Whoa, in and out with the quickness! Got service quotes through yelp from Doorkeeper amongst 3 other places and chose to go with this company. One, they are close to home and we love to support local businesses, two, they came to check and service 10 minutes within our phone consultation, and three, Jeremiah was very knowledgeable. Let me back track to what had happened--came home from work, started closing the garage when I saw the door jiggle and come crashing down. Ok so those were the sounds...nothing seemed crumpled, ok? No Hulk smash or anything. Took a few pictures and looked around on Yelp for garage door repair companies around us. Mind you it was around midnight so I expected a few hours for any response which was fine. Woke up and found responses--one of which was Jeremiah from Doorkeeper. Messaged him back and gave our phone numbers as contacts. Got a call back right away and said he was about 10 minutes away. Wow mind blown! He met with my husband and assessed the situation and lights. What he did was reinforce the door connected to the operator, replace ball bearings, tighten springs & lubed everything. He did a few test runs closing and opening and garage door and man it runs better than ever! Plus, there is a big sound decrease when operating the door -- our cousin will like it better as his room is directly above the garage. Sure....the Spring got replaced, some berrings got replaced...but now 2 days later our garage door wont close....I just phone Jeremiah to explain the difficulty and that I have already pressed the garage button 4 times...this is his exact response "It must be those sensors, they were giving me a hard time the other day" But guess what, he left the job undone if that is the case. I needed service for a garage door which dislodged from its tracks. I called a couple vendors in the early afternoon. DoorKeeper was able to take the job on the same day. Cameron arrived by the early evening, made an appraisal of the door, and provided his bid and explained each line item. I really appreciated that he made a genuine effort to keep costs in check. Cameron did suggest replacements of the old cabling and a couple hinges showing visible stress fractures ... very affordable add ons, and important for safety and functional longevity. I called the office at 8:00am, and by 12:30 the technician (Cameron) was at my home to do the garage door repair. My garage door got stuck and I wasn't able to close it. The Door Keeper was able to come out later the same day and help me close it. The employee that came to my house was pleasant. However, he wasn't able to fix my door that was a relatively easy repair, and suggested I purchase a whole new system. I was charged $95 to have the garage door closed. My regular garage door man that I have used for many many years came the next day he was available. He ordered the broken part, installed it, and then had to come back one more time to replace a couple of the brackets to protect the integrity of the door, so that I can hopefully use it for years to come. Two trips, and three parts, including installation was just a small amount more. I can't recommend someone who charges $95 to close a garage door, doesn't offer to repair the broken part, and tries to sell me whole system when not needed. read more

Very unprofessional company. He attempted to overcharge me for a garage door repair. He gave me a bid for $485, a price you could actually buy a complete door never mind just a repair. I had it fixed by Pacific Garage Door, a very reputable company, for only $200. Jeramiah the owner of the Doorkeeper gave me false information about the cause of the damage, which was actually due to poor original installation and improper adjustments. He said it was due to operator error. I would never use this company due to his lack of knowledge and attempt to overcharge for a relatively small repair. read more
