We hired Fun Cloud Events for a kids' birthday party with nearly 20 children. We were shown a video…read morebefore booking that set a clear expectation for the energy and quality of the performance. Unfortunately, what was delivered was a lackluster performance that fell well short of that. Only a few kids showed interest and when kids started losing interest in the bubble activity, the performer made no effort to re-engage them. She stood in one spot the entire time and used barely 20% of the space that Fun Cloud Events themselves had marked out in a photo they sent us prior to the event. For a group that size, we expected a professional entertainer to read the room and adapt. That didn't happen. We'd caution others to ask detailed questions before booking and to clarify exactly what to expect, rather than relying on the promotional video shared during the sales process.

She…read morementioned she normally doesn't do bubble shows but could borrow supplies and handle it, so I assumed she had prior experience. The plan was a 20-30 minute show followed by leaving the bubble supplies for kids to play with. Pam arrived about 30 minutes late, and by the time setup was done, the kids were already excited and waiting. Unfortunately, the bubble show did not work at all. She tried mixing a solution on the spot, but nothing produced bubbles. It left the kids disappointed, and since we were already behind schedule, we had to stop and move on to cake cutting. She did a decent job with the face painting, and she did apologize and proactively offer a $50 discount, which I appreciate. However, the bubble portion should not have been committed to unless she was confident and prepared. First birthday is definitely not a place to experiment leaving the kids eagerly waiting Overall, while the face painting was fine and she handled the feedback politely, the bubble show experience was very disappointing -- especially since it was something we and all the kids were really looking forward to.

It was a very hot day, and all the kids were originally seated facing the sun, before starting his show, he had the parents turn the children around so they wouldn't be staring into the sunlight. That spoke volumes about his experience. Boswick had so many tricks up his sleeve and kept the kids engaged and laughing throughout. The birthday girl (as is perfectly appropriate for her age!) wandered off midway through, but the older kids were totally captivated the entire time. When the balloon-making began, she came right back, a perfect ending to the performance. Even the adults were entertained! Boswick effortlessly switches between engaging 3-year-olds, 7-year-olds, and adults alike with his humor and charm.
