We ordered margaritas but the flavoring was so thick you couldn't taste anything else and didn't seem there was much alcohol in it. I got my enchiladas but the meat tasted off so didn't eat it. Dos Agaves was a very welcome surprise on our way out of the national park. It's an unassuming building from the outside. On the inside, it's a clean and nicely decorated restaurant. Our waitress quickly brought us warm tortilla chips and salsa. The salsa was really good. It had substance to it and enough heat to make you keep dipping. The food was very good. Our party of 4 ordered enchiladas, burritos, and a chili relleno. Everyone was pleased with their meal. I would recommend Dos Agaves to friends and would happily stop in if we are ever in the area again. read more

Like it or not, this is the best restaurant in Darrington. It's good Mexican food in an old building. The service is good as you'd expect from a mexican restaurant. It would certainly be nice if they could remodel the building they're in but I can't fault them for that at all. Prices are a little high but that's to be expected out here. read more

After a day full of long hikes you can work out an appetite. This Southern California girl was pleasantly surprised to find this Mexican restaurant. The place is a gem. Really authentic Mexican flavors. Not only were the flavors popping but everything was cooked perfectly without over drying either the rice, or the meats, which were seasoned to perfection. Even the beans taste home made. Not only are the flavors on point and tastes like grandma cook them, but the portions look like you just visited grandma and she herself serve the plates. Really generous servings. The margarita and the chips and salsa were a nice addition while we waited. Bathroom was cleaned which is always a plus. read more

Since there are only a handful of restaurants in the area to try while visiting North Cascade, we weren't expecting much at Dos Agaves Mexican Restaurant. To our great surprise, we were greeted with a friendly waiter, delicious chips with house made salsa, reasonably priced lunch specials, and delicious orders of Chicken Chimichanga and Beef Burrito. Each meal included rice, beans, lettuces, tomatoes, guacamole, and sour cream. The decor was cute and Mexican music gave it a nice ambiance. read more

I went to this restaurant a few months ago and it was amazing. The past few times I've gone here it has smelled so bad in the restaurant like a dirty diaper or rotten food. When I revived my order to go everything was burnt and then rice was extremely dry. I have gone there twice since then thinking maybe it was a fluke but it's has been the same every time. Not sure if I'll go back but I hope they get their stuff together. I really liked it there the service is nice but the food is a no go for us. read more

I really want this place to shine! As a couple other restaurants located at small airports have closed recently, us pilots are always looking for reasons to fly and going to eat someplace is a great reason and am glad that Dos Agaves has opened within easy walking distance from the airport across the HWY. We've been up twice so far and have recommended Dos Agaves to the pilot community as "safe" for getting into a small airplane with afterwords. The food has been top notch!! The service could be better. Both times our orders have not come out as requested as we usually will have something left off, etc. We have just given them grace and eaten anyways. The drinks could be refilled a bit more often, and it is unclear how and where we pay. Although the staff is very friendly, they could be more attentive. We'll be back. read more

My husband and I ate there on our way home from camping memorial weekend over east. We were excited to try it since their are hardly any restaurants in Darrington. Very disappointed. The bartender there had his family and he was back and forth between hanging out with them and making drinks. Their family was extremely loud and disrespectful and the children were screaming and banging on the table. Only one waitress for the entire place. My first margarita had no alcohol in it. Ordered a second one and asked for more alcohol and they did put more in it. We will not be going back there and will not be recommending anyone to stop by. Very unfortunate since their are very few restaurants to choose from in Darrington. read more

We decided to stop at this restaurant after leaving the National Park because of the reviews listed on Yelp. However, I am not sure why this place is rated at a 5 star. I ordered the pollo creama and it tasted like spoiled sour cream so I decided to send it back. The young lady switched out my order and apologized, however I was charged for the previous meal that I DID NOT eat. I was told that I was charged for it because my response was I did not like it. I really wanted to like this place, but unfortunately it was a no bueno. read more

So happy to have Mexican available in town, and Dos Agaves doesn't disappoint. They have made great strides to still serve the community during COVID restrictions and have continued to provide quality Mexican cuisine curbside. Being able to order over the phone and pick up at the restaurant has always been an option that my family has taken advantage of, and they do a wonderful job at carefully packaging all of your meals. i went here for the first time tonight and they got both my orders wrong. i asked for no beans and there was EXTRA not just that my meat was really burnt and the rice was so dry and on my husbands plate he asked for extra meat and got extra cheese instead. there was no flavor on anything except the beans. after spending 50$ i would have expected it to be a lot better. very disappointed. read more

Delicious food and friendly staff. We happened to be passing through Darrington at dinnertime and decided to give this place a try. I'm glad we did. I had taquitos dorados with picadillo- very delicious and came with sour cream, fresh guacamole and REAL cotija cheese! My wife had the tacos al pastor- also delicious. Their salsa is really good- doesn't taste like tomato sauce from a jar and we also ordered a side of pico de gallo, which was really good as well. We took our food to go, but inside was very safe. All staff with masks and gloves, everything was very clean and about every other table was blocked off to provide social distancing. They have a small outside seating area as well. All customers that I saw come in we're wearing masks. I would definitely come again if we are passing through. read more

The food was actually good. We had chicken enchiladas and the chicken was recently cooked, fresh and tasty. The restaurant reeked of foul smells seemingly coming from the restrooms. It was so bad that we elected to sit outside, even though the temperature was above 90 outside. Our server was totally disinterested in his job making us wait for nearly 15 minutes even to bring us glasses of water. I had to go in and remind him we were still there. He served the food but didn't bother, at all, to check up on us. When we finished. I finally had to go inside to ask to pay for the bill. The server who was at the bar motioned me to go over to the cash register and wait. This I did, for another 10 minutes or so before finally another server asked me if I had been helped. We have long considered trying out the Dos Agaves restaurant as we pass through Darrington. Now we finally have. We won't be going back anytime soon. read more

We have been here several times and it has been great every time! Kid friendly, they are so very accommodating! Pollo a la crema, carne asada, tacos el carbon, and vegetarian fajitas were all excellent and we have had them more than once! No complaints! So glad they came to Darrington... update the burrito supreme and black bean soup are amazing! 3 times in a row and we still have no complaints!!! read more

Went in for lunch, the place was very cold inside. No heat? Taco salad consisted of a fried tostada bowl with a fair amount of rather tasteless chicken in the bottom topped with what seemed like an entire head of chopped iceberg lettuce, and a small garnish of chopped tomato and a few shreads of cheese. Really disappointing taco salad, zero flavor, just a bunch of lettuce. 2 stars for decent chips and salsa and friendly service. read more
