Great buffet with lots of veg options! loved the paneer curry and baby corn appetizer

Worst experience for us. We ordered pepper mushroom, kaju curry, naan, and fried rice. The pepper mushroom was like eating stones, the curry was just okay, and I have never had such a rubbery-textured naan before. We complained to the lady at the front desk, and she was very nice and understanding. She offered us vegetable fried rice, which was okay in taste. Overall, it was a complete waste of our time and money. The only positive thing about our experience was the front desk lady, who was kind and helpful. Very weirdly run business. The persons at the front desk were playing on phone and are inexperienced/untrained since they don't know how to handle guests at all. The ask you to certain place and if you want to sit close to the buffet, they ask you the exact location where you are going to sit(really?? am I going to be invisible to you when I start eating? ) where the chairs don't have visible numbers for you to tell them. They never come to your table and ask how things are( which is very common in a restaurant and we cannot expect that from such people). Next issues with inexperience/unprofessional behavior - They ask you to pick up your plates after you are done(this evidently looks like they hate their customers and want to teach lessons to customers for asking to sit near the buffet?). This is very rude and I have been eating outside for decades and have never seen this in any restaurant. This is just arrogance and evidently shows your disinterest in running a business. read more

DO NOT ORDER TAKEOUT FROM HERE!! I tried ordering food on Sunday at 1045am because it's one of the few indian restaurant that supposedly open before 11am according to yelp. They have automatic phone ordering system which I thought was convenient at first. I was wrong!! It said the order will be ready in 20 minutes. When I got there around 1115am, the receptionist said that they dont make the food for take out until 1130am. They should've stated that somewhere. They were busy making food for buffet but neglected to take care of their take out order. They said 20 minutes and when I went back they told me that they couldn't make my tika chicken because it was going to take a long time. They could've mentioned that in the beginning. They substituted that for tandoori which was fine but added extra 5 minutes. I had to wait more than 1 hour for my order. My plan for father's day was to order take out and head to parents house for lunch. Their delayed in making my food ruined my plan since everyoneis getting hungry already and it takes another 30 minutes to drive to my parents house.. I also have 2 kids with me and they were hungry that I went to Burger King which was 1 minute drive from there to feed them first. I should've stick to my regular place Dhaba which was much better and would've been faster even if they open at 11am. read more

My party and I had the butter chicken masala with rice and garlic naan and it was to die for. We all knew we wanted butter chicken, but their menu would be kind of confusing to people who aren't familiar with names of Indian dishes. The service was decent, we were seated and served fast. We loved the food we ordered (chicken masala dosa, butter chicken and rice, pepper mushroom). I know its basic but we cant handle the heat of Indian food. The masala was not too hot with just the perfect blend of spices, Dosa was crispy.The pepper mushroom tasted like calamari, although it was a little bit oily (they used pure cornstarch to coat the mushrooms).Butter chicken was basic but all dishes were piping hot when served. Place is clean but as other reviewer have mentioned, customer service sucks, they're not rude but they're not nice either, we can tolerate that. This is just absolute worst place to eat. Why ask how you want your food to be made and not make it according. Food tastes very old and stale. Oder it through grub hub. This restaurant want people to bad mouth them. I careless about pricing since I choose to oder and as owner you can set whatever price you want. But make fresh food everyday. Come home and an item was missing from the order. Tried selling back a few times and no one picked up and no call back either. Kadai paneer was not good - too oily and with current leaves, it was not tasty; quantity was ok. Garlic naan was also weird - very thin and no taste. Gobi Manchurian was ok not great. Paneer biryani was also average Service was poor too; they first said they are out of paneer biryani and asked if we were okay with pulavo and when we said no cancel the order; they got us pane biryani in 5 mins!! I had an extremely disappointing experience at this restaurant on Mother's Day. About 40 minutes before arriving, I called and clearly informed them that four of us were coming for the buffet. Since we were traveling with family and were very hungry, I specifically asked them to reserve for four people. The person on the phone even confirmed my name, so there was absolutely no confusion about our reservation or why we were coming. What is frustrating is that nobody mentioned the buffet was already finished or almost empty. Any restaurant should know how much food is left, especially during a busy occasion like Mother's Day. If they had been honest, we would have gone somewhere else instead of wasting our time driving there. When we arrived, the front desk lady casually told us the buffet was done. When I explained that I had called ahead and reserved, instead of apologizing or handling the situation professionally, she mockingly told another staff member, "Seems they reserved," in a sarcastic and dismissive tone. That staff member, who has actually been helpful and polite to us during previous visits, told us we could check the buffet and that they might replace some items. But when we checked, the buffet was completely empty. The worst part was the attitude. There was no apology, no accountability, and no concern for customers, no basic courtesy who came with family on a special day. The front desk lady behaved as if she simply did not care. we called other restaurants before calling them, they were honest and politely told us they were booked or closing (understandable as its mother's day). This restaurant should have been upfront as well. Very poor customer service. Because of that rude and disrespectful behavior, we will never return. read more

