I called back an hour later and was told he was 30 minutes out. About 30 minutes later I received a text showing he was still 50 minutes away. It looks like the technician was coming from the East Bay so nothing "local" about this. I called and canceled because I wasted my morning waiting for them. They did not reach out at any point to let me know they were running behind. I I had to call them and it was a super disappointing experience. I had found them in one of those coupon things you get in your mail and I guess you get what you pay for. Do not recommend.

I called on March 21 and requested a new garage door. On March 25 Josh Keen arrived and managed to tell me his whole life story while preparing the estimate. He did not see or ask me if I wanted a key pad. I was told that Keen had my garage door in stock at one of their neighboring businesses and that once the door was sent to Santa Rosa they would be in touch. On April 22, Derek arrived and installed the garage door but it was not the one that I had ordered and set aside for me. I ordered a garage door with windows and Keen installed one without windows. Another round of appointments were made and a worker came and dropped off the window panel for the upper part of the garage door. A few hours later another worker came and installed the panel and took the solid panel with him. He said another worker would be coming that same day with the key pad. I questioned if he had the right one and was assured he did. Of course he had 2 key pads on the truck but neither were compatible with my door!! You would think that at this point Keen Garage doors would expedite the case to simply install a key pad. But no!! They place me in the appointment queue and offer a complimentary one year membership to have my door serviced. What a joke. Who has time to set up appointments and deal with incompetent office people and workers. Finally on May 6 the key pad was installed. I wondered if this outfit had ever installed garage doors before and I also wonder how they stay in business.

Jonathan does!!! 1) I had already been through this process with another company so I understood the grade of springs and realized that the ones that Jonathan installed were two grades higher yet the price he charged me was less than they did as was the service not to mention the fact that I had to make an appointment two weeks in advance with these guys and Jonathan skipped in and out for me. 2) Jonathan didn't try to upsell me at all I actually asked him about replacing the opener and two bent pieces of track. He fixed the bent pieces of track and told me that my opener would probably be good for another 20 years so he didn't try to upsell me anything. He wouldn't even let me pay for his In-N-Out Burger. 3) I really enjoy supporting family owned businesses and the fact that he had his son with him and that he was showing him the ropes just resonates with me. There is a reason why this guy has so many five-star reviews I refer all my business to him and I do it with confidence.

I was informed of a price around $200-300 for single or both springs, plus labor (which many places would not provide unless I had them come out first). It seems like the price could vary depending on the garage door style, size, and weight. Also, another place had quoted me $485 right off the bat therefore this was the best option so far. They let me know that the technician would have all the necessary parts and tools for whatever option I go with (very convenient). Technician Sam called me to notify he was on the way and when he arrived outside. Upon arrival, he inspected our garage and said it would be more than quoted since I had a heavy door (~$400-500). He provided us with two different priced options, differing in expected lifespan and labor (~$100) warranties. The job was estimated to take around 30 mins, depending on if there was complications with the existing parts. Sam was very professional and knowledgeable with all the mechanics and components. He let us know more about what we had installed and what could potentially fail or cause us issues in the future. He also gave us recommendations on how to properly maintain the garage door to prolong it's functionality and life. After we made our choice, he began working right away. During this time, he came to get our attention and let us know that the bearings needed to be replaced soon and we just asked him to do them since it was already disassembled and the labor cost was flat rate. It all ended up taking closer to an hour, and despite the higher than anticipated expense... we felt very assured and satisfied with the outcome we received. We love supporting family owned businesses, especially when they provide great quality and service! Highly recommend.

Along with that work, we threw some things on his plate that we didn't anticipate (like having him patch holes in walls made by electricians running wires, and solving a tricky problem with mounting ceiling fans on tongue-and-groove), and Steve made sure to get everything done on time, even with a tight schedule due to painting. I was around most of the time doing smaller house projects, and I watched him bust his butt those days, and he even came by on July 4 and the weekends to do the more quiet work to ensure it would all be done on time. Along with this, his rate is extremely competitive, he was full of great tips for things I was working on, and would let me borrow a power tool or two that I didn't have when needed. I had a great experience working with Steve, and will be sure to use him again for future projects.

