Update December 13, 2024 It took Door-to-Door Flooring 1 year to send someone to our home to look at the tile. After a year of emails, they hired a tile inspector to inspect the tile. The inspector found that the tile glaze was the problem. Door-to-Door Flooring does not guarantee the tile they install. I asked them to replace all of the tiles they had installed. They offered to replace the tiles with visible pits/holes. Last week (1.5 years later), 42 tiles were replaced and we were given several boxes of additional tiles for future replacement. I cannot recommend Door-to-Door Flooring. We went to Door-to-Door Flooring seeking high-quality tile. We were sold seconds at first quality prices. I needed to have carpet installed quickly to support a home sale and these guys did an outstanding job, as well worked over a weekend to help me meet my timing. The Job was complicated and carpet match was unusual, these guys had the right carpet that matched in a great quality carpet, the installation craftsmanship was better than the original as it was on a spiral staircase and it looked fantastic and helped to sell my house. Don't use this company!! Anne (company representative) actually instructed the floor crew to put the new floors on top of the vinyl (instead of removing the vinyl like started in the contract and THEN instructed them to 'use the least amount of prep!! BUT she accidentally sent these instructions to me (the customer)!! I took a screen shot of her texts that she meant to send to the crew! The worst customer service I've encountered in decades, she definitely is not polished and needs some serious training! Ruined the experience for sure. Scammers and super sketch. Sent someone over to estimate my floors but they couldn't match the quality of wood flooring in my home with samples they brought. Owner sends a proposal anyway but for what? No idea what the estimate is for if nothing matches. They called when I responded I was waiting on samples so this must be the wrong proposal. Owner Tom starts referring me To show rooms and telling me the "girls" at the showrooms would help. I asked if these girls were too young to work? He got super aggro that I was standing in the way of him Degrading women. Meanwhile his wife Ann is sending emails saying samples are on their way to my front door? I had no idea what I wanted other than I knew I wanted some kind of pattern and I wanted something softer than the sisal, that would hold up to kids and cats. He brought so many samples to my house so I could see how they looked with my wall colors and the handrail paint color. They installed it quickly and carefully! If you're looking for a floor expert with many years of experience, I highly recommend Door to Door Flooring. Tom was very professional and polite during our consults. The great thing about this company is that they come to you with floor samples instead of us having to go to an office. That was very convenient for me because it was easier to visualize what floors would match my home. My home had outdated carpets in the living and dining room area and we went with LVP floors and now they look great and more spacious! I love my new floors! The floor installation crew were very professional and got the job done quickly. They cleaned up everything at the end of their work day which was nice. We are so pleased to have hired Door To Door Flooring. After my private contractor stopped calling to start the job, I found this company online with its great reviews. The owner came out to my house personally and walked us through the tiling project and made very needed suggestions. The old tile was demo'd and the new title was set in one day including grout because it was a small enough area. Still, very efficient. There was a small concern we had about how the two steps were handled. They came out early the next day and fixed it the way we wanted it, no questions asked. Carpet installed in my mother's home today, whom I live with. Not sure how many installers were here, 4-6 as I saw. My issue is none, not one, we're wearing masks as promised. She postponed the installation several weeks ago due to Covid and decided to proceed since she was guaranteed the installers would be masked and taking precautions. She asked them why they were not wearing masks and offered them masks. They told her they were not wearing masks because it was too hot and they couldn't breathe with them on. I sat appalled. I wanted her to cancel the whole installation but she did not. I sat and watched them all day long from 8-6:30, coughing, sneezing, heavy breathing all over her house for 10 hours. The company sent a small bouquet of flowers in appreciation. I told her to tell them to send the get well or heaven forbid, sympathy flowers to same address in a couple of weeks. I have no words honestly. Very concerned as she is elderly and I'm immune compromised Update: To clarify... the installation was amazing. They did an excellent job and I would highly recommend this company. The owner was very attentive and communicative. My point is if you do not mind workmen in your home not wearing masks then these folks do a great job. I do however, mind and the reason for review is just that. Perhaps there was miscommunication regarding the masks. My mother is very pleased with her new carpet and that's what is important. They do a great job, just don't expect them to be masked while in your home. read more

