What an amazing company! The technician was kind, thorough and honest. Our garage door stopped working and the first company I called didn't even get on a ladder. They just gave me a very expensive quote to replace everything. When I said no, they quickly started discounting which is so tacky. Northgate Garage Doors didn't farm me out to an 800 number. When I called, they were professional and courteous. They sent their technician out within 24 hours. The technician did a thorough inspection (on a ladder) and found a short circuit. He had everything working within minutes for a nominal fee. He even oiled and inspected all parts. The service technician, Arden, was polite, friendly, and super-educational. Just needed a bit of adjustment and lubrication, and he explained what he was doing each step of the way. I would highly recommend this company. They were so professional, so customer friendly. The guy that came out to fix my ancient garage door went over the top and greased all the joints (it's now almost silent when it closes), tightened all the nuts and bolts as well as replaced the sensors. He even helped re-program my garage door opener which is not easy based on it's age. He didn't try to sell me a new garage door - just fixed mine, like the old days. My 27 year old Liftmaster garage door opener stopped working. I called Northgate Garage Door on Monday morning and described the problem. They suggested two opener models and I chose the one. After getting an estimate from Home Depot, I called Northgate Garage Doors. They were a third of the price and had better service. Doing business with local company's makes good sense. Kevin was at my house the next day and he was wonderful. He gave me several price points and explained everything in easy to understand terms. I paid a deposit for half the work, which is standard for these kind of jobs. My house is older and the garage door is a bit smaller. Nothing was too much trouble for them. I got a simple white garage door with cute little windows with a slant. The remote can be used with my cell phone and locked when I am out of town. The motor has a special feature which gently lifts up if anything is obstructing its path. This safety feature prevents accidents. There is a battery back up in the event of an emergency. This is a new State Law and is required. The Garage door motor is quiet and purrs. Kevin showed up with Noe to help during the installation and both were a pleasure to work with. The spring broke on our door so I called Northgate to get it replaced. Dale and Christian arrived near the start of the appointment window and got right to work. They worked well together and it was replaced very quickly. They also gave the door a going over snugging hinge nuts, lubing the rollers and adjusting the door closed height. My garage door was acting up and I thought New Garage door electric lifter. : ( But when Tech came out he said it was a stop switch on the track which it was and a whole lot cheaper then a new motor assembly! He explained the advantages of a new motor garage door opener which is his job but was not pushy about buying a whole new motor and mandatory accessories which I appreciated.... when my garage door opener does goes bad you can bet I will use Northgate to do the installation. Monday morning, no time to spare, can't open the garage door! The spring is broken and the cables are off, that door's not going anywhere. Who do you call? Northgate Garage Door sent a service man out, he did a temporary fix of my broken spring, got my car out of the garage, and I was off to work. These guys really care if you're stuck, and have plenty of experience with the rescue work. They do repairs of hardware, all the way through door replacement. Northgate Garage Doors was third out of three quotes I received and, although we were extremely anxious for a new door, we chose Northgate and it was well worth the wait!
