Great Service, our service technician Andy was so polite and so knowledgeable about our Lift-master Vertical Doors. He identified our problem literally seconds... Unfortunately Andy did not have our part on his truck... I felt bad for him that meant he would have to come back... it was Friday afternoon I expected Andy to tell me can we make an appointment for Monday... Not the case Andy asked if I'd like him to return Saturday... WoW, Andy returned Saturday as promised right n time... He completed the necessary repairs within minutes installed a additional desired wireless keypad and wrote me up... I couldn't believe there was no surcharge for a Saturday Service Call The bill was beyond my expectations it was so reasonable... Andy, also went above and beyond our expectations... Polite, knowledgeable, well spoken, communicated the trouble with our lift -Mastér door Lift in easy to understand terms... Andy was so kind I wished he lived closer so that I could befriend him... Door Works' employees Maryellen Meister and Hernan Arbaiza misrepresented and misled my husband & I after we complied with Door Works terms and thought Hernan Arbaiza knew Fimbel, the garage door product we bought. Maryellen Meister told us that Door Works rejected a "claim" for the new/correct doors approx. after 5 months after Hernan Arbaiza admitted to my husband that he made a mistake when he placed the order with Fimbel, the garage door manufacturer we chose. Maryellen Meister told me that Door Works did not sell a lot of Fimbel doors because of their bespoke/customized styling, essentially, when I complained about Hernan sending us proposals with wrong information after we told him what we wanted (e.g., no windows, matte brown color, a design that replicated our original garage doors). Hernan Arbaiza showed up with Fimbel garage door samples at our home. He gave us a Fimbel catalogue. We even visited Door Works' showroom in Elmwood Park, NJ and literally discussed & pointed out the Fimbel door design and product we wanted. Hernan acknowledged all of our requests. Maryellen Meister's revelations come after approx. 5 months of comms from Hernan Arbaiza telling us that the new garage "panels"/doors were on order/being manufactured. Door Works misled us and misrepresented their actions with intent. Meister, Arbaiza and the rest of Doorworks' team gaslit us when we tried to get to the bottom of new installation dates, delays, clarification of correct information. They lied over and over again to cover up their incompetence, mistakes and lies with intent. read more

I had two garage doors, opener, and tracks installed two and a half years ago. One of the garage doors had the bracket snap when my daughter opened it. When I looked at the other door, I saw the bracket had been installed upside down and had been cut so there was only 1/8" of metal (Pics attached) It's no wonder it broke! I called and eventually got a call back from the "Manager" I asked him to come out and fix it, and he told me that it was only a 1 year warranty and since it was out of warranty he would have to charge me full price for the materials and labor. I asked if he was ok with such a crap ass job and he told me it was company policy and they usually don't install like that anymore since the company was purchased. I asked him to email me his policy and he promised he would.... of course he sent nothing. It's ironic that the company is named Door Works, since eventually you will end up with a door that doesn't. read more

I purchased a garage door 3 years ago. After receiving the incorrect door and a small wait the door was installed and worked great for 3 years. Then the inside latch broke and I called for service. A service technician came out and said I provided incorrect information, and asked if I had sent them a photo. A photo of the broken part was not requested when the service was scheduled. He stated the part had to be ordered from the door manufacturer and then offered some half-assed repairs he could make like added handles in various locations, since he thought the door wold not opening smoothly. Even though it opened smoothly for 3 years. I was told I would receive a call back with the cost of the new part. I never heard from anyone. A week later I called to request follow-up information. Still never received a call. I finally called the door manufacturer who provided the name of a service rep from a different company. They came out and fixed the door in 30 minutes, the day the call was made. In hindsight I am sorry I used Door Works, as they do not stand behind their work read more