Wow! THE BEST!!! From the removal of 30+ years of carpet and linoleum to the installation of tile in the entire house, plus a fireplace surround - a FABULOUS job! More than met our expectations. The tiles are perfectly aligned and look wonderful. Crews were on time, worked hard, and cleaned up every day before leaving. The disruption was as minimal as can be. We thought we might have to go to a hotel for one or two nights but didn't have to. Yes, there was dust but not as much as we thought. Tom touches base with you every day. Anne was very helpful when it came to selecting the products we wanted to install in our home - new carpet and new luxury vinyl plank. The carpet installers were professional and quick and did a good job. I really wish I could have given these guys 5 stars, but we ran into a major issue with the installation of the vinyl plank in our bathrooms and laundry room. After installation, I walked on it and thought, "huh - why does it sound like I am tap dancing and why can I see the flooring MOVE when I step on it?" They tried to tell me on several occasions that "this is just how this type of flooring is." Um, no. The answer was - it was not installed correctly. It took a week+ and lots of convincing on my part, and a few visits out to my house and a couple of attempts at "fixing" it, but in the end, they had to take out all of the vinyl plank flooring and reinstall. It was a serious pain in the neck, especially when you think you are done with an entire house renovation and it drags on... BUT, they made it right in the end. They also broke two tiles on my new master shower and did send someone out to repair, and the tile person did a fine job, but it did take him 2.5 hours to replace two small tiles. The things most upsetting to me were not only the fact that they continuously tried to convince me that "this is just the way this flooring is..." (come on!) but also the fact that Tom decided to invoice me the morning after it was re-installed (give us a minute to breathe after all that!) and the broken tile had not been replaced yet. Tom also tried to charge me more for the additional materials they needed to make it right, which were never offered or mentioned to me in the first place. I recommend not invoicing your customer until every issue is resolved! Oh. And do not try to charge your customers more when the mistake was entirely yours. read more

Mr. Tom failed to say he charged me $11,000 to get rid of him and his faulty work. Shoddy work at luxury prices

Well, it's been 2 years since the installation. I will say that Tom's service is impeccable. We had a situation last year when a termite exterminator came out and somehow ended up pumping water under our floors (long story), ruining several boards. Tom was on it right away, sending a crew member out to take care of it, who was professional and expedient. I have to say I'm rather lukewarm on these particular floors (laminate from Shaw), but in all fairness, I don't think that's Tom's problem. We don't drop heavy objects on our floors. We don't drag objects or furniture on our floors. Every single piece of furniture has protective pads underneath the feet. But there are some boards - I haven't counted, but I'm guessing 3-4 - in which the corners of the laminate have broken off completely. They're not large corners, but it's still really noticeable, and we were really disappointed to discover them because we take care of our floors and are not careless. Another thing is that when we shared the water damage experience with a handyman friend of ours, he asked why our contractor had not applied any silicon to the border strips, and we really couldn't answer why. So overall, I think I would go with Tom again if I had to do it over, but I would put more care and research of my own into which floors to go with. read more

He walked us through the various options, knowing we didn't need the most expensive carpet since we were moving. Tom's quote was in the middle of all the quotes we got. I was going to go with the cheapest option, but after thinking about it, I just liked the way Tom did business. He was professional, and knowing that he was the owner, I knew it was a smaller local business where I could count on great service. Tom and his team delivered. On our first phone call Tom was excited to say that he had some of the best installers in the business. And he was right! The installers were in and out in a day but did a fantastic job. They called me 30 minutes before they were finished so I could check out the work and they left the leftover carpet with us too. They did a great job finding a match for the existing engineered hardwood in the house, even though the older product was no longer available. The new floors look terrific! We are on our second flooring order with Door to Door Flooring. They installed our engineered wood floors in the first phase of our remodel about 5 years ago. They did such a great job and provided such great customer service that we decided to use them again for the 700 square foot addition we are doing. Tom helped us match the old floors with the new ones, and gave us a great deal and as usual great customer service. The floors that they installed 5 years ago are still beautiful, and the installation is excellent - they don't sound hollow like the engineered wood in the older half of the house - and feel great under foot. We had a couple of unusual scratches (two boards had pieces splinter very recently), and Tom took a look and had someone out to replace the boards quickly. read more

From quote to completion working with Tom and Beth Manion (and Jay, Romulo, and the whole Crew!) was a pleasure. We had seven quotes (seven different local flooring companies visited and submitted a bid) and though Door To Door Flooring was not the lowest bid, they were in the middle and the bid was among the most clear and complete - accounting for everything up front and any contingencies. (I've bought and installed flooring before, so I knew what to look for in a bid.) Scheduling was smooth and quick. Delivery of the material the day before to acclimate was smooth and quick. The job was three rooms at just under a total of 600 sq ft. It took them under 8 hours from arrival to full and thorough clean up. I walked all over the floors - no creaks, so the floor prep and install was done correctly. I got down and looked at all the molding and it looked even, well painted, and very clean. They did a particularly nice job of transitioning from identical flooring to the new flooring both in parallel (flawlessly matched) and in perpendicular (T-mold with the board seams matching on both sides) cases. I highly recommend them and wouldn't hesitate to contract them again. read more
