I cannot believe I am writing this, but I actually had a great experience here. I was in the market for a used car, and via CarGurus.com, I found a current model year Honda CRV with very, very low miles here. I called ahead and confirmed they had it. When we arrived, Simon was ready to show us the car. We took a quick test drive and then returned to the dealership to engage in the usual song and dance. Simon returned from the manager's office with the typical BS stuff tacked on, and we had other cars to look at, so we departed. After looking at all of our options, we thought the CRV here was the best. I texted with Simon the following day and asked for the add ons to be removed and negotiated the dealer fee down a little. Much to my surprise, we were able to quickly agree and come to a deal. The only catch was that I needed to finance the car to get the advertised low price, but they said I could pay it off before the first payment. Juan, the finance manager, was great - no BS, no games. I ran all of the documents through Claude AI and confirmed that there were no tricks, no secrets, no "gotchas". We were able to e-sign the documents from home. I ubered to the dealership and arrived at 12:30. I was in the car exiting the lot at 12:54! It seriously could not have been easier. Please be advised that they keep the dealership refrigerated to arctic levels, so if you need to spend anytime there for negotiation or credit approval, bring a sweater! And a coat! And maybe some gloves! Kudos to Simon and Juan for not being the stereotypical vultures! This was a really relaxed and stress free process. read more

I brought my 2012 Volkswagen Jetta to this dealership for an ABS module replacement and was repeatedly reassured that the issue could be fixed. However, they kept my car for more than two weeks and ultimately were unable to complete the repair despite those assurances. When I received my car back, the speedometer was no longer working, and both the check engine and EPC warning lights were on. None of these problems were present before I brought the car to the dealership. When I called to ask why these new issues had appeared, the staff acted as though they had no idea what had happened and offered no clear explanation. Also since then I have had to replace the battery twice since the car has died on me multiple times. I have been servicing my car here for 7 years. the way that i was treated this saturday at the service department was baffling. as soon as i arrived the man working the service area manny asked me rudely if i had an appointment, i said yes and he barked back "at what time" i said now at 1pm. he then proceeded to scream at me "okay so get out of the car" when i started to gather my things he started to scream again saying "okay so get out" i am a young gay girl and felt that this was very targeted based on my look and disgustingly homophobic. once i got inside everyone at the service desk was on their phones looking down, i walked in and said hello when everyone finally looked up. the guy helping me out said my service guy was busy and it would be a while. i waited about 30 minutes before someone came out to help me (wasn't even my service rep btw) and i explained to him what was going on with my car i was there for my 10k oil change and two recalls on my car. two months ago i tried to make an appointment for my recalls and was told "we don't have time to do it" since it was a 3pm appointment and their service closes at 5. i was already on my way and no one from the service dept called me in advanced to tell me this. this appointment they told me the same thing "we cannot service your recalls it is too late" i booked at 1pm. i drive a 2025 with 10,000 miles which i bought when the car was at 7 miles. there is a bunch of noises and problems coming from the car, when i stated the breaks squeak the guy helping me said "well that's the person who drives the cars fault" i was BAFFLED. i proceeded to enter and find a manager who when i entered their office they were also all on their phones and i had to announce myself again. this manager was disgustingly rude, dismissive and no help at all. i explained how i was treated and did not even receive an apology. i explained to him everything happening and his solution was "well you have to come back to get the recalls done" or even better he said "WE CAN PUT YOU IN A NEW CAR" instead of FIXING WHAT WAS WRONG WITH THE CAR THEY SOLD ME. nothing was done he just kept saying "mhm, mhm" nothing fixed, no apology. nothing. i called Gunther VW in clermont, since i have family in orlando who recommends them and the lady on the phone apologized more than the dealer who treated me like shit. i have serviced all my cars here and will NEVER AGAIN come here. these people are rude, homophobic and absolutely disgusting. customer service is at a zero. these people suck. disgusting. read more

