will reserve one. Moving day comes and you get an email and it says your pod is going to be delivered today...did the pod come? Absolutely not! So now I'm a day behind on my move already. Call them to pick it up the next day. Oh no problem we can do that. Did I get my pod picked up? Absolutely not! So I don't understand how you can book something two months in advance and they don't have a pod to deliver to you. Now it's picked up by Monday so 3 days of my stuff has already been packed up and sitting at apartment waiting to be picked up. Not sure the actual day they actually finally got it from apartment since had to be at work for my new job in new city. Check the tracking and it says still in Knoxville. Start my new job and still everyday I check my stuff is sitting in Knox. So after 7 business day because on paper it said it could take up to this long which is not what the guy on phone said when he made the sale. Finally someone calls me and tells me what's going on with the shipment sorry for the delay blah de blah. Then 3 days later when the lady said she was going to give me $50 per day back for every day I don't have it magically the pod starts to move quick. I haven't seen the money back in my account for 3 days of delay. It finally comes today and the pod looks worse in condition when I got it. All my stuff looks like it was in a tornado. My tv is broken now and I have scratch marks all over my furniture and dents in my things. This was the worst experience I have ever had and this was a pricer option and it was not at any point stress free. I doubt I will see a dime back for anything. Utterly destroyed my pod experience. Not what I had in mind at all.

Can't say enough about this company. UPACK was absolutely the right choice. No hassle of driving a huge truck in bad weather. No paying for gas.
