The burgers and fries here are hands down the best in Nashville. The cheeseburgers are always juicy and cooked just right. The fries are alway crispy and hot. The only thing I'll say is call to make sure the kitchen is still open because sometimes they close the kitchen early. They have great music and a very laid back vibe. The menu extends well beyond burgers and fries, but these items are so good I have never felt the need to stray. It is a local hangout with a laidback clientele. Their was only one cook, so it's not his fault that it took forever to get our food. They weren't very busy and it's still took an hour to get it to go sandwich. The place smelt like fried foods and on my way home my hair smelled like grease. The food was a little bit overcooked with my bread being blackened. The service was very good so it's not on the employees. I need new ventilation for the grill and a faster way for the chef to cook. read more

Vacationing in the area and tried this little place on a recommendation. There wasn't any live music on the night we visited so if you're coming for live music you might want to check first. They had a nice little patio that would be a great place to listen to music. The burgers were delicious and served on a "grilled" bun. Our party of four each ordered a different burger - all were tasty! The fries were just ordinary crinkle cut but crispy and delicious. The up charge amount for the small amount of onion rings was overpriced but they were tasty just the same. We'll know better next time...skip the onion rings. Our server was very friendly. So I really love the Fillin' Station. The burger is consistently good! It's very flavorful and juicy. I'm not even a big fan of pulled pork, but I loved their sandwich last time! They only had beer and wine before, but now have liquor. It's perfect to go out there on a nice night and have a drink and/or food. And usually good musicians are playing, mostly country or bluegrass. There is a BUT coming... But, every time we've gone service is super slow! Tonight there was a young guy serving the entire place by himself. When I worked in restaurants, typically servers had 4 to 5 tables each, not the whole place! I'll say he was cool as a cucumber about it So it was one server, a bartender and then I'm assuming one or two people cooking in the kitchen. If they could just increase their staff by one or two people, it would help immensely. They are always friendly, but it takes too long to get through a night there. Late in sending my review. We were visiting Kingston for a family Christmas and went to the Fillin Station on the recommendation of yelp and the owner of the house we were renting. Frozen pizza would haVe been more enjoyable Total of 12 of us walked in around 8 on a Thursday evening. Owner seemed rattled. Kitchen was out if fries. Several of us ordered burgers. Asked if we could have them cooked medium. TheY came out charted. Burned. Hard as rocks. The buns weRe burned. My pulled pork was burned. How do you BURN pulled pork. My son asked for no onions on his quesadilla, it was all onion and cheese. We knew it was pointless to complain. Even if this was an off night, the owner should hAve recognized that we all left our food barely eaten. Disappointing start to our family vacation. read more

The owner is that salt and pepper haired man who works behind the bar shuffling food and drinks. Want to know a bigger secret? Then picture this: You will be sitting in their open aired patio enjoying your Yazoo beer from the tap, munching on your BBQ sandwich and having your face blown off with some ripping blues guitar when all of a sudden over the sad wailing of the Strat your ears will pick up the distinct tune of a harmonica. Where is that tune coming from you wonder? From the dark shadows of the bar comes the answer: it is Patrick, the owner. But this isn't your grandpa's swampy harmonica playing. This is the Captain Beefheart/Steven Tyler kinda wailing that only a true professional can create. We love to listen to live music with family and friends at the Fillin Station. During the warmer months, we always sit on the patio and have dinner and beer while we listen. The food is typical pub fare, lots of burgers, sandwiches, fish tacos, etc. The food is cheap, the beer is cold, and the music is always outstanding. We have been several times to listen to 8 Ball Aitken, a singer-songwriter who has multiple number 1 hits in Australia. He now lives here and is such a hoot to watch. He is really talented and original. This place is family friendly; kids are welcome and they can run around and play in the area without bothering anyone. Great local bar and hangout spot. Have been here many times and it is a fantastic meeting place between Dickson & Nashville. When I lived in Bellevue, I would come out here to get away from the locals. The drink selection is small but there is more than just beer which is a plus. The location is always packed very tightly with people and is a bit more comfortable when it is warm out because of the additional outside seating. This is a neat little bar/music venue if you happen to be way out in the Kingston Springs area like I often am. Its located in an old service station in downtown Kingston Springs next to what used to be Macke and Kate's. They have a decent selection of wine and beer but they also happen to have some really good food. So far I've had a hamburger and a chicken quesadilla and both were quite tasty. I have been to this place many times over the years. I am just now getting on Yelp or I would have written a review long before. The ambience is incredible, the place is quaint, not too big but not too small. The decor is as a fillin' station shoud be. If you're an antique license tag collector you will be in heaven ! Live music several nights a week and during the summer months an outside sitting area. Smokers welcome outside but it does not interfere with the inside atmosphere so if you're a non-smoker this is a fine place as well. The cheeseburgers are to die for, the quesadillas are freaking awesome. The owner Patrick, is always on hand and occasionally will play the harmonica from behind the bar with one of the live Acts, and that is always a treat. Kingston doesn't have many restaurants to offer but the ones they have serve some of the best food! We've eaten here twice in a month. The fish tacos are good but the burger is the real deal.
