Most quiet room EVER! Ask for the rooms that face the center of hotel -so NO outside noise. Has a 24/7 gym to work out. Room service is also 24/7. Staff is friendly and very efficient. Lots of great shops and eats in the area. I will be back. Never had such a great sleep at a hotel before. Room is not huge but still bigger than a NYC hotel room. Free WiFi and free full breakfast too. Loves it! WOW! Ps. Forgot to mention they have a Spa in the hotel. They offer facials, massages, manicures etc. Ppss. We booked this hotel for the location AND because it offered air conditioning for our summer visit. After we arrive we are offered a fan since the a/c is so weak. Or a refund if we choose not to stay. How are we supposed to find another hotel near this location and then have to maneuver our luggage to another hotel. If your a/c doesn't work in hot weather then why advertise that you have it in the first place? read more

FUCING AWESOME!!! London is quite an expensive city, but if you're will to stay a few tube stops away the touristy city center and book months in advance, you too can score £100 /night for 4 nights like I did! PROS: -Huge room and bathroom. -Large comfy bed. -Rooms in the back were very quiet -Big flat screen TV -Premises and room are very clean, modern, and chic. -Bathrobes! -Near Hammersmith, Circle, and Central tube lines...easy to get to anywhere in London, including to/from Heathrow Airport. Lots of bus options too. -Staff was friendly. -Wide variety of restaurants, pubs, bars, shops, and grocery stores nearby. CONS: -Open shower area in the bathroom, so it creates quite a watery mess in the bathroom. But for honeymooners and romantic holidays, this might be advantageous... -Breakfast is 15GBP, but you get cheaper breakfasts outside for 4-8 GBP at places like Hummingbird Cafe or Liz Cafe. -Takes an extra 5-15 minutes to get to London's tourist attractions. But for such a luxurious hotel for the price I got, it was absolutely worth it! CONCLUSION: If I can score a similar deal, I will definitely stay here again! read more

Great location but cramped rooms and it felt like a discordant design team has designed the bathroom, as some things are great, and other things just suck. Firstly, the loo seats are skinny - they were super uncomfortable to sit on and I felt very unsupported. The shower pressure also wasn't that great. And there was just one hook to hang your clothes on. Parking is £24 for 24 hours and it's valet service - there is a small side street / alley way right after hotel - it's sorta blink and miss - but you can drop the car there and then the valet will park it for you. What I liked - the bathroom amenities like sewing kit and excellent brand of shampoo plus soaps. Also the magnifying mirror in the bathroom. Excellent location. What I disliked was the soft pillows, the design of the loo seat, the lack of hooks in the bathroom, the indifferent water pressure, the box like rooms and the breakfast buffets layout was an absolute pain - kept pausing behind other people trying to get food, the omelette maker line disrupted pathways and when stuff like cheese or juice glasses ran out, it took a while before staff put out new stuff. Final conclusion: great location but might try elsewhere next time. read more

Stayed here for six nights while visiting London. Reserved the room about 10 months in advance for about 100 pounds a night ($150 USC). Room was small. Bathroom was small. Hardly any closet or drawer space. The closet did have a safe for valuables though. Bed was comfortable. Cleaning staff was on point. The fitness center had about four machines and some free dumbell weights. The business center has two computers and a color printer. Located near three London Underground lines, all within walking distance. Lots of dining options in area. Also a short walk to The Westfield Mall. Small lobby bar that serves coffee also. No complaints other than the small room, but we were in London to play tourist, so the room was only used for sleeping and storing our London swag. read more

For the price point we were very pleased with our three night stay: Location - For those of you who are visiting London for the first time or visiting to see the main London attractions, this location might not be the best the city had to offer. However I found it perfect as the bus stop is directly in front of the hotel. This was helpful and appreciated after a long day of exploring London and all you want to do is get back to your room without a lengthy walk. The tube however is about a 7 minute walk which wasn't too bad either if you prefer to travel around underground instead. Room - Although not very large (if you want a bigger room you need to pay more obviously and smallish rooms are expected in densely populated cities) it had modern touches, smelled nice (nothing's worse than that dreaded stale smell) was quiet and clean. We had good nights sleep during our stay as the bed was spacious and extremely comfortable. Bathroom/shower didn't feel grimy which is also another plus. Just a "warning" in case you like privacy but the shower wall is fairly see through from the room. Whoever you'll be sharing your room with will be able to see you shower, not just the silhouette. Wifi was a bit on the weak side however it was free so I can't really complain too much. Service - Check in/out was quick and painless. Staff are very accommodating. They brought up a spare outlet convertible within mere minutes of requesting one via a phone call to the front desk. Some services/features they offer but didn't utilize: 24 hour room service, a spa on the 8th floor, a gym and a restaurant on the ground level. I'm returning to London this Christmas and I wouldn't mind staying here again. read more

