We were heading to Dayton and was scheduled to arrive just before midnight. The staff was extremely helpful at that time and went out of their way to make sure our key cards worked (something about card system not working between midnight and 1 am) and had someone escort us to our room. Key card didn't work as they said ,so they were well prepared to take care of me. As always the doubletree chocolate chip and walnut cookie is a winner at the end of a long travel day! The rooms are dated but clean. No microwave in the rooms, but there is a coffee maker and a fridge. I would come back here if I needed a room near the airport. read more

Easy reservation and check in. Clean room with super comfortable beds. AC worked well. The room was quiet. Of course the warm cookies were a highlight. The nice worker at the front desk gave us quick and easy directions to return our rental car and be picked up to go back to the hotel for the night. This HOTEL has a nice big lobby with multiple sections like the business section that has a whole tv and couch and computers and it's sectioned off as well as the bar area and extra seating areas just for the lobby guests! This room is due for a refresh. Furniture is beat up and the couch is filthy dirty. The bathroom has broken tile, the sink is scratched up, and the shower wall glass could use a good cleaning. There is no microwave. At least there is a restaurant on site and the food is decent. Looks like I'll be switching hotels on my next work trip. This room sure isn't worth the $20 per night upgrade they charged me. I'd hate to see the other rooms. read more

Tyra at the front desk was extremely busy, but did take my call and walk me through where the shuttle pickup area is located. Several flights had been cancelled and many people were trying to get into the hotel. The restaurant staff were all very nice and doing their best while running low on supplies on a Sunday night. I enjoyed my sandwich. Room was clean and I was able to get some sleep before leaving a little after 3 am. Ah man. I needed to rest for a few hours before an early flight out of CVG. I got in at around 10:30 and went to bed pretty much immediately. I woke up at midnight because my entire body was itching. I turned on the lights and there were bed bugs EVERYWHERE!! Robin at the front desk was AMAZING. She got me a new room and comped me for the stay and gave me trash bags to put my stuff in. If it wasn't for her, this would be a one star review. I am truly traumatized and will get zero sleep before a really long day of travel. I would say skip this hotel. read more

Aaron, the manager at this time when I'm writing this review, is a great guy; he went above and beyond for the Asaphs of seraph media and IT team to navigate very tough issues. Aaron came out to us drove 45mins to us in the middle of the night to help rectify issues and setup stage; I could see how he was sweating under the stage, fixing the raisers of the stage. He ensured we were satisfied to the brim.... He'd even come by at times to check on us to ensure things are going well as we desired. Aaron; You're a one of a kind; if all managers at hotels and other establishments could have such nice and went-above-and-beyond qualities, the world would be a better place Aaron should've promoted immediately! The hotel was conveniently located on site, lobby was absolutely beautiful but the rooms left to be desired. They were not up to the typical cleanliness I have grown accustomed to for this hotel chain and the water didn't turn on in the shower. When we called the front desk, they came almost immediately. Checked it out and noticed the handle was broken but could be turned on with some rigging. We chose to stay in the room because we got there late and hate a dawn flight to catch so didn't want to deal with repacking everything. The response time is what really made a difference. read more

Well, wasn't going to do this but the hotel has not even offered a direct apology. Let's start with, I picked a room on the app - checked in early because we would be getting in very late. My key was never delivered mobile because...they gave the room away. I wasn't told this. I arrived around 1am. Went to the desk, waited a painfully long time to be given keys to the room. I give the keys to my family so I could go park far away from the hotel because the up front parking is so poor. My wife calls to tell me there is only one bed and a pullout couch. I go to the front because I picked a room with two beds. I was told... they cannot guarantee room type. Even though I picked the actual room number in the app. No apology offered and I wasn't even told the room only had one bed. The room didn't have linens so I went to ask for them. Very annoyed and pissy employees went to get some for me, they do and I go back to the room to find out they have me dirty sheets. I could keep going but I'm more angry every time I think about this hotel. The room was gross. Pics attached. This is a garbage hotel staffed by employees who couldn't care less about your stay. I complained to Hilton corporate and didn't even get a direct apology from the hotel branch. Look at my profile, it takes a lot for me to write a bad review. Avoid! We booked multiple rooms. There was black mold on the walls and ceilings. At least two of the rooms smelled like a mildew ridden basement. The bedding and rug were damp to the touch. Stayed her for work and play a bunch of times over the years. It's right in the CVG property. It's a 10 minute from the airport to the hotel but it's a bit of a maze with airport construction. They always treat us well. Rooms in the tower are decent. Nothing exceptional but always clean and comfortable. The convention services are great. They always take care of me for meetings and trainings. Food is good and often home made. The on-site restaurant has s good. It's like 3.5 stars. They have a decent wine selection and the food is generally always good. They can accommodate larger groups with advance notice too. Love that. Free parking too if you are staying at the hotel. Downside is really the airport construction, Weird parking and sometimes they are later in the day to get rooms turned over. Rarely an inconvenience to me but an observation. read more

My husband and I stayed for a one night visit prior to getting on an airplane at the Cincinnati airport. The room we had was excellently cleaned and roomy. The dining room provided nice food. The shuttle to the airport was efficient and very handy. read more

