I didn't like the dentist. She was rude and really money oriented. She wanted me to do a root canal. I refused. She asked me 5 times to do a root canal. Going to the dentist is never an easy thing for me, my teeth are insanely sensitive so I avoided the dentist for years. I came here and did the sedation that they offer, I got all of my work done in one sitting! The sedation was the best option for me and Doc did a great job on all of my teeth but most importantly the crown she did was perfect. I came in and we tested the first crown out, she didn't like the way it fitted before using the adhesive and redid the process to fulfill perfection! I recently went in for my cleaning, all of my previous work looked great and no new cavities! I also asked to be numbed up for the cleaning and Doc did it without hesitation or judgement. All of the staff here radiate positive energy! If you're looking for a dentist, I would highly recommend giving them a chance because they will not disappoint you! read more

From my experience, the staff was really nice to both my daughter and I. She was talking about how kind the assistant was in cleaning her teeth and how she was joking around with her. However, the Dentist is a whole other story. When I stepped in from the waiting room to hear about my daughters examination she was really rude to her. My daughter suffers from TMJ (which doesn't allow her jaw to open really wide) she jammed her fingers in her mouth and when my daughter backed up because of the pain she scolded her and said "Don't move! Open your mouth!" I was so caught off guard! I just stood there like an idiot and didn't say anything. I'm usually a really outspoken person so it makes me sad that I didn't tell her that her behavior was inappropriate. When I got to my car I talked to my daughter and she was sad. She said that she hurt her and that she was really rude. It's been three days since we went back and my daughter said that her mouth is sore from the daughter jamming her hand in her mouth. I'm so irritated. Once I looked on yelp and saw all the horrible complaints I was shocked to see that she is still in practice. I'm so happy I'm switching to a different provider. Needless to say, I decided to look elsewhere for her dental services. My recommendation: Stay away! read more

The front desk associate called me to get more information for my insurance that is underneath my husband I did not have his social security number and she refused to let me keep my appointment and told me I could go somewhere else since I didn't want to cooperate. I then told her I do want to cooperate how am I supposed to give her information that I don't have and then I'd be able to give it to her at my appointment time she denied my appointment and said that she rather get this done before I come to my appointment. Terrible customer service and made a stressful situation even more stressful while my two things to be taking care of and I'm dealing with a cranky 2-month-old I told her that but these things and she did not care to help me. read more

Not very good place. Poor mistakes that my new dentist fixed. Save yourself the trouble

********UPDATE********** I have called and called and called, I've gone BACK to their office and spoken with Sonia- the front desk lady- and she told me word for word that she has been "covering up Dr. Brar's bad work" and proceeded to tell me they didn't file the entire claim because they "knew" I wouldn't get any money back........okay so file the whole claim anyway if it's not gonna matter- something FISHY is going on here.) These people are dishonest- I paid this bill in full upfront. They have over $1,000 of my money that when the ENTIRE claim is filed, I will be reimbursed for. They told me they would file my entire claim, they didn't and still haven't. They only filed X-ray and mouth exam when I had a SUBSTANTIAL amount of dental work done. They refused to give me a paper claim for me to submit it myself when I was went back to the office in person. They are now hanging up on me when I call as soon as I say my name. Even though they have a contractual obligation to the insurance company they still refuse to file the claim in its entirety "because Dr. Brar isn't happy about my review". It appears that they are trying to blackmail me to remove my negative review before they submit my claims. This is not your dentist. Please, please avoid seeking services from them. My next steps are to file a complaint with the American Dental Association, the BBB, and the Arizona Dental Association. *********************************************************** I came to Dr. Brar's office the morning after having my front tooth fractured and partially knocked out. I was upset, vulnerable and trusted Dr. Brar to help me. Unfortunately, I was COMPLETELY let down as a patient and as a human being. While her dental work (work she did to remove my tooth and stitch my gums) was good, I was given a faulty Invisalign (to act as my fake temporary tooth). Upon receiving my Invisalign the day after my initial appointment, Dr. Brar proceeds to shove this *UNTRIMMED* Invisalign up into my swollen tender gums. The tray immediately filled with blood as I yelped in pain. She pulled it out, rinsed it off and shoved it RIGHT BACK UP MY GUMS. No regard for my pain. Literally did not care whatsoever. Additionally, I made it know the Invisalign did not fit properly on my back teeth. It wouldn't stay on. I expressed this to Dr. Brar and she said "nothing is wrong, you're just swollen". Okay I'm sorry but it's MY mouth. I KNOW what I am feeling and it was defective. ADDITIONALLY, please see the attached pictures to view how this half-assed, $425 piece of plastic looked in my mouth. The tooth was overfilled with whatever substance they use to act as the fake tooth. It was WAY TOO LONG. She looked me straight in the face and said nothing was wrong with it.... my second time going back to get this addressed, I showed the staff that my piece would not stay on my back teeth. They confirmed next time I came in it should go back to the lab to be remade. Well, my third time going back to have this addressed, I saw Dr. Brar again who simply took the easy way out and grinded off the bottom of the tooth to shorten it. She ground through the plastic exposing whatever makes up the fake tooth. Parts of the hardened residue cracked off in my mouth over the next few days and the edges were left sharp and scratchy. AWESOME patient care and attention to detail right there. I hadn't even had the Invisalign for 30 days when just pulling it out of my mouth, it snapped in half. I was traveling home for the holidays and consequently spent 2 weeks over Christmas with my family humiliated, without a tooth. I did confront Dr. Brar about this entire fiasco (she took zero responsibility for her poor work anlack of patient care) and I have been refunded in full for the price of the Invisalign ($425). You cannot treat people like this. Life is a mirror, whatever you put out, you get back. Put out bad work, get unsatisfied patients. Please trust your money and your mouth to someone else. It costs NOTHING to be a decent human being and to just do what you went to school for x amount of years to do. read more

