Found this hidden gem on a Facebook ad and had to give it a try it's small but big in flavor. Drinks Don Julio shots apps was the super nachos and meals were Chile verde, enchilada de mole and carna asada plate. The shots came out warm with a salted rim and a lime wedge. I've never had a shot this way but damn it hit. The super nachos we ordered with beef it came with sour cream , guacamole and the chips were like butter all the flavors were on point. I also got a chile relleno a la carte, bf got the chicken fajitas. The chile verde was very tender and comforting with good flavor. The chile relleno was okay but not one of the favorites I've had. I was told the chicken fajitas were okay. The driveway is easy to miss so use navigation, come at it from the west so it's an easy right turn for you. We have been going to this restaurant for at least 10 years. Let's start about by saying the food is good and way above the gringo chain places like Azteca. Not gourmet, but nice hole in the wall place. Table salsa is decent, and some of the other sauces are good to add to your tacos. The appetizer chicken soup is homemade and tasty. I have not had everything on the menu. Most of the basic items though and it is good quality. I have had some mediocre meals as well. Service is friendly, even though their English is not a strong point. But you can just always point to items on the menu. I'll give them an A for learning capitalism though..... The problem is the cost point. They (like most restaurants these days) they are gouging badly. And it's not just the cost, it's the proportions. They have definitely reduced the size of the meals....and the plates, to make it look bigger. For example, the tacos especial plate is $23!!! Let that sink in. Tacos....You are getting literally 2 TBS of rice and beans...might be around .30 to .40 cost. Taco shells (off the shelf), maybe another .30. Chicken might be around 4 to 5 oz worth spread across 3 tacos. Without going to deep into the materials cost, I think that $3 worth of ingredients would be generous. $20 for labor and OH? For 3 small tacos? Seriously? While we loved this place for years, we will not be going back. It's hard to justify paying $77 for 2 taco plates, 1 margarita ($12 for 1-2oz of alcohol), tax, and an average tip. I can make equally good food at home for a fraction of the cost. There's so much to love here so we tried a little of everything. It wasn't our intention to try a bit of a lot but everything on the menu is tempting! It would be worth it to make this a regular spot and work your way through the menu. We ordered the chicken nachos and Chile relleno plate. These aren't your regular nachos with grilled chicken pieces. These are beautiful crispy tortilla chips, smothered in beans, coated in cheese, layered with salsa and served next to a tostada bowl of crema and guac. It's a hefty plate and I loved every bite of these. The Chile relleno is a cheese lovers dream and served with super good beans and rice. A meal also comes with a side of soup, salad or beans and all of the choices are not just you're basic side options either. They brought us a bowl of the chicken soup to try and it was heavenly! We decided to try out Casa Guerrero since we were craving a burrito. We were seated quickly, but they started to fill up pretty soon after. The service was quick and friendly. Chips and salsa were brought out as we looked over the menu. There is a lot to choose from on the menu and we ordered the burrito suizo with shredded chicken and an order of nachos as the appetizer. The portions are generous, but I wasn't really a fan of the burrito. It lacked the right ratio of bean and cheese to chicken and was almost soupy on the inside due to the sour cream and wet shredded chicken. I did enjoy the nachos with guacamole and sour cream. I'd go back again to try other items off their menu and one of their highly reviewed margaritas. We didn't have the chance today, but am always a fan. read more

This is Tex-Mex in Washington State. It's not Authentic Mexican so if the reviews slam Casa Guerro for "not authentic Mexican food" please ignore them. :) My wife found Casa Guerro through a friend. She wanted to try the Carne de la Mexicana (steak in tomato sauce). I got the Tamiqueno--popular skirt steak dish. Two margaritas. Dish came with 2 soups--chicken for both of us. Wife: the Carne de la Mexicana was good. The tomato sauce was an "onions, garlic and chili...smokey" like flavor. Very different than the tomato sauce in lomo saltado dishes from Peru. They probably use this sauce on the enchiladas too, which I saw some one complaining about. She liked it. Me: the Tamiquenos was good.. prepared and dished up like traditional Tamiquenos. I prefer my steak without a bunch of unnecessary seasonings so I like the skirt steak. Grilled well. Served with an enchilada, rice, beans, guacamole and sour cream. So Tex-Mex.  The chicken soup they serve as 1st course was light, and made in house. Chips and salsa complimentary. Serving was huge American style. Now I know why they charged $20-$23 a plate. The server was great. The owner was there too. Unfortunately, common courtesy was not his greatest skill. It would have been better if my wife and I did not meet the owner. Kind of killed outlr vibe. Give it a shot if you want to try something different. But don't expect home cook authentic like an abuela would provide. read more

This place had amazing reviews (and a lot of them), so I decided to make the trek out to try it. Maybe I didn't get the right stuff, because it was... mid at best. I was super excited for the Carne Asada Fries (previously lived in San Diego and have major nostalgia for this)... However, the meat was dry/overcooked and nearly flavorless (under-seasoned, not crispy) . The fries themselves were good, but they couldn't carry the dish. There wasn't enough cheese, but the guacamole was good and the pico was good. The kids liked the carne asada and chicken nuggets. My wife didn't like her enchiladas - she said the sauce tasted scorched. Churros were good, but maybe undercooked or just filled with something. Good anyway. There were glimmers of a good meal, but it just didn't hit home for me. Maybe I'll try again, but who knows? read more

Luckily we got a corner table. Some really good options on their menu. They serve Rice, beans, Soup/Salad with most of their items. We ordered Vegetable Fajitas and Pollo Asado. And opted for Soup on the side. I have my reservations about the soup option- never tried it from a Mexican restaurant. They served the soup first. I loved it. Best part was it wasn't thick like most of the places and the flavor was so good. Really loved the Fajita and the Pollo Asado. They served too many tortillas on the side. The flavors were so nice. I tried the Lime Habanero sauce along with it. Must say that one was special. The taste was very authentic. No way they have diluted it to make it American. We ordered the Flan for dessert. The staff are all incredibly nice, but the food was incredibly bland lacking in flavor. Even the Fanta orange was lacking in flavor, almost as if it had been watered down! The chicken / vegetable soup, an odd menu item for a Mexican restaurant, was the one and only exception. The soup had great flavor and is something I would go after when sick. It's not like any other Mexican restaurant in the area, the chef, cooks, staff, and owners really care about their product. Each meal, eat-in or to-go is made with care, made with pride.