This was a most disappointing experience... I will never again willingly use the Doubletree by Hilton brand. And you shouldn't either. Read and heed. The hotel booked our trip and then kept the money without providing paid for service. There was no room maintenance at all unless you go (no phone answering) to the front desk and get it yourself. The Hotel charged $15 per person to provide a breakfast buffet and it was just simply horrible on day one. They did not place any heat under the food so everything was cold and unpalatable. For instance, the oily hashbrowns were simply thawed out and served or warmed up, but we're not at all cooked in any fashion. Day two the added Sterno heat after our coordinator complained. I will pass this on to the health department. And... we were set up in the hallway, not in the nearly empty dining room. My wife comments we were treated like lepers. Also, disturbing was the hotel attempting to gaslight us into believing room maintenance (garbage, coffee, towels, sheet change if need.) are not included in the daily rate. They placed a sign on the mirror that says they provide "complimentarily"room services on request. And that you can call the desk to arrange it guess what .... they don't answer the phone when you call the desk. So good luck with that. We paid for that service and the hotel withheld what we paid for....calling it complimentary. That is stealing. So essentially they're profiteering on your second and third days because they would have to make the room up if another guest were to rent it. Essentially this location tailors to canceled flying passengers, and one night stands. By the way, prepare for sticker shock if you order off their menu in the dining room. read more

The best description of this hotel is convenient. And the staff are quite friendly. As for the property, it needs help. Walking from the front desk through the hallway to the elevators, the place seemed damp. This dampness continued when I go off on the 4th floor, even into my room. We all know that musty scent. I had a crew meal, leftover from my flight into CVG, planning on heating it up in my room. No microwave. I called the front desk and was told all microwaves were removed due to covid. They did have a microwave in the gift shop, so I went downstairs to heat up dinner. I did get a good night's sleep, yet waking up to that dampness. Overall, this hotel has great potential, just needs an investment for improvements and updates. Oh, I did get the standard warm cookie at check in, which was nice. read more

5 Star staff, 4 star facility, (needs some updating but still good) and 5 star convenient location. My one night visit started with shuttle from airport, ( a stones throw away), with a great shuttle driver, Troy. GRhen met a good front desk person and server, (Mercedes), in the restaurant. Restaurant had basic American fare and I had a good steak dinner and wine. There is a decent route around the hotel to have a walk. Room could use a refresh but it was clean and good bed. In the morning I took a shuttle back to airport to get a rental car so loved the convenience. I can give this DoubleTree a good recommendation. read more

I was planning to pick up a rental car and drive to this hotel from the airport late at night for one overnight stay. Their cheapest room is close to $200/night and parking is an additional $12. I was told that I couldn't be assured of a parking spot unless I was staying 7 nights! As a single woman arriving with a suitcase and a backpack around midnight I told the apologetic man at the front desk that without assurance of a parking spot in their lot I would never stay there and that I would tell others of this lousy arrangement. Absolutely do not stay here. I don't understand why this hotel is part of the Hilton brand! They honestly shouldn't be. We stayed here for our wedding and by far it was the worst. The rooms are filthy, moldy, visible stains, uncomfortable beds, and they don't clean. By that I mean the rooms are not cleaned daily, and it was observed that staff would sleep in the rooms that did not have guests and my guess at the state of our room, not clean that either. The staff was rude, and you could hardly get ahold of a receptionist. The restaurant was terrible, and staff was rude. I have been attempting to reach out to the hotel manager for now a month, and they will not return my calls or emails. Save yourself the headache, and stay at another hotel. read more

Fantastic staff! Stayed here overnight for an early flight from CVG. Room was very nice with classic airplane pictures on the walls and all around the facility. As a pilot, I enjoyed seeing them Bed was extremely comfortable and we slept like a rock. We ate in the restaurant and the food was good but it was the service that made it a nice experience. Our server was only on her second day working and went way out of the way to be helpful. When my wife enquirer about how spicy to tortilla soup was, she went to the kitchens to get a small bowl for a sample. We were comped free parking as a Gold HHonors member for the week which saved a bundle and eliminated a hassle. This will be our choice is we have another early flight out of CVG. read more

I stay here a few times every year and I always have a decent room, always clean and nice beds and pillows. Service is kind and professional and everyone is happy to talk with you if your in the mood. Its close to the airport and easy to get in and out of. It feels a little dated, but it is well maintained. I avoid the Bistro if possible, your money will go farther and you'll enjoy the meal more elsewhere if you don't mind driving 10-20 minutes. So I find myself eating there when I'm tied. I guess when your captive and tied you'll allow for the over charging. But if you were staying at a Hilton Garden Inn instead of this Hilton you would get better food at half the price for the meal. Still I would not say stay away, it's trying to be upscale but it's not quite there. Still the effort is appreciated and since I like the stay and the price is right I will continue to stay here when I'm working in the area and want to avoid the city. read more

