And they were charging about $371 for a 2 surface or $453 for a 3 surface filling which is about 1.5x more then where i ended up going to get my fillings done

I originally chose to go here by doing my due diligence and reading into the business and real life reviews, I really spent quite a bit of time vetting where I would go to change my smile permanently. This practice checked all of the boxes. They are very professional and kind. No pressure, no telling you that you need more than what you're asking for, they let you make your decisions and provide transparency with pricing. They don't send you automated spam texts for years after visiting and they treat people fairly. I'm very happy with Dr. Tenney's level of expertise and service-minded support. The office staff, dental assistants, neat & clean office and RESULTS are what has made their reputation so great. I actually had fun we laughed the entire time they worked on my teeth. And no I didn't have laughing gas. Dr. Schuerman has to be the coolest hippest most caring dentist I have ever met. She took her time, she explained what she was doing, she checked to see how I was doing. She gave me three shots and not one of them hurt. She was very professional. I would recommend her to everyone I know. The people at the front desk are amazing. Very caring and very nice. I love going to Desert Smiles.

The best and most pleasant experience in all of my head-hole years! I returned Aug 2023 for 8 resin composite replacements and fills successfully completed by Dr. LaVant. He, too, was professional, detailed, and gregarious. The entire team here @ Italian Smiles is awesome w/ great spirited and friendly attitudes. When he arrived, he was told, first, that he was scheduled for an exam only. After the exam, he was then told that he needed a "Level 2" cleaning, which required a separate visit, was charged as a periodontic visit (and therefore not covered under his preventive benefits), and would have to have that done at a separate time. Miraculously, they had an open slot that very afternoon. He was told that he was going to be charged for several "required medicines" that were not covered by his (very rich Ameritas plan). They were going to fleece him for over $350, and set him up on a payment plan. Fortunately, he had the good sense to call me before proceeding. As an employee benefit consultant, I work with dental insurance for a living. I spoke to their billing person who said they could not modify it from the hygienist's recommendation. I asked if the hygienist was paid a commission, which they denied. Regardless, it was inappropriate and arguably unethical. My son left without the cleaning and will find a patient-first practice instead of a payment-first practice. Unfortunately, these situations are becoming more common, and Italian Smiles Family and Cosmetic Dentistry appears to be part of the problem.

Dr. Hoaglin reassured me that even when I was under, a woman would be in the room at all times, which is thankfully something I have never had to question, but appreciated that it was something they took into consideration and made a point to say. The removal and recovery process went super smooth and I never had any issues! Once I woke up from the surgery, I was escorted out to the car by an assistant/nurse, along with my designated driver. Dr. Hoaglin even made a point to call me the night after surgery to check in and make sure that I was feeling okay. I seriously cannot recommend a better place than this one! I would also like to highlight the service they offer with wisdom teeth removal, which is the Platelet-rich fibrin (PRF). I truly believe this helped my healing experience tremendously and definitely sped things up. I was never in any pain after surgery, more so just uncomfortable due to jaw stiffness. This was all manageable without pain meds! By day 7 or 8 I started feeling back to my normal self and felt 100% by day 12.

When my crowns were ready to install. During the install not one time did he ask me if they felt ok. I was thinking when he pulled them out, he would sand them down a little. Fast forward to legacy, and wow I found a new spot. My first visit I had some gum disease so had to go back. The service was great! Even though I needed some extra work I wasn't planning on, they helped me every step of the way. They let me know out of pocket before scheduling work. They are so friendly and great. They were very caring about my nerves and the work was good. However about 6-7 months after the crown came out! I was told to come in at no cost to get it back on and I did. However they billed me for the X-rays. Imo the X-rays were not needed as, the crown was only out for about a day and I had no symptoms of infection. THE BIGGEST NEGATIVE ABOUT THIS OFFICE IS MARIA THE RECEPTIONIST! I only went here because she ran my insurance and said I was in network. That was a lie. She severely under quoted the price for the procedure. She has an attitude if you question anything. She will give you a call back, but let it ring once and hangs up. I tried to get in for an emergency root canal on my other tooth. Waited all day to let me know I wouldn't be able to get in with Dr. Core. Quoted 2100$ for a root canal and crown when the last one I got was 1700$, when asked about the price difference she said that's because "she gave me a 500$ discount the first time." Other receptionists were great, but if you get Maria ya better watch ya P's & Q's and don't question her!!!!