This has to be the worst Dentist office I have had to experience; I'm so glad they don't take MY insurance. My girlfriend went to have a procedure done. She had two with this office before, and those should have given me a clue as to how they operate. Everything was approved by her insurance, we had received the authorization and it hadn't expired, when the appointment was booked three weeks prior BY THE OFFICE, they agreed that everything was covered and we could proceed with the appointment. I drop her off, and a few hours later she calls me from the office bathroom because the staff wouldn't let her use her phone (She had attempted to call me twice before). My girlfriend explains to me that, the Dentist had woken her from Anesthesia having only partially completed her procedure. She further explains that at some point between the time the procedure started and her being awoken, her benefits magically changed and she was told in order for the procedure to be completed, she would have to pay an additional $500+ right now. Because she had just woken and wasn't really coherent, she asked if I could come up there to help her figure it out before she signed anything. When I arrived, at first NO ONE would talk to me. I waited for 15 minutes before someone would tell me what was going on and even then it wasn't an answer, I was invited back to further wait for the dentist. They explain to me that although the authorization was fine three weeks, ago, now when they run it today she has to pay more money. I try to go through the timeline as to how her benefits can be used up in three weeks when she hadn't seen another dentist, and they consistently tell me that she has fully covered benefits, they just can't finish the procedure because her benefits are used up. Not true! the two items they didn't do, are right there on the authorization. When we call her insurance to file a complaint, they are able to explain that the issue is the Dentist's incompetent billing department that has no idea how to properly file claims. There are instances where things are double-filed, instances where they say she is seeing another Dentist at a sister office when she hasn't, and other items that are incorrect but that show her with more than enough benefits to cover everything. I'm fed up! What doctor starts a procedure and then holds the remainder of it ransom? If there is a billing issue why EVEN START IN THE FIRST PLACE??? Who does that? The Dentist doesn't understand her front office staff is incompetent, I can tell by reading the other complaints on here. At this point, she can't afford to pay. I offer to pay, but now that we've complained they refuse to complete the procedure. Not only that, but the Dentist states she will put in prescriptions for antibiotics (root canals are surgery), the incompetent front office person refuses to say anything, we aren't provided any aftercare instructions, and when we check with the pharmacy they never received a prescription. So that tells me they retaliate complaints with refusal for required basic care. We filed a complaint with her insurance company and will NEVER use them again. read more

If I could give them ZERO stars I would. They are TERRIBLE. the Dr is great. But the nurses and receptionists are horrible. I got my bottom wisdom teeth pulled. They almost over dosed me with local anesthesia. It was a terrible experience. Then they left some of my tooth in! When I called the receptionist give me horrible attitude and told me that I better have a good excuse for not coming earlier even though I had been in four times once a month for pain and they wouldn't even look in my mouth, they kept telling me that everything was normal. Obviously something was wrong! Then she started going towards my mother and myself both with a rude attitude I've never been treated so badly by someone over the phone. Never going there again. I was in to see this dentist a month or so ago after telling the office I was having trouble with my previous dentist. They assured me this would be a positive experience for me. I paid there 89.95 for xrays and to get my teeth cleaned. A dental assistant took my xrays and then a different dental assistant came in and polished my teeth. The Dr. came in for a few minutes to go over a tooth that I was concerned about. I was told the Dr. would do the cleaning herself. When they were telling me I was done I said what about the cleaning and the Dr. said from another room that I didn't need that. When I was checking out the dental assistant/receptionist didn't understand but said they were busy. They do not have a dental hygienist at this office. Polishing your teeth is not cleaning them. I would stay away from this dishonest office. read more