The room i was in was small, but nicely decorated and comfortable. The shower was frikkin awesomeness bundeled up in a big fat bow; honestly, I'd go back for the shower alone. Also, for any battle worn weary traveller who constantly forgets the basics like a razorn or toothbrush, the dorsett has you covered - spare kit in the rooms as standard. I got my room for €134 for the night, good value for london and it included breakfast, which was very good. I don't stay in london center very often but happy to make this place my go-to from now on. This is a decent hotel. Clean nice looking. The staff is helpful. Room is small but that is common in London. The bathroom and shower were amazing! Free coffee and tea in room. It has ac (so many places don't have it so it's a plus). The tube (train) is a 3 minute walk. Buses stop in front of the hotel. There are stores and a park in front of the hotel. I heard people complaining about getting cold breakfast at the restaurant there. They have concierge. Looks like a hotel you would see in New York City. However the area is sketchy returned from a concert at 11pm and there were strange people lingering near this hotel. As you walk to to the train you will pass through an Indian community. They have jewelry stores, restaurants, Indian food, a flea market. It's like a little India community. Overall this was a good stay! The hotel itself is enormous. read more

Really nice stay. Staff are super friendly and accommodating (a special shout out to Pablo at the lobby bar for whom nothing was too much trouble). Easy commute into the center of town for work or for sight seeing. Having all of the restaurants and Westfield around the corner was also convenient. Only slight complaint is the gym, however, this could be easily fixed (along with a couple of pieces of equipment) with the addition of a tower and a little more space. Definitely up and coming area and a nice hotel that I would recommend. read more

I stayed at the hotel and the best thing about it was the bartender !!! The rooms are small it's like a closet with a bed .. The breakfast is good The reason this place can't get not another star from me is the night screw. From the fat security at the entrance to the girl and two guys behind the desk they are completely racist. it was a group of 17 woman of color. we came in late night sat in the lobby to debrief on the sat and they came to us each and every night telling us we couldn't drink in the lobby we couldn't eat in the lobby but they only said something to us agnelo the head security is the worst he let other people not of color drink wine walk out with the glass and pass him the bottle on the way out kairon told them they can have 5 minutes to finish their bottle but never said anything else to them but every night when we sit in the lounge it's empty bottles of wine and beer all over which did not come from us but were harassed about it when we brought it to their attention they told us if the cops come they will get fined i spoke to the supervisor about this behavior in the day time and that night we were harassed again #BLACKLIVESMATTER just not at the Dorsett read more

The location couldn't have been better in my opinion. It was literally steps (3 min walk) to the nearest mall. 5 minute walk to the Shepherds Bush train station, a bus stop directly outside of the main door and cabs always in queue. The staff was pleasant and extremely accommodating. They provided us with an umbrella, adapter and fan upon request. The spa (SPAMIKA) was amazing!!.. but I'll rate them in another review. The two issues I had with the hotel is that one it needs updates. The carpet and upholstery were stained and torn and the faux leather couches peeling and cracking among other things like the front door not working. Secondly the in service breakfast was overpriced ($60 after conversion) and extremely stale and underwhelming. Aside from that the hotel has many beautiful features and could be the backdrop to awesome vacation pictures. But with all the competition I probably wouldn't return. read more

**This is a review of the lobby bar only** We came here on my wife's suggestion given that the Bush was packed with footie fans. The lobby bar is a little sterile but certainly an interesting space (see photo). I'm not often in a place where I can choose cocktails so we eschewed the beers in favour of a "Vesper" Martini and two Mojitos. Good cocktails after the adrenalin rush of Max Max-what could possibly go wrong? Well, quite a lot really. Service itself was brisk and polite as you would expect. We were served some popcorn but having demolished a large bucket of the stuff in the cinema it went untouched. When the cocktails arrived we sat and drank and the atmosphere became decidedly more muted as we were all simultaneously disappointed with our drinks. My son's was the worst-he said it was very watery and had almost no taste. It certainly looked very pale and much more so than my wife's. I tasted it and all you could taste was the ice and soda water. Very poor. My Martini was almost as poor. Ok, so I had never had a Vesper before but all martini's should be a huge nuclear punch of unrestrained alcohol. This tasted so weak I could have had five of them. All I could taste was the vermouth-very very poor. When ordering the bill my wife overheard the "mixologist" at the bar (who looked about 14) saying to a waiter "Er.. I think I know how to make that." The only good point was the fact it was happy hour and so two for one! We left it too late to complain about the cocktails having sipped them for a while trying to persuade ourselves they were nice (which they weren't) so said nothing which is uncharacteristic. Should the owner of the hotel (which I am sure is perfectly nice to stay at) be reading this please, please TRAIN YOUR BARMEN! On the plus side it is a nice place for a (non cocktail) drink and they do light bites which looked very nice. read more

