I decided on Stivers but then a local guy talked me into all of that doing business locally in case I need something stuff and I told Stivers I was set and didn't need anything more from them but the salesperson was nice and said something like "We have to beat the price you've been offered. It's what we do...(mentioned some $1000 'beat the deal' program they have, IDK) ..." So I now own a Stivers vehicle! After a brief discussion he said I needed to speak to another salesman because of the internet ad. I got the second salesman & he told me his name. It was 2 different names. But the second salesman said I was talking to him originally. Found the truck I wanted there. I worked out the details on the price & agreed to come look at it the next day. Before I could get there about half way on a 3 hour trip the salesman called & said another sister dealership had sold it & didn't put it was sold into the computer so i couldn't buy it but he would try to find one just like it. I told him no way would I purchase from them ever again. To me this is the classic "Bait and Switch". They put a very good price on the truck to get you to work with them & at the last minute when you have cleaned out the vehicle, acquired funds & started towards the dealership the call to say "oh that ones sold but we'll find you one to buy". I see straight through their con scheme now. I should have went with my instincts when the same guy gave me two different names& just hung the phone up. I've read about other buyers having this happen but I didn't think it would happen to me. This dealership must be full on low life con men from the top of management & probably the owner also & down to the sales people. Beware of dealers like this ! Do your own verification of vehicles before you get too deep into a deal.

My transmission started slipping and acting up. I took it back. They said everything's fine. We don't see anything wrong with it. I said OK. I took it to a transmission specialist the next week and he said I was 4 1/2 quarts low. I don't know how they are about selling vehicles but I can tell you I have the paperwork to prove that they are not good mechanics save yourself the trouble and don't trust them.
