I was coming from out of town but I called a few days In advance for an appointment which she confirmed... I was coming from two hours away. I got there at my appointment time and doors were locked. I then got a text 10 minutes after my appointment time that they had to cancel my appointment. Was very disappointed I had a cut from her prior which I liked and was the reason I was willing to make the journey to come back and get a haircut. But this really pissed me off. This business must really not want new customers. Inquired about a haircut for my husband. They said they were completely booked through the week. They didn't offer any times for the next week, and didn't even ask if we would like to come in at another time. I Live right down the street from this place and go to Johnny quick a couple times a week I have never seen anybody come in or out of this barbershop. I usually don't leave a review but my correspondence with this business left me feeling a little brushed off and just wanted to share my limited experience with the business just to know what you might get... I actually contacted this business this morning trying to get haircuts for my fiancé and our 8 year old (no particular date or time). We just moved here a few months ago and have seen it a couple times (it's literally right around the corner). Anywho we were corresponding pretty much back and fourth for most of the day... first response was I don't have availability until next week (no problem at all I used to be a stylist and we would be booked out 2 weeks minimum)... I said great let me know a date and time (again) more back and forth (still having not gotten an answer) I asked again and was told sorry I actually don't have any availability next week thanks for contacting us. There was no hey I'm sorry My mistake I'm booked next week but do any of these future dates work?... it was just a brush off and nothing. Honestly after wasting the day and getting the response I did I was a little irked and left my feedback as a prospective client (as I'm doing here now) but got no reply. Went in because I loved the work and wanted a haircut from this place for awhile. As SOON as I walked in I was told that I smelled like marijuana and was not welcome back until I didn't smell. Absolutely disrespectful, and ignorant. I smoke for serious medical issues and my body can't handle medication. Will never return and I recommend anybody who has chronic illnesses and uses cannabis to not even bother. Very rude an inconsiderate to customers who should care about your service. Disappointing. I don't know if whoever the scheduler is is high or just doesn't know how to look at a calendar, but just asking for when they have availability is a...special experience. I asked for availability for a Wednesday and Thursday and I get a reply that they're off tomorrow (Sunday) and Monday. I'm like, ohhhhkay, I didn't ask about Sunday or Monday. Then I get a reply that there's no availability in the near future when just two messages before, I was told they were "open" and what time would I like. It's a bizarre experience with someone who seems to be going senile. read more

I've been going to Megan for right around 6 years now. The shop is always clean and maintained and Megan herself is always professional. Megan always does a great job and is efficient. I have thick/coarse hair with grey, blonde and brown in it which is not the easiest to deal with. I get a cut every 2 weeks maximum, but if Megan doesn't have the availability I will wait until there is an open time. It's worth it! Every time I'm in the shop she goes above and beyond to make sure every little detail and line is perfectly faded, the part is straight and not too wide, the edges are finished with a razor and I'm cleaned off front and back. Megan holds herself to a higher standard than other shops and if you take a second to notice these details you will continue to return. The appointments make the time mutually beneficial for our schedules. Each of us takes into consideration that things come up from day to day and we work with each other to reschedule. If you are looking for the best around, it's Megan. But once you see how good she is you'll be ruined by all other shops or salons. read more

Almost a year or so ago I was in need of a hair cut last minute and I was going to a stylist; she was busy and recommended I reach out to Megan to see if she could accommodate my last minute request. Long story short since I met Megan and she cut my hair I've never went back to my stylist of 6 years. She does an amazing job not only cutting your hair, but also helping you determine which style best suits you and your noggin. Another option she offers is a full shave, and though I've only done that once I learned quickly that a straight razor shave is truly the closest shave one could get. I have brought my son here since she opened and today we came by and she said it was going to be awhile so we left and came back within an hour . When we walked in she was very rude and said she was no longer taking young kids...1. We been coming for months 2. Why didn't she tell me this before ? Very bad service.. Especially in front of my two children . Her wait time is usually ridiculous too... There is other barbers in town she should be a little more humble ... I always go to the store next to this barbershop , and have wanted to give it a try. Last night I went to grab some beer and noticed they were open. The hours are always changing , so it hadn't been previously convenient to go in. I peek my head in and notice Megan and a guy chatting. I ask them three questions. How much for a buzz? "$15". Can I bring my beer inside so it dosent boil in my car? I get a sarcastic "No". Do you take cards? "No cash only" I see on the yelp page it says they do take cards.