We contracted with Marin Door Pros to install a Clopay insulated garage door on our home in Windsor in 2014 and love the product. Its perhaps odd to praise the aesthetics of a garage door, but the simulated wood grain and cedar color of this metal door perfectly match the real cedar shingle exterior of our home, and after 25 years is using a manual wooden garage door, we love the convenience and added security of the automatic door opener. In 2016 we began experiencing intermittent glitches with remote units, then recently the exterior number pad unit stopped working altogether. Although the 1 year labor warranty was expired, I'm happy to report that scheduling a service call was no problem. Jim arrived on time as scheduled and even called a half hour prior to his arrival to give us an update. The two year parts warranty was still in effect, so Jim replaced the exterior key pad, and a new remote unit to replace a flaky one as well. Jim also programmed the remote, tested operation, and serviced the door. The service took about a half hour and we were charged appropriately and fairly. Happy to have the intermittent problems resolved! It is obvious that Door Pros is a very customer service oriented company, aware that good customer service means repeat business and referrals. We would not hesitate to do business with Josh, Jim and the Door Pros company again. read more

We had wonderful service this week from Door Pros. I called on Monday when I couldn't get the door to open fully, and noticed a spring had broken, Tnis door is a 1.5 size, so it's a heavy bigger and I feared a new service company would try to talk ,e I to a new door in fiberglass or something. I was offered a next day appointment, amazing! In a holiday week, too. My repair guy arrived in the allocated time, but my springs were not the usual (remember, it's a BIG door) and I hAd a cabinet blocking access to the mechanism. He asked if they could come back the morning after Thanksgiving with all the right parts....and of course I was elated that that was the only delay! Today, Bayron (his spelling, pronounced Byron) arrived after a call to alert me, right on time, and set to work. He was willing to roll out under the stabilized door lifted a couple of feet, to get his gear, to avoid going through the house! He completed the job, explained the work, and we were frankly impressed with the skill, labor, and amount of work done for the price. It's always a little startling when a repair is going to cost what your first used car cost, but looking at the breakdown, it made sense, and this door now has a new lease on life. read more

5 stars! As good as it gets. I called Door Pros after 10:00 AM and they were in my garage fixing my troubles before 4:00 PM SAME DAY. Jim arrived and diagnosed my trouble: 25+ year-old Genie motor that was just losing its power. Not worth investing any real money into it he said, and offered me options for new motors ($600 - $700). I was COMPLETELY disappointed in the news. My 30 year-old house has a MULTITUDE of things starting to go bad and I just couldn't afford to buy a new garage door motor a week before Christmas. So Jim starts thinking outside the box and tells me that it's a long shot, but to tide me over, he DOES have a capacitor from an older Genie motor onhand. "Let's give it a try, shall we?" he asks? BINGO! The new(old) capacitor revives the motor for the next few years/months(?). I told him that I realize I'm living on borrowed time with that ancient motor -- but for the immediate, the Door Pros came through with a problem solve that is EXACTLY right for my situation. Call these guys today. They're honest and reliable. And they'll be getting the call from me to replace that motor when it goes bad (as I know it will)! Thanks, Jim! read more