I went in to have a root canal on 2 teeth done. My procedure was preapproved by my insurance company. My insurance company told me it was approved. I was told by their incompetent secretary/receptionists/doesn't know how to file a claim person up front that everything was covered. They put me on gas, start the work, the dentist wakes me up from sedation to tell me if I can't pay her over $500 right now they can't finish the work. Why even start work on someone if you know they don't have enough benefits to complete it? Why do half the work and then tell them If they don't pay you, they won't complete it? How am i supposed to sign documentation when I've just come out of anesthesia and I'm not even coherent? Do not see them! The dentist was rude. They will screw up your insurance - Everytime I've been to see them I've had to verify with my insurance that they are billing correctly (twice they incorrectly billed for anesthesia, and they put me going to a different office I've never been to.) They only want their money, and they don't care how they leave you- after starting my procedure (which they refused to finish because I didn't have over $500 to pay them) they said they would call in antibiotics for me and never did because I complained...they are going to cause an infection. I do not recommend this place at all. They DON'T know what they are doing. read more

My kids used to always protest going to our old dentist and would put up quite a fight on the way. After moving to Dr. Brar, they don't put up as much a fight and sometimes even enjoy going as she is very gentle and kind with them! She always offers a selection of Disney movies for the kids to watch when she is working on their teeth and helps them stay calm and not antsy through the appointment. My only complaint is that while we are in the waiting room, there is not much for the kids to do or watch since we don't have access to the remote. read more

I was a patient with Healthy Teeth Family Dentristry. Both my children were patients as well. My teenage son needed an Implant and I paid Dr Harjot Brar, the Dentist/owner of Healthy Teeth Family Dentristry over $3400.00 for this implant. The implant failed and came out of his mouth. When I brought him back to Dr Brar., she wanted to charge me $113 ($50 for an Xray plus $63 for putting it back in). When I told her office manager that I didn't feel I needed to pay for something that Dr Brar obviously did wrong, that she should correct without charge, I was told to "find another dentist". Horrible just horrible. I went in for a cleaning and to possibly have my two front teeth bonded to make them appear bigger. She didn't explain to me anything about what to expect from my teeth. I saw YouTube videos prior so I knew what I was getting myself into. When she was done, I couldn't imagine the horror. My teeth were significantly more yellow than the rest of my teeth. People would ask me what happened to my teeth. They were crooked and not the same size. One was shorter and wider and one was skinner and longer. I feel so embarrassed when I smile now. Also, I paid $400 for her to ruin my teeth. I went back and asked for a refund but she refused to do anything about it. Also, the tooth she filled is throbbing as I type. I am in so my tooth and nerve pain and it's giving me such horrible migraines. I have never experienced aching teeth or sensitivity. Also, when I was getting my teeth cleaned, they ripped through my gums and they told me, "well next time take care of your teeth and it wouldn't hurt this bad." This place ruined my teeth and I paid $600 for them to do so. What a scam. Don't go there. Avoid at all costs! I'm so mad I don't know what else to do. In fact, I might sue. If I could rate this business as a ZERO I would BUT I had to choose at least a star to write my review! The customer service was horible and the dentist interaction was horible. Went into the office for a tooth pain not knowing for sure where it is coming from and yes there is a lot of work that is needed to be done BUT it was mentioned possibly it is the broke tooth. The pain was obviously somehting that needed attention and once xrays were completed the dentist went over where it appears the pain is coming from which was the broke tooth. But, it feels as though, right when the x-rays were completed and they know all this work is needing to be done and after checking insurance, the OFFICE MANAGER (she is horrible) brings in a paper and quick to mention all the money that we have to come out of pocket with. She didn't make sure she addressed the main problem area and the cost for that alone. She gave EVERYTHING and highlighted the areas that needed attention first! They were not customer serivce oriented at ALL, rude, and it felt like we were being treated different because of our HMO Dental, when we had PPO our out of pocket was even any different but she talked abou the dental as if it was crap insurance so the treatment we recieved was just HORRIBLE and my husband left there feeling extremlly uncomfortable and not wanting them to touch his mouth any further and yes he is still in pain! read more
