Came here with my husband on a weekend. We needed to have some breakfast before we started our day and he recommend it. The place is quaint but had amble "bar" and booth seating. There were many customers, who seemed to be regulars, that made their way in as we dined in. This location sells, cigarettes, the newspaper, lottery tickets in addition to food - so many people were in and out. The prices were decent for what you get. Thank you for breakfast! read more

This place is a great value and I highly recommend it! They keep it simple and do the brealfast basics at an excellent level and at a fair price. I had the 3eggs, ham, and bacon and it was perfect. What also impressed me was that their iced coffee was great and exceeded my expectations.... The service was great. You can also buy lottery tickets here. I have been coming here for breakfast or lunch for a couple of years. The dishes are classic but the owners Jackie and Mike are very accommodating to customize the order. They are generous and work in harmony. I go for the cheerful mornings or for a needed lunch break. The prices are still very reasonable, in fact, less than comparable restaurants. I love my BLT with light mayonnaise with Jalapeño (special request). Their coffee is good for the third cup. read more

Went here with a few friends after experiencing Medieval Times as out of staters and absolutely love the atmosphere! When we first walked, we were greeted with a smile and they immediately started on making our breakfast. It came out so fresh and quickly! The food is excellent, the service is second to none, and Jackie & Mike, the husband and wife duo who are the proprietors are always friendly and welcoming. I have never had anything that disappoints. It's usually regulars in there, but the place is very welcoming. Excellent coffee, awesome breakfasts, and unbelievably good soups. I have never loved a breakfast place more than this one. It felt like I was in the home of these lovely people. They got to know us in between running around the restauranEvery local was inside, they were helping in the kitchen. It was like we were at a family breakfast. The food and coffee was delicious. My only sadness is that this restaurant isn't located near my home. We received an added bonus when Santa came to visit and was taking pictures with people stopping by. read more

This place just has awesome food especially for the price. I usually get breakfast items and EVERY single time it's sooo good. This place is far from fancy but it's the one of the best values in the area in my humble opinion. The service is friendly and is owned by a family. Come here and you won't regret it when it comes to good food. Support this small business. When I give a 5 star rating you know it will be good because when I review I go several times to make sure it's consistent and it is. It's the best small diner in the area. I've been here once before but totally forgot to write a review. This is a very solid and old school eatery that is husband and wife owned. Parking is street parking only on a fairly busy main road, so parking may or may not be tight. I got the Big Boy Sandwich and a side of home fries. My wife got an omelet and our son got a sausage, egg and cheese. The sandwich was excellent. Very well made and tasty. The only reason I went with 4 stars vs 5 stars is I feel that the sandwich was slightly underwhelming compared to photos that I've seen that depicts the "Big Boy". I kind of felt like I've paid a few extra dollars for 2 slices of potatoes as it was as extravagant as pictures show. Nevertheless, it was extremely good. Next time I with just go with a traditional Taylor Ham, egg and cheese and I think I'd get basically the same sandwich. Home fries originally looked very bland but they were far from that. They were very good and cooked perfectly. Potatoes weren't under cooked like I experience in so many places. Definitely worth trying if you are in the area and looking for a low key, casual and comfy place to grab a bite. Stumbled upon this place when we had an hour to kill waiting for the train back to NYC. Loved it so much - it's the place every neighborhood needs. Super clean and nice staff - can't beat family owned an operated. Simple breakfast and lunch menu. I opted for the cheesesteak and my bf had the chicken cheesesteak - we both loved our food! The ambiance is everything you want in a diner. Lots of local customers, access to the cook and delicious brunch off the griddle. The service was also great - one server one cook that's all that was needed at this small local spot. We all ordered the BLT with hash. Kearny has The Greeks. North Arlington has The Stack. Rutherford has Steve & Andrea's. And Lyndhurst has... Terry's. Every town has that mom and pop breakfast (and lunch) spot that's been there forever - dishing out no-nonsense grub and hot cups of joe, maybe a side of attitude - and all for cheap. Terry's is becoming a bit of a yearly tradition for me... after my annual check-up at my doctor's who is close by - I swing into Terry's to grab a Taylor ham sandwich, home fries and large coffee. Now that I'm getting older I actually appreciate the sandwich being on the slim side (only 3 slices of that delicious thin-cut Taylor ham), the (large portion of) home fries are well cooked and flecked with onions (maybe a bit more seasoning would really elevate them) and the coffee might not win any awards but it's hot and will give you a kick in the pants to get you on your way for the day. The duo behind the counter are focused and working harder than a good chunk of the population out there. (COVID side note: on my latest visit it was a bummer that two customers at the counter were completely mask-less waiting for grub to go, as was one of the two owners/workers.) A (large) meal that'll provide fuel for the rest of the day - all for under $10? Oh yeah. read more

Ordered from here the other day through yelp and the food came earlier than the stated time. Ordered french toast and bacon, and egg sandwich, and iced coffee. Everything was yummy. The bacon was nice and crispy, alot of slices of french toast, and the coffee was perfect. I didn't see bagel sandwich as an option on the menu, which would have been nice, but the sandwich was still good. This place is close by to my house and will most likely now be my go to order-in breakfast grub. read more

My colleague and I came here for quick lunch after a sales call at a nearby client. The town is very quaint and this diner is no different. It's a small set up run by a couple. Guy is the cook and gal serves. Extremely friendly and treated us like locals and even the customers were nice too. We ordered a breakfast plate and a club sandwich plate. The portion were huge and it was DELICIOUS. You don't find these local family run diners around anymore. So glad we came here instead of one of those name brand restaurants. This is the spot we will visit when we are in this part of "Joisey"! read more

Thankfully the Halal Joint has a much saner gameplan - being open and having (enough) inventory. The restaurant is small, bright, clean. The guy behind the counter was friendly. And the food has a lot of pop - the falafel was crispy, crunchy and packed with flavor and those Cajun fries (weird that they only offered seasoned French fries) were mighty delicious as well. Everything being fried isn't the best option for someone in my age-bracket but it sure was tasty. Portion sizes were legit. Pricing was decent. Parking... welp, you can't win 'em all.

I did sample one of the pickles and it was delicious but I was in a little bit of a time crunch. I believe I met the owner of the shop today and he was really kind and helpful. He was able to point out what was made in house and what was ordered for the shore and from where it came from. They also have an online store where you can order some of these products. As of now, there are some items you can't get on the webpage that are only available in the store, I already told my husband I would love to return in the near future.
