Cheapest drinks at stateline, and the nicest staff. Everytime I come to Tahoe, i always end up stopping here multiple times a night mainly for drinks, but the vibes here are unmatched. Definitely a little more smokey than other casinos but worth a check out!

Second time here in a month and I gotta say if you want better odds less smoke, food at your machine, and super nice staff-this is the place! While everything on the menu wasn't available. I had several good choices and the food is soooo cheap it's insane. Mini corn dogs for less than $4 and lots of old school gaming made it an amazing visit for me. Shout out to Rachelle for explaining how things work and being so welcoming and friendly

Very unique gaming establishment. You have to see the place in person to believe it exists. This was once Bills gambling hall. I always assumed that it was part of Harrahs years back - as in Bill Harrah owning it all. Today its Dotty's. As you walk in there is one step up - be careful - it should be marked better with some yellow tape. Inside it looks like grandmas house. Very cozy and inviting. Not at all institutional... Plastic checkered tablecloths and potted plastic plants - its like grandma put a few slot machines and a bar in her living room. You are either going to love it or hate it - again - its so unique I love it for that. This is a locals casino. This is for people who hate big Walmart and Amazon. Interestingly enough Dotty's is fairly large corporation and I think the business model is to make it look 'mom and pop' when its not. Maybe you just moved here to this city and don't know anybody - this is your new second home. This is going to have a lot of the same crowd all the time. Out the back there are more exits and it goes around to the burger bar's backyard outdoor seating area. Boom!! I could be there as you turn the corner. Thats a cozy backdoor spot nobody knows about... and I think the lure of this place is probably few people know it even exists.

    Excellent service from her!!

Patrick is, without question, the best Casino Host and Player Development Manager we have ever worked with. He consistently goes above and beyond to make us feel valued, appreciated, and genuinely welcomed. Every interaction with him is professional, warm, and personal. Whenever we email to request a reservation, Patrick responds immediately and always asks if there is anything else he can do to make our trip special. His attention to detail, responsiveness, and commitment to guest service are truly exceptional. He has a remarkable ability to make every guest feel like a VIP. Bally's Lake Tahoe is our favorite casino destination, and Patrick is a huge reason why. He is the kind of employee who creates loyal customers and lasting relationships. Quite honestly, we would follow Patrick anywhere because of the outstanding level of service he provides. Bally's, please know what a treasure you have in Patrick. He represents the very best of hospitality, and my husband and I are incredibly grateful for everything he does to make our visits so memorable. Thank you, Patrick, for always making us feel so special!

In this massive property with over 400 rooms, you'll find outdated spaces, worn furniture, dark and dingy hallways, dirty windows, hard old towels, thin bedding, lumpy pillows, and beds on the firm side. Even the plants outside have stopped being watered and left to die. Ice machines are broken on multiple floors, so you end up wandering around to other floors in the hopes of one working. The indoor pool has a bit of a Hefner grotto vibe but is constantly packed with screaming kids. It's as if someone told management just to keep the lights on because nothing else matters. Prices swing wildly: sometimes just over $100, but on busy weekends they shoot past $600. Then they tack on a $27 nightly resort fee and another $20 for self parking. Truly delusional fees for what you get. I've stayed here several times only because the rooms are comped. I would never pay to sleep here. There are plenty of wonderful hotels, and even motels, in the area that don't charge bogus resort & parking fees. The online room photos are heavily filtered and don't match reality once you check in. A few positives: the rooms are spacious at over 400 sq ft, and some have minor upgrades like newer bathrooms. There's a Starbucks near the gaming floor, a spa and a few restaurants. I haven't tried them so no opinions there. Overall, this place desperately needs a facelift and real upgrades. Until then, the resort and parking fees should be eliminated. Bally's owners should know better.

I knew I booked an old tower room so I expected a dark cave with bugs and dust everywhere, leaking water, gross smell. Lol none of that was the casse. You can't help people stomping around above you but luckily they waited until after 8 am. The room was large and clean and the bed was comfy. Windows opened looking across 50 over to Ballys side, but it was quiet. Front desk ladies weren't that friendly but were laughing with each other. My problem is with the pool area. I paid 165$ for a daybed because the website said chairs would be 75$ so why not pay more for a padded bed. Turns out nobody had to pay for chairs. The pool wasn't that busy at 10 am with no music and ambiance was odd so we left our stuff and went to eat breakfast. We came back and still no music. When I inquired about why the music wasn't playing we were told the speakers were broken. On 4th of July... for America's 250th. Around 1 pm I asked again about the music because... I didn't pay this much money to just listen to kids splash around and scream. I was told a band was supposed to come soon. That never happened. Around 2 someone decided to turn up the music on one speaker that seemed to be working. Vibes were better at that point but still pretty bad considering it was only coming from one side of the pool. Drinks were terrible. I asked for a lava flow, a very common pool drink but got some type of guava mango pineapple coconut mixture. If you don't have the ingredients it's ok to just say so. Anyways the biggest disappointment was the amount of money I paid for expectations not delivered. I already paid 400$ for the room.... Knowing nobody had to actually pay for chairs was a slap in the face because we had our choice of chairs when we arrived at 10. I definitely feel like that was fraudulent advertising.

