The store has a large selection and is clean and well-kept. Prices are a couple of dollars more than what you'd expect in some cases, but the convenience of stopping in while on a grocery shopping trip is a big selling point for me. Can staff be friendlier? Sometimes. It depends on the day. However, I've never experienced anything like what others have posted and have always received the assistance I need.

I turned around and went a different way to avoid the employee but they kept staring. I finally felt so uncomfortable that I just left the store. I'm guessing they assumed I was underage, because I do look young, but that's what an ID check is for at the register. Though I was wearing a tie dye romper with my hair in a pony tail and jellies, you can't assume age. By the way, I am 40 years old.

Seems to be a fave since it's often out of stock, but whenever I ask for a case for Daddy-O they let me know it's already on order and when it will arrive. Lately some of the hard stuff has been limited with stock, but the owners are always available to let you know the 411 on it. However, you won't walk out of there empty handed with their huge selection. Sign up for their wine club and enjoy case discounts! The Liquor Shed in Lyndhurst. You had your friend with the most mature-sounding voice make the call and we thought the trick to make them think we're definitely of age was to order a bottle of Seagram's Seven - wasn't that something only really old people drank?! (But some of the delivery guys wouldn't 'be cool' when they realized it was a party and no one was actually 21 and take everything back to the store.) Cut to 30 years later and now I find myself hitting here from time to time in route to a party (some things never change) and they're always reliable with a decent selection of beer, ice and a lottery scratch-off (hey - someone has to hit big, right?!). Many of the vegetables seem old--not in top condition. Lettuce is hit or miss. It is not easy. The walkway in front of the store is often littered with cigarette butts. Numerous smokers sit outside the entrance door creating an unhealthy atmosphere for those entering the store. One warning: watch sale prices. I have found many instances where to computers were wrong at checkout and charged regular prices.

Sometimes seasonal produce like organic strawberries and blueberries go quickly so be sure to stock up if you ever see them available in the produce aisle. Prices are also comparable to Trader Joe's and other grocery stores.