We visited for the Saturday lunch buffet as a large group and arrived on time at 11:30 AM, only to find that the buffet setup was still in progress. It took a while before everything was ready, which wasn't the best start. On paper, the buffet menu sounded promising, but having only one dessert was a letdown--especially since I'm always in it for the desserts! Unfortunately, the sole dessert, junnu, had an artificial flavor (likely made from powder, as is common these days), which was a huge disappointment. It almost ruined my nostalgic memories of enjoying real junnu back home. Beyond the food, the overall dining experience wasn't great. One staff member repeatedly took our headcount and hovered around with the card payment machine, asking multiple times if we were ready to pay--throughout the meal. It was distracting and honestly, quite annoying. The place did get busier as the afternoon went on, but based on this visit, I'm not sure I'd be excited to return. read more

A very delicious n delightful experience at Minerva on a sunny Sunday today as we stopped for lunch on our drive up north ! I'll share a detailed breakdown in the next few lines. The service n staff are excellent, the food was delicious.They had a lunch buffet n we gave it a try, menu was mentioned on their website which was good n did help us make a choice as it had items we never tried before. Our first time experience of Duppudo Goat Biryani was the star of the show - flavorful, aromatic, and cooked in ghee n small onions you can get that amazing taste to perfection when chewing, n an another best was Andhra fish curry really good. The starters, especially the chicken 65 n Andhra Chicken fry ( though deep fried n oily , ok for a cheat day :) ) were served hot , mouth-watering and left us craving for more. I'm no chef but have tasted good n authentic food from even most rural parts of India during my travel n can certainly mention this menu is very authentic n takes u back to the Godavari Basin cuisine. The Naan n double ka meeta sweet could get better , I'm going to ignore that as Andhra cuisines are not about those. The menu had good Veg items too , we didn't try much of those so cannot comment. The place is closer to an exit on Central Valley , well-maintained, spacious, not too crowded n perfect for a gathering. The owner n staff surprisingly we happen to know them from Fremont Beemavaram Ruchulu were delighted to see us, super courteous, n we were really happy for their success n spreading their wings across with their great hospitality. In addition to the authenticity with food, they made every guest feel special ( like any place they had one odd guest today :) u know what I'm talking about , but the Staff handled really well). Based on our personal experience would rate 5 stars for the authentic n amazing food n their service. Honestly, the pricing was 17.99$ + taxes which we felt is decent, given it's not a regular Menu, takes alot to prepare such an authentic food n give that experience specially in a state like Cali. Went in for the lunch buffet at 1130. They were still working on it which was fine came back at 1145 and everything was ready, ambiance was great and I was ready to chow down. As for the food. Well it was absolutely amazing. I had a little bit of everything. There was a lot of flavor in each bite. If you like chicken you are going to be in for a treat as they had several chicken dishes. Butter chicken was perfect. Chicken Tikka masala was so flavorful. Best I have had thus far. Tandoori chicken was cooked phenomenally, and would have ate the whole pan to myself. First time having mushroom pepper fry and it was so good. The only issue was as it got busy the service started to stutter. After being sat I really wasn't ever approached again, which was fine seeing as there was a water refill on the table. I wanted a mango lassi while I ate but didn't wanna try and flag the server down. I got one Togo, and it was worth it! All in all best place in Tracy as of now. read more

The food is good but the portions are becoming smaller by the day. Ordered and dined-in over 10 times here. Dragon paneer is very tasty and so is egg biriyani. Tandoori chicken is my kids favorite. Probably one last try and if the portions continue to become smaller, need to look for an alternative. read more

Had lunch with a few friends here. I truly wish I could give them a good review. The Vijayawada Paneer dosa I ordered was good. But the good rating stops with that. Dosa was good. Chutney was ok. Sambar was not a sambar but some tamarind concoction. Tables, floor, the plates, the copper water cup, the entire dining area was unclean. Cockroach in the bathroom, dirty ketchup bottles on the table and the cleaning staff using harsh chemicals and mopping the floor right where we sit and eat, while we were eating. Came home with the scent of cleaning supplies down my throat instead of the smell of the food I paid for. Untrained staff is clueless and the owner is very indifferent to customers who need to share feedback. Very poor service. Very unclean (filthy) atmosphere. We ordered guntur chicken , curry leaves chicken , taka tak chicken , jeera rice , dal tadka and couple of paneer dishes, each dish served it was so yummy and delicious . Very first bite of chicken taka tak and we all together said Woww . Taste - excellent Quantity -excellent , each portion can serve 2-3 people easily Quality - I would rate very good Service - excellent Price - excellent, very pocket friendly . Suggestion - when hostess gave us table , we noticed it was not clean so requested for clean up she just took dry napkin from same table and just wiped , which put me off in starting thank fully I spot another table . Food tastes great. We ordered chicken tikka kabab, gobi manchuria & veg cutlet. All of them tasted really good. I was amazed by the quantity. Looks like they opened couple weeks ago. Service quality should improve. Hopefully they are working on it. I can wait a little longer for food that tastes good rather than getting served quickly with low quality food. Ambience is cool. The food was outstanding. My family ordered samosas, a plain dosa, butter chicken masala with rice, chicken nuggets and mango lassies. We were the only ones dining in on Sunday evening at around 5 pm. We saw 2 people come in to pick up trays of food. The food came out quickly and we liked having a pitcher of water on the table so we didn't have to keep asking for refills. Service was ok but could be improved. Menu was online and we ordered online but didn't like not having food descriptions on the online menu. The place looked modern with the purple lights inside.
