Unprofessional experience. Tech said it was his first time installing this type of motor- left me with zero confidence. Changed rates the day of -saying the motor price increased. Refused to deduct the initial $85 show up fee as they said they would. Was $200 less elsewhere AND a better motor and experience. To no fault of theirs when they came out in December my garage door was momentarily working so they greased it up and stated they still need to charge me $85 for the appointment. They stated they would reimburse that if I purchased the new motor through them. I reached out for them to purchase the motor. They responded quickly and said they would be here tomorrow. The next day when they came, they had no notes as they said they previously did and were not prepared to install. I did confirm the rate was the same as it was in December. The next day they show up, increase the rate and refuse to deduct the initial fee for showing up. As if that were not enough, they were very unprofessional. While on speakerphone I heard them complaining about another customer as well as giving the current technician a hard time about telling me how much the motor cost. It was very uncomfortable. After trying to calm the Owner down and repeating myself four times that I'm only asking them to do what they originally agreed upon he suggested that I go somewhere else. I agreed. He then repeated my name multiple times telling me to be careful because other people with charge more and swindling the rates with me saying it was a good deal. I said this is unprofessional and walked inside. They kept calling and stayed onsite a bit knocking on my door. They also stated I needed a more expensive Genie replacement. Turns out I did not. The LiftMaster is what another vendor is using and is overall a better motor and $200 less than what they were charging. Update: They did apologize afterwards and refunded the initial charge. Then called asking why I put this review up. Because it was my experience and wasted time. I had to hang up- then received another text- again very unprofessional. read more

I called these guys several years ago for minor repairs and was impressed with their knowledge, efficiency, integrity, & value. Today my door was sagging and breaking after a delivery driver apparently bumped into it. I was surprised to find them answering on a Saturday and even more surprised that they could be there the same day. I now know they do same day service 7 days a week. My door was very noisy. Today they repaired the door with new supports to avoid having to replace it and new springs to balance it w/ the new supports having added some weight. Tim also lubed it. I called All American Garage Doors at 10 a.m. and I spoke to Tiffany who is Steve's wife. Tiffany answered my call after the phone rang twice. Tiffany was very personable, polite, and she was really nice. Tiffany said they are a (family owned business) and have been in business for over (10 years). I asked Tiffany if I could set up an appointment date and time that Steve her husband can come over to my home to give me a (Free Estimate) on my garage door repair service? I explained to Tiffany that when I use the garage door opener, my garage door (closes) and then it (opens back up again). Tiffany told me she thinks the problem is a simple fix. Tiffany said that she can set up an appointment for her husband Steve and Monte his technician to come out to my home this afternoon from (2 p.m. - 3 p.m.). I was amazed that All American Garage Doors was able to come out to my home on the same day that I called. I also received a text message (1 hour) ahead to let me know what time Monte and Steve will be arriving at my home. That was really nice. Steve and Monte arrived at my home at (3 p.m.) this afternoon. Steve and Monte were both wearing masks. I opened the garage door, then Steve said I need a (Garage Door - Safety Tune Up Service). I asked him how long is the warranty? Steve said it is a (one year warranty) but my garage door needs to be serviced (once a year) for safety issues. Monte the technician did a excellent job of spraying the (4 springs) on the garage door with a lubricant. Monte also noticed (two large bolts) that was really loose and Monte tightened these (2 bolts) with a screw driver due to it was a safety issue for me. Steve removed the cover of the (garage door opener system) and reset the settings because he said it was messed up. Steve gave me an (awesome discounted price) on the (Garage Door - Safety Tune Up Service). I received $40.00 off on the original estimated price so I only had to pay a total of $80.00. Steve the (owner) gave me these (elbow bumps) twice after I paid him. After some back and forth messaging via Yelp, Stephen agreed to come take a look at a what I suspected was a broken spindle. He came later that evening to confirm and said that he'd place it on order and would be able to install it tomorrow evening. Based off of this, I canceled a meeting at work and left at noon in anticipation of him calling. 4pm rolls around and I hear nothing. I sent a text and a message via Yelp with no return. The next day I called the phone number on Yelp and was told by an associate that, "Stephen may have gotten busy and forgotten," fair enough. I was told to give him 15 minutes and he'll call me back. Still, no callback or message. After, waiting an additional day I've decided to move on. I would have been fine with a simple text or phone call to explain after the fact (e.g. your job is too small, I'm a little too busy right now etc). All of those would have been fine and it would have shown a little respect for my time, a courtesy that I believe I've shown by ensuring I was home at the time that he specified! Four stars for troubleshooting but I can't look past the fact the Stephen ghosted me. We're all busy, I got it! But communicating to someone when you're unable to meet an obligation is a fundamental principle of professionalism. read more

