I never expected to find anything good to eat in Fairview, TN, unless my mother made it... Mostly because the choices in a town so small are extremely limited; McDonald's just arrived a few short years ago. La Plaza Mexican Restaurant has been in town a few years and when it replaced the Hardee's there was some excitement; finally, something other than a fast food or pizza chain, and the standard meat and three had arrived. The food and service at Dos Margaritas are exceptional! Definitely check this place out when you find yourself in Fairview. It's the best you will get there and it is really good! read more

Ordered a combo with enchiladas and a taco. The taco came out on top of rice which made the shell soggy...not good. Also, salsa was not as good as most Mexi restaurants. The wait staff are truly wonderful. They are attentive and prompt. They have operated through the pandemic and have used safe practices during that time. Unfortunately for most Mexican restaurants in Middle Tennessee we are more familiar with the Southern California style of Mexican foods and it does NOT drown the plate in the gooey white sauce that they call queso! I have to ask for that to be left off because it goes into nearly every dish that comes from the kitchen. Now with that being said the flavors are missing. It's all bland, even the chips and salsa is bland. My husband enjoys a good margarita with his meal, when he first ordered it blended it's a smoothie mixture that is died the color. yuck! Then the next time he order on the rocks, again bad mix. I have tried a variety of dishes from the menus but they all taste the same, there is no distinction from the enchiladas to the chicken tacos to the chile verde. Bottom line, if you have a large group, family, kids what ever, that needs to be fed and they all love deep fried foods, and gooey white sauce and crunchy chips that have no flavor this is the place! It's relatively cheap and accommodating for the soccer teams that need a place to go after a meet. But, if you want flavor, fresh, disincentive flavors in your dishes this is not it. We haven't found it yet out here in Middle Tennessee. If the chips and salsa were flavorful we would stop in for a beer but I can make better salsa using a jar from the store.... And I can make salsa that has flavor from fresh ingredients. I'm not going to deny that the parking lot isn't full and they say that the patrons who frequent the restaurant can speak volumes to what you can expect, the ppl in there ordering and eating are not the same ethnic group as the restaurant and that should say a lot for its foods being served. I wish they would get a new cook who has taste buds or cares about the menu because there isn't a lot of Mexican food choices out here. We would make it a regular. read more

I just left this place and the tacos were okay. But when my bill came, the tacos had cost more than what I seen on the menu. I asked them why, and was told grilled chicken & shredded chicken are two different things and are not the same price. Then I was told I had the grilled chicken which cost more. I thought they basically were the same thing and never heard that before. The option for grilled chicken or shredded chicken wasn't even on the menu, it only said "chicken". Either way, those different prices should have been ON THE MENU. But because they weren't I had to pay more than what thought I would have to and I didn't like that. read more

Went in for dinner with my son a couple nights ago. We are new to the area and looking to exclusively spend our money locally and on small businesses. I have a disability and had my service dog with me. When we entered, a woman walked up to us and didn't greet us or give any sort of welcome; instead she immediately said, "Is it a service animal?" I said, "Yes, ma'am, she's with me." The woman said nothing more, just turned and walked away to a man and started speaking to him (loudly) in Spanish. Now, little does this woman know, I understand Spanish fluently. So I knew she was calling me a liar and not wanting to serve us with my service dog present. She was saying it's dirty. :( Upon hearing her commentary, I told my son we are leaving because we are clearly not welcome here. The man walked toward us and asked, "Is it a service dog?" I said, "Yes". He said, "I need to see the card." I replied, "I actually don't keep it on me because she's wearing her vest and illegal for you to ask to see further proof." In having service dogs for 15 years now; this is the first place IGNORANT enough to question the validity of my dog. He said, "Well here we don't let you in with a dog without showing the card." My dog was wearing her vest. Did I mention that? My dog is essential for my well-being. Did I mention that?! We left and went to Jefferson's. Jefferson's staff is kind and friendly, warm and welcoming. The food at Jefferson's was fantastic. So thank you, Dos Margarita, for being so ignorant and rude. It forced us to leave and go somewhere worth investing our money. I plan to live here in Fairview for the rest of my life. Dos will never see a cent from me. Their loss. read more

Yucky food, poor service, and sick stomachs. If you've ever had truly good Mexican food, you will be very disappointed. This food was bland, with hardly any seasoning or spices added. If you're from the Southwest, you will wish you'd made some good Mexican food at home on your own. The service was also pretty bad. Our server didn't speak English, so we had a terrible time trying to order and point to things on the menu and speak as much Spanish as we could. In the end, two out of four of our orders were wrong. We finally had to ask for another server to help us. Add to all that, we all felt sick to our stomachs the rest of the afternoon...and my husband has been experiencing Montezuma's Revenge ever since. read more