Because it is chock full of nasty - from the musty smell that hits you as soon as you open your room door or the myriad of stains on the bedspreads: if you are going to use WHITE - replace it!! No one wants to see or sleep in a bed filled with body fluids of previous guests. Yes - that nasty. And the best part? These features make it a $200/night hotel. Instead of wasting your money - you would get a better room at Motel 6 for about $60. There's some places that you'll only stay once in your life - and this is one of those places. It was so bad that my colleague complained to Hilton directly. I actually requested another room - and it was in the same condition as the first room I was in! Although I didnt see the same extreme grime that others mention, the place is very old and needs a serious facelift. Positives are Jim @ front desk who fixed an incorrect rate when I booked. Also I had eggs Benedict for breakfast that was awesome. Fortunately, I'm a HH diamond member and only had to pay a small upcharge but I dont think ANY eggs Benedict is worth the $18 price tag. read more

The staff here is great. Always friendly and welcoming. BUT - Hilton recently changed from free breakfast to a "$12 credit" for Honors members with Gold or higher status. That wouldn't be terrible except they also hiked the prices of every single item on the breakfast menu up at least $10! So Hilton is actually giving you nothing. An egg breakfast that weeks ago was $12 is now $22! A Buffet that used to be $12-$14 is now $23.95. Subtract the "free $12" and you're paying the full price. Shame on you, Hilton! Your customers are not stupid. As a diamond member, I expected better. Again, not this hotel's fault because the people here are amazing and it is making their jobs tough too. This change is incredibly frustrating and will send me over to Marriott next time. read more

I'm super disappointed in this particular branch of the Hilton chain. I came on a weekend when the Kentucky Derby and the Cincinnati Reds were playing and there was a marathon admittedly. I was there overnight for the Reds game. First, the staff seemed annoyed more than anything. I know it's difficult with all of the events going on at once but it's what you do, events. I would not describe this hotel as the cleanest I've stayed in. It wasn't dirty but I didn't have a lot of faith in the upkeep. There were not a lot of food options - even delivery was sparse. Nothing within walking distance. They do have room service. I opted to take an Uber to the game early. I will most likely not return to this location although I am generally a fan of Hilton hotels - this one was not great. read more

This place is absolutely disgusting, staffed by incompetents who (at least during my visit) put their guests safety at risk in several ways. Don't let the new "posted by owner" photos confuse you. Upon check in (when I was finally able to get to my room, with absolutely no useful assistance from any of the staff), the room I was given had over a dozen visible stains, hairs, and crusted smears of body fluids, both in the bathroom (on walls, in the shower, and on--again, unused by me--towels and linens. Location (not the hotel, but access / roadways inside the airport complex) was under construction during my visit and signage was non-existent or located as to be hidden behind cars or equipment. It took at least 30 minutes to find a way into the place, which wound up being across a parking lot intended for airport employees (despite no visible signage to this effect *this will matter later) but used as a cell lot for pickups all night. It was an unlocked, unstaffed door down a hallway with no useful signage several minutes walk to the restaurant or lobby area. The lobby entrance was not accessible during my visit, nor was there signage or assistance offered to get from the parking area to the check-in area (or rooms), every visible entry was either locked / inaccessible, or involved stairs and significant distances. I finally got checked in and was able to schlepp my necessities in without being offered any assistance despite asking several times about the easiest way to bring things in and access my room because I had already had major difficulties finding a way in to the hotel, since the lobby entrance was apparently closed. I was given a parking pass, but it was not explained that hotel guests were limited to two rows of spots even further from the hotel (and on the opposite side to where I'd made clear I was parked). It was past dark, yet I was repeatedly given incoherent directions to my room by staff standing at the front desk literally doing nothing while I wandered the public spaces very visibly distressed and in need of help. So, finally, I wrestle my crap up a stairway and finally find my room, only to open the door to a completely dark room with the shade pulled below the sash and light switches not in standard locations that could be reached from outside the door easily. I had to step fully into the pitch-black room in order to find a light switch, despite the fact the the room overlooks airport rental car properties lit up like daytime all night. The room had a random / unexplained door inside that had no lock to bolt from my side. Everything was dusty, musty, and generally unclean. The bathroom was absolutely disgusting (see pictures), the carpet stunk, the fire sprinkler was located immediately above the bed, the temperature control was both noisy (ticking and wheezing all night) and completely ineffective (in March, the room was unbearably hot), the television regularly froze. Gross and dated...incompetent staff...terrible location. I was supposed to stay a week - I checked out the next morning and booked at another area hotel that was far more clean, safe, and comfortable. Despite making my complaints very clear, upon the date of my original / intended checkout, I got a bill for the length of my original stay that took weeks to sort out. This is literally one of the worst, if not the WORST Hilton location in the country. read more

Ok, first off let say that You should never judge a book by its cover. Definitely True for this Hilton property. The lobby seems very nice and welcoming. Even has a very nice cinnamon smell when you walk in. Then you get to your room...... This is easily 1st place in the nastiest Hilton property I have ever stayed at. Stained Couches,wires hanging out of the bottom of the AC unit and a TV from the year 2001. Actually not sure of the YR but there are no HDMI cable plug inns at all. Not to mention the TV is hanging by one bolt screw that looks like it's just begging to give way. My advice is don't come back here until you see at least 4 stars as an average rating. read more
