They have women's shoes in the front, beauty products, bags and accessories, dresses (formal and causal), and home goods along with the girls, boys, and men's departments. It's not a huge store, but they carry a lot. I I like Ross because It's a little bit of everything, and the prices are reasonable. I needed new jeans, so I found 3 pairs that I wanted to try on. They generally are known to have nice jeans/denim for good pricing. My husband found some gym shorts at reasonable prices. They have a fitting room in the back, but a man was there working and said they were closing it down. He directed me to the fitting room upfront. There was only one fitting room open up front (one was closed down), and a line started forming. I waited about 15 minutes for the fitting room, which was inconvenient. I decided to purchase 1 out of the 3 I tried on, and they were $15 which is cheap. The line to check out was fairly long too. One of the workers checking people out said she was taking her break, so it only left one lady at the register. Eventually someone else came to help her out and the line started to move a little faster. We stood in the checkout line about 20 minutes, definitely need to have patience when shopping. This location is connected to other business with shared parking, which can get crowded when busy.

Meaning I am forever hitching up my pants. A-nnoying! A friend told me to check out the jeans at Torrid; and that, by the way, they had a buy 1 get one half off sale on jeans this week. Sold! I was excited as soon as I walked in to the store. The carry lots of things that are definitely my style or that I'd love to incorporate into my wardrobe. While I did feel their prices were a tad high on some things, my initial impression is that their clothes appear to be well made and with nice fabrics. I ultimately purchased 2 pairs of jeans, and found the prices to be reasonable for good jeans, $60-$70. I absolutely love the fit and the material feels sturdy yet soft. We'll see if I'm hitching up my pants at the end of the day and how they hold up after a few washings. Torrid carries sizes 10-30. However, I'm a 10-12, and found it a little hard to find things in my size. There were several tops that I would have purchased if they'd had them in my size. The one gal did say that they don't typically send them as many of those sizes. "Plus" size typically starts at 14 in most stores. I know I did question if they'd have my size when I heard about them. So maybe not as many women in those sizes know about Torrid yet? I know this curvy girl is intrigued! Also, I really LOVE their roomy fitting rooms with plush seats. The whole fitting room area is decorated really posh and swanky. My hubby was pretty comfortable while he waited. Really the topping on the cake for this store was the women working. All 3 were extremely helpful, and I barely had to leave the fitting room once they knew what I was after. They also helped me order items online that hadn't been available in my size and sent me off with some really great coupons. Having a great experience when shopping for clothing is always a great feeling. But awesome coupons are even better!

One lonely cashier had her hands full working the register. So we waited till a couple of ladies were done with their dressing rooms and took over before the door slammed shut. I generally like the merchandise here, but also learned that a lot of the colors here fade extremely in the was (yes, I followed the instructions). Really never put any colors purchased here with anything not of the very same color, unless you're looking to dye a few things. The ladies (now there were 2) were nice enough at the check out. When they asked who helped us, we did let them know that no one could be bothered. We did see a cluster of other employees standing around apparently having a little chat session... it's a rather frustrating scenario.

I sometimes find things here that remind me of the easy-going and elegant pieces of Eileen Fisher - but at a much lower price! J. Jill clothes look clean, tailored and non-fussy in my opinion. The manager, Sydney, spoke to employees in a disrespectful and rude manner right in front of customers. Instead of a welcoming environment, the store felt chaotic and tense. No employee deserves to be talked down to publicly, especially in front of customers. It honestly made the entire experience unpleasant and awkward. Management sets the tone for a business, and unfortunately this location felt like a complete mess because of it. I truly hope corporate looks into the leadership and treatment of employees at this store, because customer service and professionalism were seriously lacking.