I had never stayed at the lodge before, but several of my friends have and could not recommend it enough. We had a ground floor two-queen bed room. Everything about this hotel speaks luxury. The grounds of the hotel are absolutely breathtaking and we enjoyed sitting in the Adirondack chairs on the beach watching the sunset over Lake Tahoe. I love that they offer fun activities such as board games and s'mores around the fire. They offer morning, yoga classes by the lake as well as lawn games like cornhole. The pool looked wonderful, although we did not partake. This is definitely a spot you would want to come if you were celebrating a wedding or an anniversary. We stayed in a three-bedroom so my son and daughter's family could have their own space and bathrooms while sharing a living room and a kitchen. We were able to cook breakfast while the kids slept in and heat our leftovers from dining out, with the stove, dishwasher and full size refrigerator. We also took advantage of washing the kids swimwear in the washer and dryer in our room so they could rewear for the next day. I stayed in the 3rd bedroom with an adjoining door and had my own sink, microwave and small refrigerator when I wanted to sit on the loveseat and watch a different TV show in my room. There were 8 of us. The pool is so much fun for the kids. There's also a splash pad, and plenty of room with lounge chairs. There's two or three barbecue areas with tables with several barbecues to use. There's two best part is not having to clean it, because staff are there to keep it clean. I enjoyed the crafts we made and cookie decorating in the activity room. There is only one restaurant, Fire + Ice, on the property, but there are so many restaurants and stores right outside the gate from the pool and the lobby. The Gondala is right next to the hotel as well. So convenient to in the evening when there may be music and activities going on. It's close to everything,…read moreincluding Heavenly Village, restaurants, shops, and the gondola, which makes it incredibly convenient and walkable. We typically stay at Edgewood when visiting South Lake Tahoe, but decided to try something different this time. Unfortunately, the stay got off to a rough start. We arrived around noon on Friday and were told our room was ready, even though official check-in is at 4 PM. When we went up, housekeeping was still cleaning and informed us it would be another 30 minutes. Later, the manager called to apologize and explained that we had been given the wrong room number. He asked for permission to have staff move our belongings to the correct room. While the apology was appreciated, it wasn't a great first impression and set the tone for the rest of the stay. There is no room service, despite having an onsite restaurant (Fire + Ice), which was disappointing after a long travel day. I also asked the front desk if they had honey so I could make green tea in our room and was told they didn't. For a Marriott property, that felt surprising and oddly basic. Housekeeping is not provided daily. There was no one to make the bed or tidy up during our stay. While we were told we could call if we needed anything, it still felt like a noticeable downgrade in service for a hotel at this price point. We stayed from Friday to Sunday, and the only complimentary item offered was a single homemade cookie, handed out individually. On Saturday, hot chocolate was available, but it was $5 per cup. Charging for hot water, cocoa powder, and a few marshmallows felt nickel-and-dimey, especially at a resort-style hotel. The biggest frustration, however, was the constant timeshare solicitation. Immediately after checking in, we were approached at the concierge desk and pitched a "promotion." We declined. Later that same day, we were approached again and declined once more. Then on Saturday evening at 7 PM, my personal cell phone rang with caller ID showing Marriott. It was the same person calling yet again to pitch the timeshare. While a gift card was offered, not everyone is interested in $200. Our vacation time is more valuable than sitting through a 90-minute sales presentation. After declining multiple times, the continued follow-up felt unprofessional. A clear "no" should be noted and respected. The room itself was nice. We stayed in a one-bedroom villa with a full kitchen, washer and dryer, living area, and a separate bedroom and bathroom. The layout was functional for families, with two TVs and a sofa bed in the living room. However, the sofa bed was extremely uncomfortable and made sleeping difficult, especially after long days out. There was a simple welcome note in the room, but no other welcome amenity. We weren't expecting much, just a small thoughtful touch. The property does offer an outdoor heated pool and jacuzzi, open from 8 AM to 10 PM, which is a nice amenity for families and for unwinding after a day out. Checkout is at 10 AM, which feels early. Many comparable hotels offer at least an 11 AM checkout. In our case, by Sunday morning we were so eager to leave due to the overall experience that we checked out at 8:00 AM. We genuinely couldn't wait to go. Overall, while the location and room layout are strong, the lack of basic hospitality, repeated sales pressure, limited housekeeping, and early missteps made this stay feel more transactional than relaxing. For the price and the Marriott name, I expected a far more polished experience. We would not choose to stay here again.