Very disappointed with this project. We were quoted a price to replace a broken spring on our garage door. My wife was given an estimate for replacing the broken spring and another quote for replacing both springs. Upon the recommendation of the scheduler we elected to have both springs replaced and made an appointment. The installer came on time but sure took his sweet time with the work. Then we were surprised that the price did not include labor. We were charged for an hour and half of labor for a job that should have taken no more than 20 minutes for a professional. My wife witnessed the installer taking many breaks in his truck. When she complained she was told - the installer was there for two hours and we only charged you for 1 1/2 hours. Then they price gauge you on the parts. The replacement parts cost about 2x the price as the most expensive ones available at Home Depot and thats assuming they used the top of the line springs. We had used this company in the past and they were reasonably priced and efficient. Now they are really taking advantage of people. Would not recommend nor would we ever use this company again. read more

Door works was very quick to help us replace a lift on one of our garage doors. They offered guidance on the products and what was available and explained what could happen when trying to synchronize the outdoor key pad. We were able to get an appointment quickly and they let us know we could find a coupon on their website to save $50. The service person, Andy, arrived in the time window promised. He understood what needed to be done, explained what he would do, how long it would take. He also took great care to understand and accommodate our desire to synchronize the lifts on two doors. He was finished when he promised he would be and then programmed the key pad, the remote and helped program the garage door capability in one of our cars. Andy was friendly, considerate, knowledgeable and helpful. He is a true asset to your team and represents your brand very well! The new door lift works well, is extremely quiet, the remote, key pad, car and doors are all synchronized. It was an awesome experience at a time when many things in life are very frustrating. Technician was very professional. He called ahead to let us know when he would arrive. He repaired the garage door to the best of his ability in a timely manner. We also had him install a new keypad and he showed us how to program it. Invoice matched what we were told it would be. I would have given 5 stars however I feel their cost for the keypad was overpriced, now that I checked prices online (pd $65 vs $40 online). Next time I will replace it myself now that I see how easy it is. Otherwise I thought other prices were fair (labor and parts). Would call them again. read more

I utilized the services of Door Works to repair my garage door. My appointment was scheduled for Saturday July 27, 2019 between 12:00 pm and 3:00 pm. I was pleasantly surprised when Mike arrived around 12:10 pm. He did repair my garage door. Unfortunately the very next day, the door stopped operating again. I contacted the company and spoke with Neva. She was very understanding, apologetic and accommodating to my work schedule. I informed her that I left for work at 8:30 a.m. and she assured me someone would arrive before I left for work the next day. Approximately 7:18 am the following morning, Edward arrived. He explained to me what happened and why the door stopped operating and repaired it. 7:54 am he was finished and 8:30 am I happily left for work with an operating garage door. The customer service was outstanding and I will utilize their services again and will recommend Door Works to others. read more

I would never use this company!! The sellers used them to have a functional garage door in order to sell the house. Door Works made the door and framing over the carpet that was there. We didn't realize it was going to be an issue until the garage got flooded when there were heavy rains like we had the other day since it seeped in through the exposed carpet. We went to remove the carpet and can't because the framing was built over the carpet as well. We can't get the carpet out from under the framing so no matter what, we are going to get water inside. They are charging us to have this crappy job they did fixed because it isn't under warranty. They won't even come look at it without charging us!!!! What kind of customer service is that?!?! Don't tell me you care when I'm telling you that your door and framing is causing my garage to flood which will create mold. I'd rather pay someone else to redo the horrible job this company did than to pay them to fix what should have never been done in the first place!!!! read more

Wow!!! Talk about going from "Hero" to "Zero." Last year at the end of July, 2019, we had a new garage door installed by DOORWORKS ($1900) bill paid in full no problems from us. Everyone involved with the process, with the exception of a rude female receptionist whom I encountered while confirming an install date, was kind, professional and courteous. In just under a year I requested a service call to perform routine maintenance, replace the rubber bottom channel, now flattened, but still under warranty, and check the automatic door opener that was malfunctioning (they did not install this device). I was given a cost run down and agreed to the terms. A service date was set with "Valerie" for Tuesday, 8/14/20. However, after hanging up the phone and checking a calendar, I saw a discrepancy! There was no Tuesday, 8/14/20. I called back and got another female who informed me "...we aren't scheduling jobs out that far" and that the corrected date would be 7/14/20 between 12pm and 4pm. That day has come and gone with no one from DOORWORKS showing up or contacting me. Today's date is 8/18/20. Professionalism has become a thing of the past! read more
