Richard Dosin is the definition of a CON ARTIST. Brought him my car and asked him if you can give me a estimate in how much it'll cost to repair the body work on my car out of pocket. Gave me a quote and agreed for him to work on it . It has been 4 YEARS since I've haven't had my car! I have records of our phone calls and he either avoids them or LIES to me outright that he's working on it . He is a low life two bit thief and the HPD won't do anything about it . (Maybe because his brother is the Chief of police ? ) went to HPD and gave me a lousy PBA sticker. Never go to this guy. My vehicle was towed by Dolsins towing. this man spoke to me in such an unprofessional manner. he demanded I bring him 350 dollars to get my vehicle when in fact my car was not in his possession not even 24 hrs. After talking to him he then said if you come here starting your bullshit with me I will get in my truck and leave then you can come get your car later on. there was a sign at my job stating the fees for towing any vehicles in a public hospital setting. I took him to court to dispute the charges and also, for his lack of unprofessionalism. why? Have a sign for set fees and overcharge customers. you're a scam artist. After doing some damage to my bumper and the parts underneath my car, I called around to get some quotes, which was stressful, as I didn't know if I was being treated fairly or not. I was given Rich's information by a local repair shop to help tow a friend's car in for repairs. When Rich quoted me the price for towing, it was higher than I expected; however, after calling around other places I realized Rich's quote was more than fair. In the midst of all of the chaos, Rich called me back to make sure I was okay. Needless to say, I apologized profusely and asked for his help. He showed up shortly thereafter and saved the day. Sometimes, the work takes longer than originally promised, but my recent work was done overnight by the next day, over the weekend nonetheless. Many months ago, I had a "check engine" light come on in my Mazda CX7. I initially brought it to another mechanic who told me it was nothing to worry about and switched it off. Of course it went back on again as soon as I drove for 5 minutes. I later brought it back to the same mechanic for another look and once again, he couldn't find anything wrong with it. He switched the light off. The light just went back on. I figured it must be fine and the car was still running okay, albeit with the "check engine" light always on. But as long as the car could get me from A to B, I ignored it. However, the vehicle was due for inspection by the end of November. I brought it to S&J Service Center, hoping I would pay the standard $37, get my inspection sticker, and be on my way. They told me there is no way the car would pass with that engine light on. They said they would have to run some tests for $100 to determine the problem. I reluctantly agreed. A few days later, they had a list of everything the car apparently needed, which included over $500 worth of parts and $3000 worth of labor, plus $200 tax. The vehicle is from 2007 and likely doesn't even have the $3700 retail value that they wanted to charge me to fix it. I'm far from an expert on cars, but I am a producer who has worked on two different truck shows. I spent most of 2015 in an auto body garage in Utah producing "Diesel Brothers" for the Discovery Channel, and I knew something felt very off about the amount they were quoting me, as well as the number of hours they claimed they needed to do this work. I'm pretty sure they just figured, "She's a girl. She won't know any better." I paid S&J the $100 I owed them for running the tests and went on my way. That's when I took the vehicle to Rich Dosin. He got to work on my car immediately, identified the three issues with the engine light, resolved two right away, ordered a part for the third, installed it, and had everything finished within 48 hours. He even test drove the vehicle to make sure the light wouldn't come back on, and took it for an inspection, where it passed! All in all, he charged me $490 for everything, including the part, labor and inspection sticker. I am very pleased and will definitely be going back to Rich again for any automotive needs I have in the future. read more

I was referred to Rich by AFC Auto Body for a tow to a dealer to replace lost keys (couldn't locate spare). Rich asked what was wrong with my car. Once he found out that all I needed was to replace lost keys, he put me in touch with someone who would make a house call the same day to get me keys at a similar price to the dealer. Dosin's has been my go to auto body and tow service since before I could even drive. My family has used Dosin's many times for body work on several cars, and called them for towing when our cars have broken down locally. Every time service is on point. I recently took my 1999 Subaru Legacy to Dosin's to hang a door and swap on a new Fender. I had found a door and fender off of a 1997 Legacy GT and Dosin's changed all the parts from my old door panel onto the new door, including Lock and Speaker. I told Dosin's when I wanted the car back by, and they delivered by exactly when I needed it without any runaround or convoluted appointment making like at several of the other more "high-end" boutique shops in the area. Dosin's work quality matches, if not exceeds, these shops anyway. Whether you have a beater or a luxury car, these guys can handle the job. Ritchie Dosin is very easy to deal with and is not a bullshit artist. He does not use high pressure sales tactics or intimidation and gives incredibly fair pricing on the spot without having to haggle or jump through hoops with a complicated quote system. If you are working within a budget these guys will do everything they can to take care of you. Throughout the process Dosin's will call you and keep you updated with the progress of the job, and if you call them they will not give you any attitude or runaround, which I also appreciate. I took the bus to pick up my car and instead of having to walk all the way to the shop from the Bus Stop (quite a distance) Ritchie Dosin came and picked me up, good luck getting most other shops to be so accommodating. Extremely unprofessional and unreliable. 0 stars if I could. No repairs were made on my car brought in over a year ago. Eventually had to buy myself a new car, and asked to pay. My car was never fixed or returned, and the battery died before I got it out. The minimal exterior issues (dents, bumper..) it was brought in for were not addressed due to the shop's neglect to repair. Avoid this place at all costs. Also replaced a car window for me that still does not properly work.
