I have had the same issue with bills 2 years after the fact. 3 1/2 hours for a cleaning, and then they asked for additional money for a deep cleaning that they didn't do. This place is crazy. Got a bill for services over 3 years ago. I called to question it because the simple math didn't add up. Shows all of the charges and credits indicating they owe us $$. When they thought they put me on hold, I could hear them ask another person in the office how they could make the bill look like we owe them. Shady is an understatement! read more

I would not recommend this office unless you're okay with receiving bills TWO YEARS after you've already switched dental providers. Dr. Ben was friendly enough, but after my son had some complications during a routine procedure, we decided to find a new dentist. Imagine my surprise when, just a few days ago, I received a bill for services that happened two years ago! Not a single notice or statement was sent until now. I went to the office to understand why I was being charged and why it took so long to get a bill (honestly, I'm not even sure the charges are correct). I was told that the insurance had already paid (also two years ago), and this is just what I owe. Debra at the front desk admitted that no statements had been sent but offered no real explanation or apology. It's really frustrating to see an office operate this way. A simple letter or notice with an explanation and an apology for the billing delay would have gone a long way. Debra also mentioned that Dr. Ben didn't know statements hadn't been sent, but now he does?? Even more of a reason that it would have been nice to receive some kind of acknowledgment or apology. Overall, I'm extremely disappointed and would not recommend this office. Dr. Ben needs to reconsider his office staff. Since they feel like it's not a problem to wait two years to ask me for money, I shouldn't feel bad to take two years to pay them. read more

Staff and doctor were polite. I had an emergency and couldn't get in to my regular dentist. That day, Tuesday, my problem was taken care of. Since Tuesday I have had horrible pain. Everything from start to finish was an amazing experience. My husband had been suffering with dental issues his whole life (he's now 84). All he wanted was the ability to eat, smile and talk without pain, discomfort or embarrassment. We had no success in finding a dentist who was willing to take on my husband's complicated dental issues. Dr. Cooperman exuded confidence and positivity and assured us he could help in completely meeting and possibly exceeding our expectations. He definitely exceeded all of our expectations. This place is literally the worst go here for a five minute teeth cleaning they don't really clean your teeth. The front office staff are ridiculously incompetent. Takes phone call after phone call to get through. I had old caps on my front two teeth and needed them replaced. Dr. Ben was amazing, he needed to numb the front of my teeth which is tricky and has been a very painful experience in the past for me. He was so good that I didn't feel anything, no needle poke, no pain not even discomfort. My anxiety went from a 10 to 0. He's also never pushy about any dental work, just lets you know your options. If I could leave zero starts I would! Never have I ever been treated so rudely by anyone ever. Cooperman's front office staff are extremely rude, unprofessional and uncaring. I brought my daughter an established patient in on an emergency basis' already being told by Dr Cooperman that he could see us, we find out we will have to wait for an unknown amount of time. I tell them my kid is in pain, the front office woman replies "all the patients here are in pain." She made it abundantly clear she could have cared less about my child. I asked her why she was being so rude and she then turned it on me and said that I was the issue because I didn't want to wait. I told her I was fine to wait but didn't like her treatment. She point blank denied that she was being rude. At that point I found a highly rated emergency dentist and we left. You'd think that would be it would be it right? NOPE! at the emergency dentist we find out that Ben Cooperman took her tooth all the way down to the blood flow and then put a filling on top of it even though more than 50% of the tooth was gone. Now my child needs not only a crown but also a root canal due to the tooth being down to the blood flow portion. At the end of the day this office traumatized my child on multiple fronts. Long story short. I moved to the area about 5 months ago. Found a dentist close by and had to get a crown made. Well, while waiting two weeks for the crown to arrive, my temporary crown fell off on a Saturday. The dentist I used for the crown did not have an emergency number listed on line or on the recorded message. I looked for a dentist office close by and that was open on a Saturday morning. I wasn't expecting anything great, just wanted it glued back on. Dr. Ben Cooperman's staff got me in. I not only got a great dental assistant to make me a brand new temporary crown, but Dr. Cooperman checked on me and my tooth before and after the process. And they didn't charge me an arm and a leg for this first rate service! The office is immaculate and has up to date equipment. After I get my permanent crown put on at the other dentist's office, I'm switching over to Dental Ben's. read more