This review is about service and pricing. I visited Doral VW on June 13 to look at a specific car listed at their website for $22,475. They were super friendly, answered all my questions, and not pushy. I worked with Jose, Daniel and Susan. All pleasant. The price they were willing to sell the car for was $28,000. That's fine. There is sales tax, dealer fees, I get it. The curious thing is that the detailed explanation of the additional $5525, even after my asking, was not forthcoming. So...again, not a bad experience, but the pricing was vague. So...in future I will find a VW dealer that is more price transparent. read more

I called to inquire about an Audi SQ5 and was shocked at how rude the sales rep, Daniel, was. Right off the bat, he told me the price would be $5,000 more for an all-cash deal because the online price is only available if you finance through them. When I asked to speak to the sales manager, he claimed he was the manager, which felt dismissive and unprofessional. I told him I was ready to buy and asked if he could work on the price at all--his response was a flat-out "no" with no effort to assist or negotiate. Absolutely terrible! I bought a car from Doral VW. They overcharged me on something and a few months later sent me a check in the mail. I deposited the check into my bank account and the check BOUNCED. I tried to contact them so they can resend a new check. I have been emailing and calling them for over a MONTH. Not one single person has EVER returned a call or email. On the rare occasion I can even get someone to pick up the phone they just transfer me to a voicemail where my voicemails go to die. No one calls back, every manager I'm supposedly referred to doesn't get back to me ever. The accounting department, the finance department, the general manager- not one single person has ever gotten back to me. I've even tried emailing the emails left on previous reviews here, nothing. They owe me money from a mistake of theirs and they will not give it to me. They are a horrible dealership. I had a very disappointing experience dealing with Ariel in the Parts department. From the moment I interacted with him, he was extremely unprofessional and unnecessarily rude. Instead of being helpful or courteous, he acted like my questions were a burden and responded with a condescending attitude. Customer service clearly isn't a priority for him. He made no effort to provide accurate information or offer any assistance beyond the bare minimum, and when I tried to clarify details about a part I needed, he cut me off and spoke over me. It was one of the most unpleasant customer service experiences I've ever had. If Volkswagen wants to maintain its reputation, I seriously hope they address this kind of behavior. Not a Review but a WARNING: VW SERVICE DEPARTMENT Dropped of our relatively new VW Atlas after the engine light came on, car was slightly shaking occasionally when at a complete stop. Service Providers were P@bl@, L@z@ro & @m@r. 3 days later they told us we needed to spend $3,000+ plus to change a cylinder and flush the radiator fluid. We said absolutely "no" to flushing the radiator fluid because they had done it less than a year ago. So they said, the fuel injector replacement would be $2,600. Within minutes, I contacted another auto shop and they gave me an estimate $1000+ less. Instantly I called them and told them that I did not want to overpay by more than $1000 for the repair. They said they would call me back in minutes and they would look to match the price. Within minutes, they were able to match the price with "coupons they found." The next day they called us and told us that they could not fix the car and that the engine head was broken and needed to be replaced! The new estimate was well over $9000+ and they advised us that we needed to sell the car immediately! When I started asking more questions pertinent to their diagnosis, there was no answer, except for us to pick up the car as soon as we could, and that they would not charge us for any of the repairs!! What repairs???? No pictures of the repair were provided as they attributed it to the weather. Keep in mind their garage is indoors. When we picked up the car, the engine was now shaking tremendously, even while being driven and now the AC was broken, which neither were the case when we dropped it off. We took it directly to another mechanic that put fuel injector cleaner into the motor for $10 . He kept it for two days because he needed to pressurize and check the engine head and REPEATEDLY told us that he couldn't find anything wrong with the car except that the AC was broken in a weird place. We took the car home without shaking, drove the car for two weeks, just to make sure. Ultimately, we took it back to the same mechanic who fixed the air. I did ask him why he thought that the car was shaking so bad when he received it and his best guess was that water was possibly in the gas?!?!? It's been over a month now and there has been no issues with the car. Luckily, we did not sell the car or pay the exorbitant amount they wanted in order to fix it. They wanted to charge us $9000+ to replace something that we've discovered to obviously not be broken now on a relatively new car! Barely if ever do we write negative reviews, but again this is a WARNING more than anything else. We will NEVER EVER return to this dealership. I want to share a very bad and dangerous experience I just had with Volkswagen Doral. I never do this and I don't like to do it, but I have to report it for your children safety. I just bought a 2021 Cross Atlas with 31K miles for my family with 3 young kids, 7, 5 and 2 years old. I was looking for a safe car, from a trustworthy dealership. 