I had a yellow algae growth on the walls and floor of my pool. I paid $349.52 in chemicals, etc., in a total of four trips to the store. Not only did the algae not go away, it actually got worse. I am not sure anyone there knows what they are doing. To make matters worse, I scheduled an appointment with them at 4:00 PM on my next to last visit to the store. Not only did the guy not show up (even though I got an email that very morning confirming the time of the appointment), but I never even received a call saying that he was hung up, etc. And this was after I called them that very afternoon (around 5:00 pm) inquiring where their guy was. I was told that the office would check with him and get back to me. They too never called me back. If you care about your money and your time, this is not the place to go. I followed up with a visit to Sweetwater Pools in Catonsville presenting the same problem. The expertise and the help I received there was 180 degrees different. My pool is now starting to get back to normal again, and Connie was terrific. There has to be a reason why every time I go into Sunshine, there never seems to be any other customers present. I will be one more former customer. I have better things to do with my time and money. It is too bad because I really wanted to support a local family business. NOT THIS ONE ANYMORE! Jim F.

We live on the Chesapeake Bay, and if it weren't for Splash Pools, we probably wouldn't have a pool…read moretoday. Prior to finding Splash, we had several pool companies visit our home for estimates, and nearly all of them told us that we wouldn't be able to acquire a permit. Splash, however, was the most accommodating. They said, "Let's try to get the permit, and if it doesn't work out, we'll refund your initial deposit, minus the permit fee." Sure enough, six months later, we had our permit. The process required us to jump through several hoops with the County, but Splash kept us updated every step of the way. I'd also like to highlight one of the owners, Sean Locklear. Sean handled the administrative side of things--contracts, ordering materials, change orders--and I was very impressed with his responsiveness. He answered emails promptly, often after hours or even on weekends. Like any construction project, there were changes and minor issues that came up along the way. For example, we needed to add a small retaining wall around part of our pool. Sean gave us a very fair price for the addition, and in the end, the wall extended further than what we had originally paid for. We also had a minor issue when one of their landscaping employees accidentally hit our underground dog fence with a skid steer--despite being made aware of its placement. Sean immediately took responsibility and covered the cost of the repair without hesitation. The pool itself was installed impressively fast. It was in the ground and filled with water the same day in early March. From there, the remaining work--including the concrete collar, bonding, coping, pavers, electrical work, black aluminum fencing, an additional paver patio under our deck, county inspections, and "pool school"--was completed in about two and a half months. Now that we've spent the entire summer enjoying the pool, we couldn't be happier. Everything has been running smoothly since the handover after pool school. Maintenance has been simple with the combination of a surface robot and an underwater robot that keeps the walls and floor spotless. I handle the water testing myself using a Taylor K2006 test kit and have had no issues keeping the water balanced or algae-free. Overall, we are extremely pleased with our experience. We're especially grateful to Splash Pools for taking the time to see if a permit was possible rather than moving on to an "easier" project. Their dedication and follow-through truly made the difference for us. Update 4/3/26: When we purchased our pool it included a closing and an opening. Splash closed our pool in early November. They just opened my pool in early April. Henry Martinez showed up and took his time walking me through the entire opening and answering my questions. He cleaned the pool, tested my water and added the initial chemicals. I was very impressed with this young man and his pool knowledge. Even though my contract was already paid for Henry did not rush through the opening and was very patient with all my questions showing me each step in case i wanted to do it myself next year. Thank you Henry and to Splash with coming through on getting my pool open on the date I requested.

I've had some personal health issues recently, and they were incredibly accommodating and empathetic throughout the process. Their kindness and professionalism made such a difference, and I'm so grateful for their support. I'd also like to share a short story that really shows the kind of community Bozzuto helps foster. I was having a particularly hard day--arms full, struggling to get the door open and manage my dog, and just trying to hold myself together. I was crying when a young boy, maybe 11 or 12 years old, asked if he could help me. That simple gesture made me cry even more. He offered to carry things or even walk my dog to my apartment. I told him how much I appreciated him, but that I would get it done. He still walked up to the the elevator just to make sure I got in okay and so he could push the button for me. Whoever his parents are--what fantastic people you must be! Moments like that remind me how special this community truly is. Thank you, Luke, and the whole Bozzuto team, for everything you do and for creating a place filled with such compassion and kindness. Highly recommend!

The "neighbors" blasted the stereo again after the police left, and in retaliation, started jumping up and down on their coffee table and other furniture. When I told the girls in the office, they did nothing, but tried to evict me for complaining. Yes they put an eviction notice on MY door. I had to get a lawyer to stop their intentionally ILLEGAL tactics. When I say scum, I mean SCUM. There is more, but suffice to say the mgmt is trash. I know for a documented fact that the positive reviews have been PAID for. DO NOT DO NOT DO NOT MOVE HEAR UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCE WHATSOEVER. Now you see below evidence of crime, broken windows, etc. that is a direct result of the trashy fake mgmt NOT CARING ABOUT ANYTHING but retaliation for complaints, paying for fake 5 star reviews (evidence in posts below), and intentionally letting the complex deteriorate. We did look at the return policy before we purchased the pool cover to make sure we could return it and there was nothing stating we could not return opened items. We didn't take the pool cover out of the box, we only opened one side to see if we liked the material and we didn't. Today on 9/10/24 my fiancé went to take it back & the employee would not allow the return because he said it was opened and didn't know if we tampered with the pool cover. I tried to call today 9/10/24 and they put me on hold for over 10 minutes so I did decide to hang up. Also while in the store on 9/09/24 we had to wait over 20 mins for an employee to come out of the back room to assist us. There were other customers that were waiting as well but they decided to leave because of how long it took. We will NEVER shop there again & if you do good luck.

I was told it would be a couple of weeks to get on the schedule, so I completed all the links they sent and even called on June 9th to confirm everything was received. On June 10th, I received a text from Mike asking a few basic questions about pump flow and the DE filter, but no follow‑up and no scheduling ever occurred. Then nothing for nearly two weeks. When I called back on June 22nd, I was told by Chris (Customer Experience Manager) that he had no recollection of our first call, that he gets 40 calls a day, and that because I didn't keep reaching out, no appointment had been made. I was then told to "try again in July." I waited 12 days under the impression I was already in the queue because that's what I was told. If they had been honest upfront, I could have contacted another company instead of wasting valuable time. Very poor communication and customer handling.