This place is hidden and you would question walking in because of its location. Once inside you will change your mind about stopping by. The staff is friendly and quick to service its guest. The margaritas are tasty and delicious and go very well with their chips and salsa. Try the spicier version it does have a kick. They have quite a selection and it's delicious. I had the shrimp plate which came with rice and beans. They did provide a good portion of shrimp. I will be returning to try other plates. read more

We went to Dos a few days ago. As always I got the Chile Relleno and a large beef and cheese burrito. They were fantastic! I have never eaten a bad meal at this place. Actually every time we have eaten hereof has been a pleasant experience. Food is always hot where it should be and cold where it shouldn't. Service was not very friendly but the place was empty on a Tuesday afternoon. The salsa is like literal crushed tomatoes with some salt on them. Nothing else. The food was the most bland food I've ever eaten in my life. NO SEASONING AT ALL! I'm not from Fairview and this place had good reviews and I think that's from pure ignorance. Dos Margaritas has one thing going for it: It's newer than the other Mexican restaurant in Fairview. Other than that, it's pretty much the same as most other cookie cutter Mexican restaurants. Almost identical menu offerings, same taste, same salsa and chips, same atmosphere. This is a nice clean place, but that may be more because it's new than anything else. I guess I shouldn't complain much. I mean the staff was nice, the food was what I expected, and I left full. I just wish that Mexican restaurants would put more effort into being unique rather than being just like all of their competitors. It's great for Fairview which has very few restaurants in general, but if I was in Franklin, I'd go to Garcia's. read more

Look, I am rating Dos Margaritas based on some things that might not normally result in a 3 star rating. First, it is walking distance to my friend's house, so we like to walk over and drink some margaritas without worrying about driving. Second, they serve booze which is still sort of a novelty to me when in Fairview. Third, it is way better than the other Mexican place in town. You can get margaritas by the pitcher. Yaaas please. There's even a bar area where you can just hang out and drink said margaritas. Are they going to knock your socks off? Nope...but they will get you buzzed. Menu doesn't appear to have a top shelf selection, but I am sure you can just ask for a Grand Marnier float or something. Food...well....don't expect to be wowed. This isn't going to be the best Mexican food you've eaten...but it will do. The Pollo Loco with the chorizo and cheese is ok. Speaking of, the cheese dip with the chorizo is also pretty good. Get that, ask for hot sauce, spice it up, and put it on everything you order to make it infinitely better. Chips are decent. Ask for the hot salsa if you want some spice. Also, note that this place gets packed out. It is one of the few places in Fairview to go eat so plan accordingly. Everyone in town will be there if you roll up at 7 pm. If this place was in town, I'd probably never go as I can find better Mexican food. But you are in Fairview where options are limited and this place is A-OK for that. read more

When we moved to Fairview we tried all the Mexican restaurants, and Dos Margaritas was our favorite choice, and tasted just like Cancun. My favorite Mexican place in this area. I always order the exact same thing and almost always have the same waiter. Drink always full. Food fast and Hot. I have gotten sick from it one time. My wife and I have gone here every Friday night for the last year. Tonight we walked in and the people in front of us were seated. There were 4 empty tables as soon as you walk in and the man that was serving as hostess told us to just give him one moment and he would seat us. 15 minutes later after walking around looking in kitchen then bar area and just walking back and forth looking at us then just walking back by I walked up to him and explained to him it has been 15 minutes and my wife and I still haven't been seated with all the tables open. He looked at me and said that we were just going to have to wait because the waiters were busy and it would be 10 minutes or more before someone would have come to our table. The place may be new but AWFUL service, I picked up an order to go and they forgot to put something from my order in the bag, I had to go back and then they gave me the wrong thing. I told them what I was supposed to get and they laughed and me and told me I never ordered it. I pointed on the receipt and showed them what I was missing and the manager came over and argued with me and 3 of them stood there speaking in spanish and laughing, it was so rude I just walked out. On another note, food wasn't bad but wasn't anything to talk about or worth the prices they charge. I'd say if you live in Fairview skip BOTH the mexican restaurants and go to Kingston Springs. The food and service are great here. This would rank in my top 10 Mexican restaurants, and I have eaten at a lot of them. They have a wide selection on their menu. About the only complaint is the lack of a seafood selection. They make up for it though with their beef and chicken selections. I would highly recommend this if you're in Fairview. read more

Oh man let me tell you!!!! So the wife and I decide that we are going to go out for some Mexican and living in a small town there are not many options. Much like the rest of Fairview it seems that we found the pot of gold. We ordered a good amount of food my chimichanga was amazing and came with all the fixin's my wife ordered her normal pollo loco and she seemed to love it. We jumped out of our comfort zone and tried a chili relleno that came with a red sauce. It was the most amazing thing that we have ever tried.....Until the chocolate chimichanga. To top it all off all this was just over $25. I could not find a better spread anywhere else for that cost. read more