3 weeks later, I get an alert on the car regarding the tires. I inflated them, the alert comes back the next day. One tire is flat. I went to Goodyear and Tires Plus to check the tires. They told me they've never seem something like it: the tires are 2018 and look like they've been used for 100K miles. The 4 of them needs to be replaced. It's too dangerous to drive with these tires with 3 kids. It costed us $1,300 to change the 4 tires. We had no choice as we want our kids to be safe. Before paying that amount, I called VW Doral to explain the matter. They didn't care at all. Just repeated over and over again that the tires passed the security check, that it's an used car sold as is, and that I got a good price. I asked them how they can put our kids in danger selling tires in terrible conditions. They don't care. I asked them how they can be mislead customers and be dishonest by selling a 2021 / 31K miles car with 2018 / 100K miles tires. They don't care. I then went to Carmax across the street to buy a second car, I had a 10x better buying experience (fast, efficient, caring). Then Carmax even went the extra mile! They told me they could take the car back for additional repairs like painting the doors, polishing the rims, treating the leather. All of this for free of course while paying me a rental for 3 days. That made all the difference in the world. Don't go to Volkswagen Doral!!! Don't take that risk for your children. read more

We went to Doral Volkswagen hoping to find a solution for issues with our 2022 VW Atlas, but instead we received the worst customer service I've ever experienced. We waited over an hour and a half to speak with the sales manager, Alain Diaz, only to be met with complete rudeness, zero empathy, and zero willingness to help. Mr. Diaz told us the dealership had "nothing to do with our situation" and that it was "no longer their responsibility." When I explained that the car had major issues just 5 months after purchase, he dismissed it and said, "well then proceed with your lawsuit." This is not the attitude a manager should have toward a customer experiencing a serious problem. To make matters worse, the day before, they made my husband and co-signer go through full credit checks under the false promise of helping us, only to waste their time and damage their credit with unnecessary inquiries. my recent experience has left me profoundly disheartened. On 5/4/24 after filling up my gas tank, I noticed a significant discrepancy between the displayed fuel level and the actual capacity of the tank. Despite only being able to fill it up to 370, the digital display showed 400. Over the course of three days, this figure inexplicably increased to 630, rendering it impossible to ascertain the true level of fuel in the tank. Upon returning to your dealership, I was assigned L*z*ro as my customer care representative. He informed me that my car would need to undergo further diagnostic testing, and provided me with a loaner vehicle that was both unclean and only partially fueled. To my surprise, I was charged $30 for this service, despite my car being under warranty--something I found utterly unjustifiable. Subsequently, L*z*roinformed me that he would need to take my car overnight to his house and also involved driving it to various locations next day. Upon contacting him for an update, I was met with dismissive and unprofessional behavior stating that I can't be calling him every day, culminating in his suggestion that I retrieve my vehicle if I was concerned. In reality, I never called him and that was my first time calling to see if there is any update since he promised he will follow up with me but unfortunately he didn't. As a pregnant woman relying on this vehicle for my safety and that of my unborn child, I find this treatment unacceptable and distressing. I implore you to uphold the standards of customer service and warranty promised to me at the time of purchase. My trust in Volkswagen's commitment to its customers has been severely shaken by this experience. When my car was ready for a pick up, I got a missed call from the dealership with out a voicemail and I got a text stating car ready for pick up. I called back no answer. I waited till the following day I called no answer. I had to call customer care service and have them call the dealership. In the afternoon I got the call that the issue is fixed and I can pick up my car after being at the dealership for a week. When I arrived, I