I rarely write reviews on Yelp but this one definitely deserves it. I called All American Garage Doors on a Sunday, and it happened to be the Sunday right before Memorial Day. Not only did Steve answer my call at 8:30 am on a "Holiday Sunday", but they showed up at my doorstep within an hour of my call. Very professional and knowledgeable on identifying and fixing the issue(s) I was had with my garage door. Price was very reasonable and the resolution time was even better. Tiffany was wonderful to deal with and very helpful in providing advice regarding what type of opener to get. They were able to come out and install two new openers the same week we moved into our new house. The only thing I'll mention is that the techs were almost two hours late arriving in the scheduled time window. I called Tiffany at the office, and she was able to contact the lead guy. After a while the door needed service and when we called they came quickly and did the repair. Our garage door came off the tracks on a Sunday night at 10 p.m. I asked several businesses for a quote and I ended up scheduling one and then Steve called me and I told him I had another provider. He graciously coached me to make certain I was careful on what would be required and to stay safe. I couldn't have asked for a smoother experience. My garage door spring/cables broke on a Saturday afternoon so I ended up calling their 24 hour line at 6pm on that evening. Tiffany picked up right away and was friendly and helped me trouble shoot what the issue was. She provided an estimate, explained what work she thought would need to be done, and scheduled me for the next day (a Sunday!). Stephen was at my house before 10:30 am the next day and my garage door was back up & running within two hours. Dylan came out within one hour of me calling them for a crack I discovered on the inside of one of the panels. They quoted me a price to repair it over the phone. When he arrived, he noticed one of the springs was also broken and of course needed to be replaced. Not a cheap thing to repair. He discounted the whole job by $60 bucks since it was going to be pretty big repair. He had it fixed within an hour and gave some tips on how to maintain it to last for many years to come. Have you ever driven away from your home and ask yourself if you've closed the garage door? You're not alone. Steve was instrumental in solving that problem by installing a MyQ device that works with Siri on my iPhone. I simply ask her, is my garage door closed, and she will let me know. If it's open I simply ask Siri to close it and it closes. The great thing is when the door is opened or closed I get a notification on my phone and Apple Watch which comes in handy when I want to know if my son is home. Definitely recommend. read more

After calling a few different companies for quotes, it became clear that All American Garage Doors was the company to go with - Tiffany quickly answered many of my questions on the phone, including providing a rough estimate before sending Steve over. Steve came over that same day to repair our garage door to make it functional until we replaced it. Steve made me feel a lot better about the situation (I had backed into the garage door) and helped guide my order (e.g., long panels v. short panels, etc.). Once the garage door arrived, it was quickly installed along with new motors and it looks and runs great (can hardly hear it open). There was a minor issue I discovered within a few weeks of the installation and All American Garage Doors came out the next day to fix it (without any cost). Everyone was really nice and easy to work with, with reasonable prices. I very rarely write negative feedback for anyone on Yelp or anywhere. I am a believer of giving the person or company the benefit of the doubt by reaching out to resolve the issue before hand. I called this company for a price on supplying and installing a new roll up door. Steve the owner who seemed really nice and professional came out to look at the job on sept 6th 2016. He said he would have to call me back with a price. Over the following three weeks period I called him twice and texted him at least three times after not hearing from him ,each time he promised to call me back as he was to busy at the time of my calls , which, sadly to say he did not. I can only surmise that the company is just way to busy to accept any more work or that they are not able to do the job. Either way it's really sad that I find myself having to leave negative feedback when one simple call from the company would have resolved this unpleasant situation from happening in the first place. read more

I installed styrofoam on our garage doors and noticed they were. It opening as easy as they were. I called All American Garage Doors in Escondido and talked to a very nice man. (Can't remember his name) He was able to send a tech out the same morning! Service tech Monte came by on time and was even wearing a mask. He was extremely friendly and knowledgeable. He went over the our garage door and noticed the cable was a bit frayed and needed to be replaced. (No doubt, our home is 26 years old) He adjusted the springs, replaced the cable and even adjusted the strut on the top of the door! No more light shows in. YAY! He let me know our small garage door did not have a strut. The builder usually does not install them on the small garage doors. We will be having AAGD come back at a later date to fix that door.
