Thao does good job for my boyfriend's haircuts. He was in needed for a local barber and Thao was recommended. He is very efficient, fast, and a pretty chill guy to talk to. His haircuts are only 30 mins long. There's always parking in the front and it's pretty spacious salon for only one room but they have lots of chairs. They have refreshments and candy for people waiting. Thao is also very affordable too. Haircuts are usually $40+tip. read more

I was really excited to get a cut from here based off the reviews I saw but unfortunately my haircut was very disappointing. My hair was very patchy and the back was not lined correctly. I really do hate giving bad reviews but I've never experienced a haircut such as the one I received. I just wanted to leave an honest review to caution anyone else planning on getting a haircut here. I'd like to give the benefit of the doubt that maybe the barber who cut my hair was just not as experienced with different hair textures so if you do want to give this place a try maybe aim to receive a haircut from the owner, Chris, as a lot of the reviews seem to more reflect his skills. I usually get my cut from my usual guy but he was booked on my short notice but thankfully I found a slot open at Zitro Barbershop with Modesto. It was my first time here and first impressions were very positive. The space was done nicely. High ceilings, bright and open airy feel and modern decor. Can't hate on that. Loving the vibes there. Bonus points on using the harbor freight tool carts as the stations. Super cool idea. Also the music wasn't being blasted like some barbershops I've been to before. I once went to a shop where the place was blastic the music where you almost had to yell and that kills the barber/client communication which is almost always part of the experience, so props on keeping that in check. Anyways, I went here on a Saturday and was surprisingly dead with only Modesto working his appointments. Plenty of parking in the private lot which I guess could vary depending if there are events being held in Old Town Clovis. I got in about 5 minutes after my scheduled appointment but Modesto was not finished with his previous guy. I didn't go up until about 25 minutes later, which is cool because I wasn't in a rush but I know could pose a problem in other circumstances. Modesto informed me it was a more difficult client with special requests and I believed him because I was there to see the last 25 minutes of it. I got my hair cut and no complaints. Modesto was cool to talk to also which helps the overall experience of getting a haircut. I tend to stick to one guy and rarely do I move around when it comes to where I go to cut my hair, but now I have another to pick from. read more

Unfortunately I really hate leaving bad reviews but I got a haircut today at Zitro from Modest Lo and I have to say it was pretty bad. He trimmed my beard and forgot to even blend it in with my sideburns. Didnt fade the back of my neck like I asked, and there were long stray hairs left after the cut. He shaved my beard and didnt cut it in very well. Overall the barber shop was clean and the guy was really nice, but gave me the worse haircut I've had in about 10 years... sorry guys.
