Wow oh wow. I'm from Cleveland, Ohio, but I absolutely love the city of Chicago and try to go at least once a summer and one of my favorite things to get is a Chicago dog. This place was so fantastic as far as the Chicago dog and we got an Italian beef sandwich as well as Nana's meatball subs only available on Wednesdays. I thought it was absolutely fantastic food. I'm pretty sure the guy that took our order was the owner because he said that was his Nana in the kitchen making meatballs. The service was outstanding and the price is very reasonable and the quality of food was fantastic. I also like all over the walls. You have the Chicago field with a lot of bears Blackhawks and Cubs memorabilia I will absolutely come back to this place again on my next trip to Florida. read more

A small diner/restaurant. The parking lot is very small. When you walk in you order at the counter and someone will bring your food to you. The place is very spaced out, which is nice. When we went their special was a meatball sub that was a family recipe, so of course we got that with a Chicago hot dog and beef sandwich. All three were really good. The gentleman working the counter was very friendly. If you want something quick definitely give this place a try. read more

I was honestly a little skeptical at first, but as soon as we walked in, I was pleasantly surprised! The place was SO cute, clean, and had such a fun atmosphere. The food was absolutely delicious and definitely something different from your typical spot in the area. The guy working there was awesome, he gave us recommendations and checked in on us throughout our meal. They mentioned they're moving locations, so I'm excited to see the new spot! Best Chicago food not only on the island... but in the Bradenton/Sarasota area period and I'm a picky B****! An absolute gem!!!! True family run Chicago Style eatery with all from scratch made food. The Italian Beef Sandwich, Chili Cheese Dog, and the Chicago Dog are all true representations of the best Chicago has to offer. Super inexpensive and a perfect drop in after a day at the beach. As a Chicagoan I'm pretty picky about Chicago Dogs - gotta be Vienna Beer and have actual sport peppers and nuclear green relish - with mustard and celery salt. (No ketchup!!) Double Deez hit one right over the Sheffield wall here- great onion rings too! They purport to have Italian beef w/au jus... We'll be back to check that out next! So I've been craving Chicago hotdogs since we got onto the island. Finally took the time to find out where they're at turns out I've been driving by it as I go up and down. Island life one road you go by just about everything. Yelp saved me found the Chicago dog for me. came into the store it's about as clean as you can walk right down to the restroom. It's a very basic restaurant the ambience is what she would expect the food is great if you're looking for a fast food type meal. Peggy got a mustard dog and I ordered some fries along with two Chicago dogs. If you're in the neighborhood absolutely stop. You won't regret it if this is the kind of food you like. read more

What great people that work here, the young man at the counter is the best! Great guy explains something on the menu if you don't understand and will help you get the best deal. The food here is incredible I got a hot dog and a burger and the pizza puff the hot dog was the best and 11/10 the burger was good but not great 8/10 and the pizza puff was great 11/10 aswell great food and great people would definitely recommend! read more

There aren't any good Chicago style eateries near where we live, so my wife and I stopped here for a late lunch while visiting AMI. We got our food to go but I waited while it was prepared. The interior is nice with lots of Chicago memorabilia. It was also decorated for Christmas. The waiting area also had activities for kids, if you did have to wait. I got an Italian beef (dipped) with hot peppers. My wife got a Chicago style dog and we split an order of fries. All the food was prepared to order. The Italian beef was the best I've ever had (even better than ones I've had in Chicago). The dip had a nice beefy flavor. The bread was perfectly chewy (I think that they baked it in house). The pepper/giardiniera had just the right kick. It was heavenly! The Chicago dog was exactly what you expect, Vienna beef hot dog, green relish, sport peppers, etc. I can't recommend this place enough and look forward to coming back. read more

I'm Chicago, and consider myself a connoisseur of Italian beef sandwiches. I've tried several since arriving in south Florida, Running the gamut from fair to horrible mostly. Italian beef at this Restaurant was outstanding and huge. They make there own gravy (jus) from nonna's recipe, use authentic bread from a famous Italian bakery, and the sweet peppers were done to perfection. I can't wait to go back and try their authentic Chicago hotdogs. I'm thrilled I found this place. read more

Just came from Double Deez...best cheeseburger I've ever had and it's not close and I've had a lot of cheeseburgers in my life. It's made with fresh hamburger, not frozen and it's huge, they also use a secret spice, I didn't ask what it was but whatever it was set the burger apart from all the others....Great, friendly people too and fast service. read more
