The pictures and reviews seemed very kid-friendly --and the office did not disappoint. They welcome the kids with a toy dispenser machine and an interactive video game in the waiting room. The nurse who assisted us was super sweet, affirming my son and building his confidence every step of the way. The area where they clean teeth and discuss the treatment plan is just one large room --not a lot of individual privacy, but it feels open and inviting. There's one large TV playing movies, which helped keep my son calm & at ease. All the nurses seemed super nice and friendly, but the actual dentist/Dr. seemed a bit aloof. When he finally appeared to discuss my son's x-ray, he did not introduce himself to me and he barely greeted my son. He was very thorough in explaining the issue/treatment needed, though. Unfortunately, I have to give 3 stars because the setup for treatment is not at all ideal. They ask parents to sign a form saying that the child can be strapped into a papoose blanket (which looks a bit like a straitjacket attached to a flat board) or to have their wrists strapped down to the chair (for the child's safety) AND then they also don't allow parents in the same room as the child while the procedure is being performed. Even though it was explained that I could watch my son from the doorway, behind a glass door, there is NO WAY I would allow my preschooler to be strapped down, surrounded by strangers and undergoing a procedure without my presence. We declined any further service --which was a real shame, since we both appreciated the office and staff. They ought to rethink their policies regarding this.

Dr. Zhang and her entire team truly turned my life around. They work like angels on earth. Dr. Zhang is a dentist with compassion, patience, and genuine care for her patients. She has a calm presence that instantly makes you feel safe. Sometimes she doesn't even have to say much she just understands what you need. That kind of empathy is rare and unforgettable. When I arrived for my appointment, staff told me I could not bring my autistic son with me into the back. I asked several times for clarification, and they confirmed they were refusing to treat me because of my child's disability. This is completely unacceptable and deeply discriminatory. Families who care for loved ones with disabilities deserve compassion, not exclusion. This experience left me feeling humiliated and angry. I've filed formal complaints with dental-Cal, and the California Department of Civil Rights. I hope no other parent of a special-needs child has to go through something like this.

Where do I start!…read more First of all, I was in the most pain I have been in in a long time when it comes to my teeth and I couldn't wait another day. Upon reaching out they were going to be closed but happened to be able to get me in on a day off with clear and concise explanations of all fees. Due to the extreme nature of my situation Dr Sandy and the entire office was able to asses the situation professionally, quickly and referred me to the right people with her name and stamp on it. She was able to get me meds, mouth wash and the products needed to keep me going while I had to have a different procedure to come back for her to fix my crown.
