Very clean shop. You set multiple appointments with one barber and you get there to only get 1 out of 3 haircuts done by that person and the others by a learning barber. Wish they'd be more transparent and honest. read more

Whoever cut my husbands hair needs to get their license revoked. Husband came in for a trim at the top of his head and a fade/cleanup all around. The guy ended up cutting off way to much at the top of his head, and didn't touch the sides. So now his hair is puffy on the sides and flat on top. Had it been April 1st I would've thought it was a joke. They butchered it so bad we may just shave it all off. Extremely disappointed seeing they had good reviews on Yelp. Would not come back and would not recommend . UPDATE: Husband went back in this morning to see if they could fix it. They attempted to fix it and still CHARGED HIM FULL PRICE after they cut and said, "it's technically another haircut", #%&@ your business, how the hell are you gonna charge us another haircut because you couldn't do it right the first time !? Had it been cut the right the first time we wouldn't have had to come in to fix it. Had it been cut right the first time it wouldn't have been a "another haircut". Not to mention the "fixed" haircut still doesn't look good. If they had told us that they were gonna charge full price for the fix cut we would've just gone somewhere else to get it fixed. read more

Went and got a hair cut here ... walked inside my house after and my wife started laughing. For context I get the most basic haircut ever. 2 on the sides high fade, finger length in the top, basically a high and tight. Wife said that the blending looked like I was reverse balding, there was no fade at the bottom, random patches had long hairs from spots he missed, and he didn't even cut the hair in the back of my neck. To make it worse when I called back to get it fixed they said I either needed to go to the same guy (heck no, Alejandro Tapia was his name) or pay for another haircut. They want to be dope but this is nothing more than a bottom of the range barbershop. Many unskilled barbers here that can't even fade or cut for their life. People keep changing and leaving. Don't let music, game table and their led ring lights fool you. Went here a few times with 3 different barber. Schedule and appointment and it's $10 more than the walk in price is ridiculous. Hair cut never even - ex 4 on top, he just went over once. Typically you would go over a couple or a few times to make sure it's all even. I asked for a 0 mid fade and dude gave me like a V in the back. Only showed the front and didn't notice until I got home. Take your money else where. read more

Im pasting my review of Carlos from 2 months ago when I first saw him at the other Dope shop, he is now permanently at this shop. I drove across town last week to get cut by Carlos again. Again, great attention to detail, perfect cut. This new shop is bigger and more room to spread out and wait for barber, plus there is some water and adult beverages while you wait. My schedule is kind of erratic, so its hard for me to schedule an appt and stick to it; so Carlos gave me his cell number so I can text him next time I have an hour free and see if he's avail. Thank you Dope. Pasted from the other shop: I came in as a walk in and got into a chair in about 20 minutes. I actually thought I was going to have to wait much much longer just by watching how meticulous the barbers were making their cuts. Embarrassingly, I pulled up a photo online (of bad ass Cable from Deadpool movie) and asked for that cut. Carlos looked at the photo for about 10 seconds, asked a couple questions, and was on his way. About 25 minutes later, I was a Josh Brolin look alike! Thank you Carlos for the attention to detail. Getting kids haircuts is probably the only thing this place is good for. I did a walk in and told the guy what I wanted and emphasized I did not want my hair thinned and he said "Oh don't worry I only thin if people ask for that". The guy was cutting my hair and would check his phone after every little cut. After getting one side done he started thinning my hair... I asked if that was the the thinning scissors and he replied with "Yea bro but don't worry I'm not thinning the top". this guy completely screwed up my hair and made it way too short. At the end I told him he forgot to cut the front of my hair the same way he cut the rest of my hair and he spun me very aggressively in my chair and went on a tangent on how he can't read my mind. This place is a great location and price for Clovis! I never have to wait long and the staff are very down to earth. They did an excellent job on my hair and my son's hair will definitely go back.One thing I really appreciate about this place is attention to detail and the atmosphere. So many barbers nowadays are charging so much for haircuts but you walk in and the place is messy and outdated. I called about 10 shops all together (shopping for a new barber for my boys) & some were very rude & "uninterested" on the phone. I set up an appointment for my 2 boys one with Carlos & one with Jessie. My boys & me (of course) were very pleased! Price was reasonable. Atmosphere, vibe, cleanliness of shop was all thumbs up! Setting up an appointment over the phone, via text, via email is SO convenient, they even send you a reminder text! Looks like we found our new barbershop! My 13 year son had his hair butchered, after we asked for only a few inches off the top. The barber's name was David L. Not only did he not listen to our request, he told my son "all your hair is gone bud". My son left in tears, and was very angry and embarrassed. I asked him why he cut it so short, he shrugged his shoulders and said I took it all off instead. Appearance is very important at this age, and I'm very disappointed in the service my son received. They really live up to their name. It was a dope experience tbh! I went as a walk in to take my son for his first haircut (my son is 1 year old) we've only waited for 15 min if that. They had a nice lounge area while you wait. In the meantime while you're waiting they do have a pool table and tvs.They offer complimentary water and alcoholic beverage for the adults. I've been to Saul and truthfully he's been able to cut my hair the way I want it and line my beard up with no issues. I decided to try Dope barbershop after my two sons were given terrible haircuts at SportsClips. I'm so glad I did. BarberBree is amazing. My kids hair looks great. She was able to cut both their hair in an hour while still being precise and paying close attention to detail. You can tell all the barbers there take pride in their work. Don't go to this place unless u have an appointment. Walked in 5 barbers and saw two guys sitting down so they took those two guys. Then 3 other guys walked in and all went ahead of us. So we sat for 45 min and got up and just left. I don't don't feel like the customer service is that great, they could have said it's better for u to make an appointment and come back. Tech the Barber did an excellent job on the top, front, and back for my haircut. But when it came to the sides, they are not symmetrical. On my left side, behind my ear, it got cut as a large "C" compared to my right side which looks great. It looks as if I had a bald spot behind my ear. read more

This place is awesome! The barbers working there act like a crazy family and are not afraid to let you be part of it and swap stories. I used to always go to Supercuts because I just wanted a cheap haircut. However, this time I was looking for a new barber to help me out with changing my style and was introduced to Vince! He did an incredible job! I showed him a picture of what I wanted, and he asked me a couple questions about length and lining my beard up and ran with it from there. My fiancée and I are ecstatic with the job he did and will make sure I go back to him from now on. Plus the cost is really no different than Supercuts and you get way better care and service!
