As you enter the big yoga room with all the silks hanging it can feel a little intimidating but don't worry, Carol or whoever your instructor is will walk you through how to use the silks safely. I reached out multiple times to raise my concerns and ask about options moving forward, but was simply told that nothing could be done. The concept is great, but the communication and support experience did not match expectations.

I tried assuring her I had received confirmation (from Club Pilates). She asked if perhaps my membership was through Class Pass because they didn't participate with One Pass. I told her I was given a member code to give to them. While I searched my phone for the code she exasperatedly asked for my name. It was at that time she put down the towels she was folding. She looked on her computer, and said, she found it. I signed the waiver, asked my questions - including how much private lessons cost? She replied, "oh they cost a lot of money." She never told me how much. I left. I felt so unwelcome. I wondered if she just didn't want to do her job or didn't want me there. Her sheer lack of effort, condescending, and lackadaisical attitude made me wonder should I cut my losses and find another gym? After careful consideration I decided that she didn't get to decide my fate so I scheduled my first class with Madi and loved it! I haven't seen that receptionist since and hopefully she's gone. Lol. The gym is small and intimate with reformer machines. Classes range from beginner to advanced pilates daily. The location is at the Outlets near Peets Coffee with shared parking. You feel it in your chest before you even step on the sand. The sand is darker and softer than most beaches, almost cool even in the sun. Behind you are tall grasses and weathered driftwood, not hotels. In front of you is nothing but horizon. There's a small creek cutting through the beach and a wooden bridge crossing it, which somehow makes the whole place feel more like a nature preserve than a tourist stop. People aren't blasting music or playing volleyball, they're walking, breathing, taking pictures, or just sitting quietly watching the water. If you want a loud beach day, this isn't it. If you want to slow down and actually feel the ocean, this is one of the most peaceful places near San Francisco.

There wasn't many people there at the time I went. It felt like I owned the area to myself for a little bit :) There's street parking (free). There were benches all along the sidewalk and the pier, if you just want to sit and watch the ocean waves. I definitely will be returning for some more Vitamin sea time! :)

Several months ago I started going to Dorene's Sunday morning class and have expanded to her Thursday evening class and a yoga hike. Needless to say they are my favorite classes that I highly recommend to everyone. There is enough variety that it always keeps things interesting and Dorene is great! I look forward to the classes so never have to make myself get off my butt and go. I am new-ish to yoga and not very fit. I enjoy very much Yoga RX on Saturday mornings. I have never been interested in yoga but this class is one I never want to miss. Doreen uses blocks, massage balls and rubber bands that intensify the stretching exercises. She always ends the classes with meditation and the music is the perfect addition to such a great class. Laura warmly greeted me and instantly made me feel welcome. The studio is spacious and still practicing Covid guidelines because there are markers for where to place your yoga mat. You have to bring your own yoga mat and wear a mask. However, I love all the props that are provided! I used the blocks and pillows for extra support during stretches. Laura had such a calming and relaxing voice. I loved how she asked the class what part of the body we would like to focus on. She came around each person and helped assist with poses which I really appreciated! I got the most out of the class with her feedback for me! This class had me so relaxed and zen I felt I melted into my mat. Thank you Laura, looking forward to more classes here!