I do not write reviews unless my experience far exceeds my expectations, and that's what Dr. Cooperman and his staff at Dental Ben's did. I'll start by saying I have always absolutely loathed dental visits. In my entire life I have never encountered a dentist who wasn't condescending and insensitive, which would make me feel embarrassed about any work I needed done, and in turn would make me just avoid going altogether. Today, I was desperately searching for a provider who could perform a root canal ASAP, as I had ignored my tooth pain for too long and needed something done urgently. After calling a handful of offices in my area, I happened upon Dental Ben's. When I explained my situation, the receptionist said I could come in immediately for an examination. Dr. Cooperman and his staff were amazing from start to finish. Everyone was very friendly and made me feel more comfortable than I have ever been in a dental office. After a thorough, yet efficient and quick examination of my issue- Dr. Cooperman gave me his recommendations for treatment, and his receptionist broke down the cost of the procedure for me. Never once did I feel pressured to pay for additional or unnecessary treatments. At the start of the procedure, I fully expected it to be at the very least a painful experience. All of my past dental experiences have been painful. But I'm not exaggerating when I say I DID NOT HAVE ANY PAIN AT ALL THE ENTIRE TIME. NONE. Even when Dr. Cooperman was administering the local anesthetic, it didn't hurt. He went very slowly and carefully, and made sure to check in with me frequently on how I was doing and how it felt. No dentist I've seen has ever done that before, just poking away at me with no regard to my comfort. During the procedure, Dr. Cooperman cracked jokes, and explained to me what he was doing (in a not gruesome way) and how far we were through the process. Which is also great for me having had "dentist-anxiety" in the past and hating not know what was going on or how long there was left. Dr. Cooperman in addition to having a great bedside manner, is very thorough and knowledgeable. The tooth he was working on is somewhat anatomically abnormal, but he was diligent in x-raying and evaluating it while also being totally confident on how to approach it. He even explained to me some differences between types of tooth decay, in a way what didn't make me feel disgusting. I can tell that he is truly fascinated by his work. I have nothing but great things to say about my experience, the office, the staff, and Dr. Cooperman. Now that I don't hate going to the dentist, I'm looking forward to being a lifelong patient of Dr. Cooperman's, as well as the rest of my family. 10/10 WOULD RECCOMEND read more

Had my first visit here today for a cleaning and some x rays. The staff was very nice and hospitable, offering water or coffee while I waited. Dr. Cooperman was personable and makes you feel at ease. I also noticed some toys in the waiting room along with an Xbox. Its nice that they are close and open a few Saturdays each month. I booked my next cleaning 6 months out and would recommend if looking for a new dentist. read more

His warm and friendly staff made sure that I knew the proper COVID-19 protocols upon coming into the office, as all medical offices now have to implement. While going to the dentist can be a nerve-wracking experience, the atmosphere at Dental Ben's is calm, relaxing and fun. (He plays great music in the office, a detail that shouldn't be ignored!) I first had my teeth cleaned, and then had some questions for Dr. Cooperman during my dental exam. Not only was he pleasant to talk to, but he gave me an honest assessment of some dental procedures that I was previously told I needed. He also talked to me about my dental health and answered some other questions I had. Unlike a lot of doctors who are rushed nowadays, he took the time to listen to my concerns. I waited a few months after my dental work to write this but Dr. Ben and his team are amazing. I had to have quite a lot of work done with him and he made sure to do it at a pace I felt comfortable with both physically and financially. He's the first dentist I've seen in the Valley (and I've seen a handful) that made me feel well informed and empowered me to make my own decisions when it came to my dental work. He listened to my medical history and ensured he really understood the big picture before beginning any work with me. Since it has been a few months since I had the work completed, I can confirm his work is, as I said, amazing, and I would recommend him to anyone in the area!
