We originally had her quote based off of an estimated sq ft and prices were much more competitive than the first flooring company we worked with. Alix quickly came out and took measurements. Ordering was very easy. When it came time to scheduled installation, they had no problem delaying it due to a vacation we had already scheduled. Prices are not listed which makes it very difficult for the customer to find what they need. Plus on our second visit we were met by a young woman who was very rude to us and most unwelcoming. I wanted to get a complete flooring job for an empty and small two-bedroom apartment that had that had sub+flooring irregularities or defects. Two other major flooring companies rejected the job outright when they saw the defects, and another quoted a job at about 30% higher than I paid. The service I received was very friendly and helpful, and I was able to choose vinyl sheet flooring, which is not as widely used and somewhat difficult to get hold of. Octavio was the leader of the crew that installed the flooring and they did a fantastic job. They were very attentive to details and did not express any dismay at the fact that they had to return a second day because the flooring float material was not able to dry fully in some of the hollows of the floor. They cleaned up everything and left it spotless. I had planned for them not to have to put new flooring in the closets, and had left a number of boxes in the closets, which they moved without complaint and ended up putting the vinyl everywhere which certainly looks very nice. I had to stop them from moving everything back into the closet because now that the flooring is in I can put the items where I want them to be rather than back in the closets. The only less than stellar part of the experience was the mistake that was made in the initial guesstimate of the price, leaving out the cost of installation, to that the final price was about 30% greater than the original estimate. I might have continued shopping around had I known that would happen. read more

We finally bit the bullet and replaced the flooring in our whole house with a beautiful luxury vinyl. (PureSPC - Savannah if you care) Great price and it looks friggin fantastic! Was an absolute pleasure working with Leah and her team at the Slaughter location. She was so knowledgeable and patient with us when we visited the showroom. She was also flexible with our budget, for example, by painting the baseboards ourselves we could get to where we needed to be (she had them delivered to us, it was a fun COVID project actually, took us about half a day if you are considering it). The tile guy came one morning, and was done quickly (and cleanly!) but when he was done, 1800 square feet took them 5 days, I was so impressed. There were some spatters of the base material and one area of the baseboard where I disagreed with the route they took, but I consulted with Leah and she was equally disappointed and remedied as soon as possible. It was a quick fix we could have done, but I appreciate her stepping up. read more

We were searching for ceramic tiles for a repair. The best match was found at the Flooring Warehouse showroom in Georgetown, so we went back and ordered what we had selected. The same person we had originally worked with was not there, but we figured they had saved the info, so we placed the order. What we thought we were ordering and what we actually got was the right tile, but the wrong color. The showroom says it's our fault, and "The tile company we ordered it from will not take returns", which fact they say was at the bottom of the order we signed. They are sorry for our inconvenience. The tile was Daltile -- 7 boxes plus 1 bag of grout. The price was $392. We subsequently found almost an exact match for the tile needed for the repair at Lowe's. The same quantity of tile & grout at Lowe's would have cost $97, and they had it in stock. None of this ordering, waiting, picking up from the warehouse, only to find it wasn't what you wanted when you get home. read more

I searched from north to south Austin for a suitable floor to replace my tile and laminate floors. I have two large dogs that have scratched the heck out of the 1970s floors I have. I needed something tough, but also beautiful. I chose Coretec floors - after researching the whazoo out of which floor to install. I come from a different state where hardwood floors predominate and I wanted to keep that look. I've refinished wood floors for the last time in my life. So - Coretec it was - and is. Now to find an installation firm. Around the corner from where I live is Flooring Warehouse - and sparkly, efficient and professional, Leah. From start to finish, Leah was an absolute godsend. Any little hiccough, she was right there - and demanding only the best from the crew. Amazing to have her on my side. I was going through other remodeling woes, and Leah at the helm of the flooring end of things was an amazing experience. I only wish she could have handled the other aspects of the project(!). When the workmen arrived to install, they were a little lost - in fact, they didn't see or pay attention to the "wear masks" note on my paperwork. This was the only disappointment, but the work they did was 90% right on. They did need to come back on another occasion and fix a few things but this they did spot on under the supervision of Ray, who like Leah, was absolutely amazing. He bent over backwards to see that the work was done well. Leah says that I "have her for 2 years" - which puts me at ease in the event there is a problem with the floors, which have decades of warranty. My floors look absolutely amazing - like real wood. Those who have seen it have thought they were wood. It's super easy to clean and maintain and my dogs love it too. From start to finish, things went as Leah from Flooring Warehouse said they would. This is not that common anymore. Time after time in the past, I have had contractors no-show or just not do what they say they were going to do. This was not the case with Flooring Warehouse. I am so happy! We had a decent size job of 2,000 sq. feet of wood-look tile to be installed. Their installer, Alex and his team member were the hardest working guys I have pretty much ever seen. Highly Recommend!! I worked with the North Austin location off of Braker Lane. I needed to replace tile in the kitchen & dining room + the carpet throughout the rest of the house. I worked with Jason and he educated me on the different flooring options. He was very patient, helpful, answered all my questions, and was thorough. I walked away with a sample to take home. Being that the timing was the end of the year, I needed to make a decision to ensure stock was available & obtain an estimate. Jason came to my house to take down the measurements and provided me with an estimate that worked within my budget. The install team was very efficient, and the floors look gorgeous. *Note-Lesson Learned: There were 6 corner spots whereby the installer had pulled up small pieces of the wall when taking off the baseboards. I was about to contact the company about this, however, Flooring Warehouse called as a follow-up to ensure everything went well and I was happy with the installation. I told them what happen and they immediately had a professional come out to "patch up" those areas. Since I was having new baseboards installed and walls painted, the touch-up work looked seamless due to having the paint on hand.
