Went to this restaurant, I waited 15 minutes for someone to come out and take my order, once someone came I ordered my food and told them I'll have it here. I ordered a simple dosa. I sat there and a mother and son were behind me who ordered a vast array of food. I watched as they were served before me and no one checked in on me. I sat there waiting for some reassurance that my food is on its way. I went to the counter after 45 minutes to ask and I said can you please just pack my food because at this point my hunger was finished and I was already done with the place. I ordered water as well but no one came to serve me any water. Hospitality needs work at this place. Everyone ignores you and it seems like the customer is not their priority. My dosa wasn't well cooked either and so I didn't end up finishing. I paid for water, but never received. I left the place with anxiety and sadness. Please do better. read more

There are restaurants are BINO's (Biryani in name only) who offer biryani but serve pulao but at least the pulau ends up being tasty. These guys offer biryani serve pulau which tastes like dirt. Ordering plain rice would be tastier than the biryani these guys offer. And it always tastes like the same dirt. The quality of the food is pathetic to say the least. We have ordered chicken 65 biryani initially and the restaurant poorly packaged it which resulted in food falling down in the entire bag. We ordered the same biryani again and this time the restaurant mixed butter chicken pieces in the biryani and sent it to us to make us think its chicken 65 biryani. I finally decided to try this place and ordered quite a bit of food to try. I bought the twin set dosa, onion dosa, pav bhaji, chana bhatura, Everest momos, amarvathi and mutton biryani. Due to the pandemic the restaurant is currently pick up only and I placed my order through door dash. The for was ready on time so they were very prompt, the staff working all wore masks which was great given they were following safety guidelines. The food itself was pretty good. The dosas aren't the dosas I was used to and they were lacking in a bit of flavor - the accompanying sauces however made up for it as they were great to dip the dosas in. I didn't know most of the sauces so a guide or some sort of direction for a newbie would have been helpful or even on their website. I would give the dosas a 3/5. The biryani was delicious and a 5/5 ...there was a lot and it was extremely flavorful. I got both versions of the mutton biryani that they had as I wanted to see what the difference was ..one was spicier then the other so that was the biggest difference between the two but both were great. The Everest chicken momos were also a 5/5 and were packed with meat and delicious. The pav bhaji I'd give a 4/5 as it was good and filling and the perfect street treat. The chana was standard as compared to most Indian restaurants but I found this restaurant to have one of the best bhatura that I've had ..it was the right thickness, perfectly fried and the crispy bits that bhatura gets sometimes was perfect. read more

Soon as I walked it I was met with the overwhelming smell of fresh Indian food- which I love. The wait is little long which would be excusable if the food was exceptional. My rice was very mushy and the mutton was tough with only the meat near cartilage being tender. The spice and flavor was awesome but the textures were all a miss. (travelling from San Francisco to Palm Springs) I would love it if they served on real plates, and it is more casual than the quality of food deserves. But as South Indian food, they do very well. This review is in no way trying to hate on this business because I order from them probably 2 to 3 times a month with my wife and we will continue to. It's great having a reliable dosa place in Tracy however I put an asterisk next to reliable because their consistency on your order is very low. We ordered plain dosa With tomato chutney and coconut chutney however what we received was a dosa filled with raw tomatoes and some weird peanut chutney. I really wish they could visit some of the dosa places in the Bay Area and understand the proper chutneys that come with a dosa. Also for the second time I ordered it idli and sambar with dinner and the first time it was not delivered and the second time it was refunded without explanation, probably unavailable. The dosa is also inconsistent with their color and thickness. Some dosa are the appropriate golden appetizing color while others are dark brown and you are able to taste the burned flavor. The thickness is also inconsistent because in the same dosa it can be nice and crisp and then thick like a pancake in other parts. I am sure before the month is over we will order from them again because there food has rest flavor. Their sambar is perfect, seasoned very well. The potato masala is delicious, with soft potatoes and peas mixed together. I really hope they read these reviews and improve. Since we loved their biryani's, we tried their appetizers chicken lollipop and mirchi bajji. Downright disappointing. Chicken lollipop had absolutely no taste and it was over fried. We recently moved to Tracy and for a lack of choice, we ended up ordering food from this place 4-5 times already. While their biryani is an average affair, is at-least edible. We did a terrible mistake of ordering Butter Naan, Chilli Chicken and Kadai Paneer the last time around and Oh boy! We got Costco frozen bread for a butter naan(minus butter of-course), uncooked and stale chilli chicken and kadai paneer. That was the final nail in the coffin. Very poor communication today. I called and placed an order for 4 dosas. Lady on the phone tells me it's going to be about 30-40 minutes. I get there about 45 minutes later my order is still not ready. Than I wait a few more minutes for my order to only find out the sambar that comes with dosa is all gone. It's going to take 1-2 hour to make that. Wow. If she could have told me on the phone prior to placing my order that they didn't have any sambar soup that goes with the dosa I would have not even placed the order today. Terrible communication.
