It was not a rush request, I could manage. but, he had one of his guys scheduled for Friday. David stopped by and he was great. He needed some parts, told what was wrong, gave me a locked-in price. I was very pleased that he was able to work around my work schedule and came to my home after I returned from work the same day that we spoke. He arrived around the time that he said he would. He even let me know prior to his arrival that he would be arriving in 30 minutes. I appreciate the good communication. Once he arrived, he identified the problem--wrong size spring installed by the previous homeowners. He also explained that the springs on my Other door, while not broken in half, were on their way out and also the wrong size for my door which is why they were stretched and misshapen. In the end, he changed the springs and wheel on both doors and was half the price of some of The other quotes that I got for just 1 door! His work is also guaranteed for 3 years. The owner came out to see it personally and came up with a plan to install the exact Clopay doors and Liftmaster Jack shaft openers that we wanted. Julie's techs effectuated a really trick detail to make it all happen. This is the second project they have handled for us and it will not be the last ! BTW- We did shop around and got rude treatment and an "This isn't easy so I'm gonna screw you price" from another company beginning with a "B". The price was substantially higher for lower quality doors and standard openers. I asked for order number for my doors, me and my partner verified it and we found out that they gave me wrong order no. after a week we drove from CT to NJ to personally talk to Julie (the Owner) and i told her please let's start fresh be honest we need our doors she said it was ordered wrong for the first time so they needed to reorder it. Again i asked for the order number, she wrote it down on the paper and gave it to me. When we're heading back home we verified and it's a wrong order number again . That moment we decided to finally cancel our order, you can't trust the people and the company anymore. The very next day we drove back to their office and asked for the refund, I also asked Julie why she kept lying to us, and giving us those lies and excuses on why the doors are not arriving yet and giving us wrong order numbers. And she just said like I don't know why i gave you that!.(Really?!!) Until finally, she gave us post dated check dated Dec.16 and she told us don't deposit it before Dec. 16 because her loan will be approved by Dec 15th. By the way she told us that her company is going through a financial problem. So we complied and we did deposit the Check on Dec. 16th, but the check bounced. It was returned by the bank. We spoke to you personally, we were very nice, calm the last time we were there. you gave us too much stress and frustrations and we missed days from work to go to your office because we can't get answers from you on all our questions through phone and email. I don't like leaving bad reviews especially for small businesses because I don't want it to affect…read moretheir family or livelihood but in this case, JJ just stopped replying back to me and does not want to fix his mistakes. First issue was one of the panels was dented & the glass panels were different from the ones he initially showed me. When I brought it to his attention, he told me it'll take 7 months to get a replacement. I told him I can wait , it's not a problem. Second issue was that he left all the plastic wrapping on the doors, and now the adhesive got stuck and it's impossible to remove now. When the "new" replacement panel came in, I noticed that it was a different color panel and someone painted it white. So it doesn't match with the rest of the garage door panels. The other issue with the panel is that JJ installed it upside down. Third issue, I tried contacting him multiple times to ask him to fix these problems and he decided to stop replying back to me. So I would warn everybody, before you pay him, fully inspect the job first because you will not hear back from him once he's paid and gone.

I got a rough estimate over the phone and scheduled for today. Got a text confirmation and a follow up call to confirm closer to my appt time. Gadi agreed I needed to upgrade my very old garage door opener and suggested updating some of the hardware as well, springs, pulleys etc... His price was very reasonable and he and his assistant got to work right away and finished in a couple hours. He showed me all his work and explained the new equipment. I am relieved to have found someone honest to do the work. I recommend without hesitation.