It's as good as it gets because that's what you can expect from these guys! The second Greg drove into my driveway for a FREE assessment of my garage, I knew these were the guys to do the job and NOT because of the free assessment. Within moments I was substantially impressed with his friendly professionalism. I have a very heavy garage door which was beginning to act up. Greg was the repairman and WOW what a professional and a gentleman. He assessed the situation accurately, quickly and thoroughly. He didn't try to hard sell me the weather on items I didn't need. His recommendations were soft suggestions backed by sane and sober reasoning. I was allowed to make decisions comfortably. Plus, their pricing blew doors off other estimates I had received for exactly the same items and repair work. We agreed on what needed to be done, Greg showed up the next morning and completed the job quickly and super-professionally. Despite Covid-induced delays (about 14 weeks from order to install) in the supply chain, DoorPros did a great job for us replacing EVERYTHING - tracks, door, motor - total gut job and re-do. New door is lighter, better insulated and QUIETER than our old wood door that weighed a zillion pounds. Also, Mason, who had done several service calls for us as the old door died a messy death, also measured and wrote up the estimate for the new install, and ended up being the one who came out and did the work. He removed all of the old door and parts, and did a great job installing all-new tracks, braces, new door and motor. We went with the side-mount motor and it's great. SUPER QUIET. Now, I can't even tell when my wife is pulling in to the garage any more. Highly recommend them, everyone from the office was great to deal with too. But for sure, try to get Mason on your job! He's extremely conscientious, follows up, trained me quickly but effectively on the new door operation, and is a thoroughly nice guy on top of it all. read more

Halloween night, just before the trick-or-treaters were due to arrive, my garage door stopped working. Needless to say on such a night I was afraid to leave the door wide open. I called the # on the unit which housed the motor & spoke with a wonderful woman. She told me not to worry, that she understood my concern, & would get someone out within 2 hours. Although to my surprise in less than 1 hour, Jim, another wonderful employee from Door Pros showed up at my front steps ready to work. He was kind, personable, & got the job done 100% effectively & efficiently. In addition, the work was done at their standard fee, no extra charges for the emergency visit. What a great company! Jim had been out to repair a garage door for us a couple of years ago. We moved to a new home recently and our garage door had problems. Jim came out to assess the old door and recommended a new one. He gave us a quote on a Friday and promised installation the following Wednesday. He said they'd be here between 8 and 10 a.m. and would call a half hour ahead. They did and they were. Miguel installed our new door in about 3.5 hours. I was very impressed by how efficient he was. When he was done, he went over the light maintenance recommended and set up the security with me. While doing that he noticed a small detail that he wasn't happy with. He fixed it quickly and did one last test of the door. The new door is so quiet and looks so much better. We recently were in the market for a new garage door and went to their showroom to get some ideas. Jim was so knowledgeable and helped us make a decision. We didn't even have an appt that day but he offered to come out to the house and give a quote that afternoon. He didn't seem desperate for business by any means. Just genuinely wanted to help us out. A week later, Miguel came out and installed the garage door. He was on time and did such a great job. He really took the time to make sure everything met our needs the best. For example, he already installed the garage door button and realized a different spot would be better for us, so he removed it and reinstalled it in the new spot. He also offered to put the light bulbs in the motor for us which was nice and he taught us how to maintain the door. I highly recommend using this company. Put a call in to Door Pros based on the reviews on Yelp and I was not disappointed! Our relatively new garage door got messed up - sorry for the technical jargon. I'm comfortable with chain drive doors but our jack drive (Brad told me that's what it was - more about Brad later) is a new beast for me and I wasn't comfortable trying to fix it myself. Anyhow, I called in the morning and got an afternoon appointment. Brad showed up at the time promised and after assessing the situation assured me that the problem was easily fixable. Over the next 30-40min not only did Brad fix the problem but tuned our garage installation - replacing screws that the installers had forgotten, adjusting the tracking, lubricating the springs, adding a bracket for additional support and replacing a hinge was simply wrong. These guys are the BEST! I was home alone with my 4 year old son when the spring broke on my garage door at 3.30pm on a Friday afternoon. I called my regular guys who were not in the least bit interested and told me they "may" be able to get someone out to me on MONDAY!! I called Door Pros even though they were closed at 4pm and was pleasantly surprised that someone still answered the phone! I explained the situation and they promised Brad would take a look on Saturday between 10am and 12pm. Brad arrived just before 10am and within an hour had replaced the spring and fixed the cabling. My car was free! I cannot thank you guys enough. Brad was professional, smart and knowledgeable about my garage door. I will not be using any other company in the future! Thanks again you guys! Best customer service and work! I had my new insulated garage door installed in November. Even though the bid was not the cheapest it was the most concise and it covered all my requirement. That transaction was wonderful, the team was not pushy and the guys who installed it were top notch! Recently I was having issues with my sensors not working and when I called about it Jessica was very accommodating, courteous and professional. We scheduled an appointment and Miguel came out to look at the problem. He was very knowledgeable and quick to figure of the problem. Recently my garage door began to malfunction. It would not fully close unless I kept my finger on the button the entire time the door was closing. It would not work at all from the remote control in my vehicle. I called Door Pros for an appointment and in a short time a gentlemen by the name of Jim Thomson was at our home. He was clean, courteous and knew exactly what my problem was. Luckily it was an easy fix. While servicing our door we discovered another minor issue which could have become a major problem if not corrected and Jim took care of it. I called Jim from Door Pros to get an estimate. That's when the WOW started. He called me back with a few hours. Was at the property within a day. He took the liberty to drive around the neighborhood to determine what's the best look for the home. He sent several pictures of possibilities. He recommendation was spot on. Ordered the door. Was installed when promised. The installation crew did a great job. Jim called the day it was installed. Said he was going to do a few more things to make it look perfect. This company does great work for a reasonable price. I had a broken spring on my garage door and could not open it. They came out the day I called and showed up within the time window. The tech, Jim, installed new springs and the door was fixed in less than an hour. Within a few days the the track on one side of the door was out of alignment causing some problems with the door. I called and Jim was back the next morning to fix this. I took him about 10-15 minutes to straighten out the track and he added a roller which was in poor condition. They honored their 90 warranty and did a little extra work to fix my door at no extra charge. I highly recommend this company for your garage work. read more

