About five years ago I had a filling the size of Rhode Island fall out of my mouth. It was a temporary filling that should have lasted three years, ended up living rent-free in my mouth for nearly 25 years. I hate dentists. I hate the shots, the gagging, the "hold stills" and that dreaded drill. Alas, borrowed time was over and I needed help. Luckily The P(rincess) has a great dentist who was willing to fix up a five year old going on 50. Dr. Baker has been terrific these last five years. I get my teeth cleaned three times a year with Brittany and actually haven't been in his chair for any serious problems since that first visit. He recently replaced one of my silver fillings and I have to say, it was indeed painless and fun to visit with him and Israel (who is filling in for the talented Barb). There are some nefarious dentists out there that will look in your mouth for dollar signs. Yes, if you look hard enough, you'll always find something to fix. Dr. Baker is completely a stand up professional. He's a straight shooter and will only do the work needed, drilling in your mouth and not your wallet. I really can't say enough about this Doctor and his practice. They've completely cured me of my dentist-anxiety and it's a joy to have the peace of mind that my dental health is up to date. If I could leave 0 stars and still write a review I DEFINITELY WOULD but since I cannot.. Let me start off with how disrespectful Dorsey Baker can get. Me and my family have been going to him for years and we had no issues until today. I was called a "low class, rude, disrespectful woman.. etc" all because I have been trying to get my crown fixed. I have been opened 3 times and have been going back and forth with my oral surgeon and Dr. Baker and the job still can't be done. I understand that everything takes time, especially when it comes to cosmetic aspects like a tooth. However, he has no right to be disrespectful with his patients. As a person who's been involved in the medical field for years and also being a manager at a pcp clinic, that is no way to treat any patient. I'm completely disgusted with his behavior. read more

I have been going to Dr. Baker for nearly 24 years. Dr. Baker has excellent bedside manners. He is patient and displays a pleasant temperament . He is Honest and a down to earth practitioner. After all these years I maintain confidence in his abilities , skills and knowledge. Have no fear and no pain. He's Fantastic. Dr. Baker and his staff are completely qualified and dedicated to their profession. My experience with his staff is also Top Notched; he hires the Best staff possible. Brittany ,one of the hygienists; is the Best Hygienist I ever encountered. She takes pride in her work and is thorough and a perfectionist. As she begins her process of cleaning she ensures that you are always at ease. When she done your teeth and gums feel like they went through a work out, very stimulating... It's like the feeling you get after you leave the gym, your muscles feel great. The front office staff is always helpful, courteous, and accommodating. Shari and Shiela is very accommodating. They ensure that your insurance submissions are completed and accurate before processing. They ensure that you are alerted of your upcoming appointment via text and what I appreciate is on the day of the appointment you receive a friendly reminder text two hours prior to your appointment. This is very helpful for me. Dr. Baker is very conservative, he does not up-sell unnecessary products or services. When you see Dr Baker and you sit in the chair and open your mouth he don't see dollar signs... He sees you as a patient and wants to treat you as such in the best possible manner at the most conservative costs. He never insists that you must obtain any unnecessary treatment. The front desk staff is always smiling and on top of everything. The hygienists are friendly and efficient. My wife went to him and he told her she had cracked her lower & upper moler and needed this & that at a cost of over $2500. He was very condescending and has short mans disease. She just got back from another dentist and the dentist said there is no cracked tooth. I have been going to Dr Dorsey Baker for over 20 years. Great Dentist! He is a Doctor who cares for his patients and does Quality work. I wouldn't go anywhere else. Very Conservative ... When you open your mouth he does not see $$$ signs, He Cares, Treats and No hurt. His Hygienists are also Great... my Hygienist Brittney is complete, thorough with high standards. You can immediately tell she enjoys her work. When she's done with your gums / cleaning you know you had a Good workout - I love that feeling. Look out Plaque LOL. The doctor's dental assistant who I just met during my bridge work, is very knowledgeable and experienced .She works in sync with the Doctor's process and me the patient. You couldn't ask for better coordination. The front office staff is also great, you are provided with regular reminders by email and texts so you don't miss your appointment (one week before & 3 days before) and are also reminded same day / one hour before with a text so you can leave work and don't run late to get into the chair. I took my 2.5 year old in there for his first appointment. The whole staff was awesome. Brittany explained all the equipment in kid terms before using it. And the dentist, Dorsey, took a few minutes before hand before checking him. They obviously were all about experience and making sure my boy was feeling comfortable. So happy! read more

I have been a patient of Dr. Dorsey for over three years after spending years visiting other dental offices. My biggest complaint of most dentist they always seem to want to "up-sell" so when you walk out you have a proposal for thousands of dollars for dental work, much which is never needed. That has not be my experience with Dr. Dorsey. He and his staff are extremely helpful and caring. I appreciate they will only propose work that is actually necessary. read more

I had bad pain one Saturday on a tooth. Dr Baker came in on Saturday to meet me to give me some shots in my mouth to hold me over to I seen the root canal dentist on Monday. plus gave my some pain medication. Baker SCREAMED at me, and literally threatened to stab me in the eye, he said "if you do that again the next one's going in your eye, I don't care that you're wearing goggles." It was not a joke.