Converted from a 1920's theatre, this is a posh, friendly, and beautifully decorated hotel. I've stayed here for a few business trips, and overall I really like this place. Request a park view room! THE GOOD: Beautiful interior design, comfortable bed, nice breakfast spot in lobby, 24hr gym, spa, and friendly staff. Location is central and near a train station, and a 40 min walk to Kensington Palace. Right outside a nice park (Shepherd's Bush). THE BAD: Smaller rooms (but such is London), while staff is friendly they seem inexperienced and not well trained and/or not organized (examples: forgot that I requested a park view, and when I extended my stay they made me check and check back in), and neighborhood itself is meh with not that many great bars or restaurants. read more

Not bad, but not amazing. Pretty far from most major attractions in London. Westfield Mall is close for shopping during the day, but not much going on at night. It does have a ton of bus lines in front of the building, but if you have to take a taxi or uber it gets quite expensive. The hotel is clean and kept up. Staff is friendly. Lobby is quite busy during the day with the restaurant, so noise can be a little issue, but not terrible. Only main issue was the room shower drain was clogged but fixed after two visits and slight flooding. The second is that the breakfast is not complimentary, not sure if that is standard in London though. Overall I really enjoyed the lounge area and the decor of the hotel. I would probably look for hotels closer to central London next time, but that is just due to transportation costs and not the hotel. read more

What a great find! Convenient location (our trip was half work/half holiday) and the room was lovely. Is it the Mandarin? No. But it's well-appointed for a boutique hotel. The staff is excellent and incredibly accommodating - they also doted on our little girl, which delighted us to no end. We had an extended stay and the only negative (minor) is that a little variety in the breakfast menu from day-to-day would have been nice. The rooms are extremely small, it's like the size of a room on the cruise. Besides the size of the room, the room is clean. The breakfast was average, like any other continental breakfast. This was great -- I was working in Holland Park and it's just up the street. The hotel is brilliant and staff awesome. It's really nice inside and the rooms are great and a real real bargain. I left my laptop in my room and the staff couldn't be more brilliant about getting it back to me. The four stars out of five was totally about the neighborhood though when I wandered about in a state of jet lag I found this amazing Arabian restaurant opposite the police station which was great and catered to the local community which could not have been better. We recently stayed 6 days in the Dorsett Shepherd Bush Hotel. The hotel was fine. Nothing over the top. The room was a bit small for my liking but we were out in London being a tourist most of the time. Friday was a bit annoying because the bar area kept playing music really loud until 10:00PM. It would have been nice to be warned prior. The hotel restaurant was very nice. We really enjoyed our meal. read more

It was not the biggest room but was comfortable, well appointed and very very clean. My companion could not sleep without a fan, and they delivered a fan about 2am on request to our room. We were very pleased with our recent stay at Dorsett Shepherds Bush. The location can't be beat, being within very easy walking distance of Shepherds Bush tube/train station and Shepherds Bush Market tube station--if you're taking the Heathrow Express in from the airport, you'll want to use the Market tube station. Since Dorsett is Hong Kong based there's a definite Asian feel to the decor, sparse and elegant. Yes, the rooms are small, but let's face it, you're not really hanging out there, although more drawer storage would have been good. One curiosity was that the electricity wouldn't operate unless a room key was in a slot. I don't know if that was just our room or if that's throughout the hotel, but we just left the extra key in and we were good. Our room had a small fridge and an electric kettle in its coffee/tea station, and with a Sainsburys Local shop a three minute walk away it was easy to stock up on drinks and snacks. We can't comment on the quality of the hotel's restaurants, but it makes no sense to blow fifteen pounds on breakfast when the hotel is literally surrounded by cheaper restaurants--we ate breakfast nearly every day at Liz Cafe for less than half what the hotel wanted. The beds were comfortable, the bathroom was great, things were quiet and the wifi was very reliable. The staff is pleasant and helpful--shout-out to Adam, who dealt graciously with two exhausted, jet-lagged cranky Yanks when our Expedia reservation went AWOL. Between the Tube and buses getting around was a breeze. Best of all, the price is VERY reasonable for what you get. I would definitely stay here again! read more