He was courteous, professional, and very knowledgeable of his field. I ordered a Walkthrough (passenger door) garage door. The overall process was challenging due to the delay of the manufacturer. The delay was 3 months longer than the original estimate. My garage door had been severely neglected by the previous owner and was in need of a major overhaul. Door Pros replaced the springs, weather stripping at the bottom and sides and installed an external keypad. Scheduling was easy and Brad was out at my house within a couple of days. Greg was our sales contact and did a great job of getting us in the que because of the COVID-19 stay at home and work restrictions. When it came time Bayron was our installer and although we had to wait through the COVID-19 Pandemic, when our installation date arrived, Bayron was on time. He was thoughtful, diligent, careful and meticulous with the installation of our beautiful custom colored frame and frosted glass garage door and LiftMaster 8500w system. There were several issues with scheduling and changes from their end, and they charged a fee to come out to Sonoma County (which I accepted). They arrived and lubricated the windows, and told me that they'd order the parts and return to install them. I was surprised at the cost of this very short visit which included replacing a tandem lock and I was charged $75 for the part which is available for $18 on Amazon. I followed up a few times to check on the progress but didn't get clear info. Nearly 3 months later, I asked again and was told that they were waiting for me to 'accept the estimate' which I had never received. I had been told it would be a month or so to get the parts and then a couple of weeks to schedule, so this was disappointing. I finally saw the estimate and saw that they were charging me $73 for each trim kit, although they are available online for $16. I understand that business put a mark up on parts, but that's nearly 5x markup and combined with the confusing and inadequate scheduling and communications, it was a frustrating experience.

The original operators were installed 20 years ago and were always broken. Service calls from another gate company were costly and often. Marin Fence assured us at the time that the new technology had improved and we would be happy with new operators. They were reasonable priced and have worked flawless. Two weeks ago they came out to change the back up batteries. One quick phone call for an appointment and they were here in a few days. Showed up like they said. Changed the batteries.