was told to just go sign the paper and someone will bring my car. 0 customers service and I'm really disappointed. I also brought my vehicle to your dealership due to a concerning issue with the brakes producing a whistling noise. Had an unpleasant experience during my recent service with VW Doral. Came in just for a regular annual oil change and was charged for a fuel treatment and additional mechanical jargon as per invoice. From what was a low $100 oil change now was $250 (with a nail fix on a tire). I kept emphasizing I only wanted oil change. I was charged for the shuttle service even though they promote it as "complimentary shuttle" and then add miscellaneous charges on the invoice. Advisor P@blo did not go over invoice with me after car was ready for pick up, I communicated request for lyft to pick up My car and he never answered (1 hour passed and still no call back) he was not answering texts or calls and I was forced to find my ride to the dealer. And then charged $21 doe shuttle services, which I find really upsetting. I have been taking my VW there for many years and this will be the last time. read more

I recently brought in my vehicle for some warranty services and some personal touches, and like any good consumer, I did some price comparison; While Esserman was not the least expensive, they did offer the best value. let me explain - Installing some VW mudguards, rotating the tires, checking the joints and struts, and installing the internal wiring for a dashcam might cost you less at one of the many shops in town that do this kind of work, but only Esserman has the in-house expertise and talent to do the job right the first time, to factory specifications, and gives you a warranty that is far superior to anyone else's. Add to that the availability of a loaner vehicle or transportation back home or work, the incredible customer service, and the donuts, you can't beat these guys. Did I mention the donuts? When people tell you that taking a car to the dealer for service and repairs is always considered the more expensive option, they are not factoring in something very important. Quality of Service. Price comparisons can be tricky. If you really want to compare apples to apples, you should really factor in the following: Genuine Parts - This dealer encourages you to do some comparison shopping for parts. If you can find the part, they will install it for you. Just make sure you are using an OEM part from a reputable source. Volkswagen Certified Technicians - Many mechanics in town say they know how to work on these cars. The truth is, that while many of them do, most of them don't. I have had that experience, and it's expensive. Esserman will warranty their work. Transportation - When was the last time you dropped your cart off at a repair shop and they provided you with a loaner or a Lyft back to work or home? There's value there that people overlook all the time. These are the big three items I look for when pricing in the costs of maintenance and repairs for my VW. Additionally, this dealer offers little perks like online scheduling, car wash, free Wi-Fi for those that like to wait, express service for oil changes, etc., and donuts and coffee in the morning. (DUNKIN' DONUTS NO LESS!). Last and certainly not least, get to know your service advisor. Most have been there for years and know their way around the vehicles and brand they represent. They will be your main point of contact and can provide a wealth of information. HORRIBLE, EXPENSIVE AF, and RUDE!!! My mother went in for just an oil change and they charged her $124. For a simple oil change. I spoke with Andres T (the advisor) and he stated "those were their prices". I asked if they're adding anything else to that or if there was something else he could do to minimize my 66 year old mothers expense. He said that was that. I simply mentioned to him they're duplicating fees / surcharging her for a simple Job. My mother was taken aback that they didn't even do an inspection on the car or a tire rotation. Something that was standard on her last visit. He then told my mother that I ACUSED AND CALLED HIM A THIEF !!! Words I never uttered to him on that call. It took me 9 calls to get ahold of him. And when he did pick up the phone, He was very short with me. And to add insult to injury. He tells my mom that just bc of this. He's gonna give her a discount bc "my mom is the much bigger person here and nothing like me". Still leaving the price at $99. WTF of a discount is this. Of course, now that her 2019 warranty is up on her Jetta, they're gonna spike these prices. Talk about corporate greed here! If I could give this place a much lower rating, I would. Be CAREFUL WITH UPGRADING. We came in for Battery trouble and one tire having trouble by the time we checked out the bill came out to $954.83. I am attaching a picture of the bill. They charged $177.00 for each tire on a 2018 Passat and we definitely needed a wheel alignment because of these two new wheels. You have been warned. read more
