Over the years, we've had good experiences purchasing bound area rugs from Carpet Stop. The latest was delivered Friday, July 18. It was not as positive. We're happy with the rug, but as customers we did not feel as valued. Our delivery was delayed twice, and our salesperson had to be reminded several times he had agreed to pick up our old area rug and pad (for a fee, which we paid). This is one of my favorite vendor experiences. I needed new carpet for my bedroom and I went around the city looking at all the carpet shops to find what I wanted. Prosource had an incredible selection of carpeting and I was able to find exactly what I wanted. However, they never called me back to answer my padding questions. I started shopping around and stumbled upon the Carpet Shop. They quoted me a price for the same carpet that was remarkably less than any other place in town and provided me with several options for padding that would be appropriate. I felt so comfortable making this buying decision with them as they were so helpful and knowledgeable. The carpet was back ordered so they called and found out when it would become available and scheduled my installation for the next week. The carpet came in early so they called me and asked if I wanted to install earlier. I was thrilled they were on top of it and so flexible. Upon purchase, I was asked to put 25% down and informed that I could come in when the carpet arrived and look at it to make sure it was a color match to the sample I had as well as inspect it for flaws. I loved that idea because I would hate to have moved all the furniture and had the installer show up only to find something wrong with the carpet that would delay the whole installation. This insured none of that would happen. I paid the final balance during my inspection. And the installation went perfectly. They sent out their installer and within four hours I had new carpet. The installers had a real challenge on their hands because the carpet had huge pattern repeats. They matched the seams flawlessly. I dare anyone to find the seam in my bedroom. And, they made sure the carpet butted up to the doors, walls, fireplace and adjacent hardwoods with a smooth transition edge. To top it off, they cleaned up after themselves so that I didn't have to do any work. This was a perfect turnkey operation and I would highly recommend The Carpet Shop to any of my friends. read more

The installation crew literally leveled the entire foundation before installing the LVP. It looks beautiful!!! After installation, we found a high traffic spot that wasn't leveled. I worked with Matt and he was absolutely excellent. He was incredibly patient, and extremely accommodating. Always answered any questions and correspondence right away. When the installers came I was ready to police if I needed to, but they were also excellent. I communicated a few minor touch points I wanted addressed before they started and they got them all without any issues. I was very hesitant about using the Carpet Stop based on the mixed reviews. I found myself in a pickle without much of a choice, so on my realtor's word I called them up. I didn't have much of a choice because it was a Friday and I needed the carpet by the following Tuesday. Texas Flooring completely blew off our appointment on Thursday. They never even bothered to return my messages or apologize for no-showing. Doug from AAA Carpet never returned my call requesting a quote after he told us he would check what he had in stock. The people at Florh seem topnotch, but have no inventory for my rush job. Anyways, this left us with The Carpet Stop who said they were able to install new carpet on Tuesday. My hubby went to the warehouse and picked out our carpet. He worked with James, who was very professional and never tried to up-sale. They just finished the install and did an excellent job. Let me give you approximately 5 different ideas for how you can find this product that sounds strange and unusual (and maybe non-existent). It went on like this for a good 5-7 minutes. We just moved into a new home in Lakeway and needed new carpet in several rooms. I made the BIG mistake of calling The Carpet Stop. First call; I asked if someone could come out for measuring, or if I took measurements, could I come in and get a quote. Not possible I was told. "Well, Lakeway's pretty far. Can you call back?"
