This is a fairly routine hotel near the Cincinnati airport, but one employee turned an ordinary stay into an exceptional experience. The woman at the front desk knew my wife was sick and went out of her way to help us. Even though our checkout time had passed and another guest had requested the whirlpool room we were in, she rearranged things and moved us to another room for the next two days so my wife could rest comfortably. Her kindness and flexibility reminded me what great customer service actually looks like. Outstanding job. read more

Cockroaches. We stayed for 3 nights and on our last night I squished a cockroach on the night stand next to the bed. I found the hotel to be run-down and dirty. Requested an extra blanket for the bed and was told that they only have enough bedding for each room with none extra to spare. We were eventually refunded only 1 night stay (out of the 3 nights). We almost always have good luck at Hampton Inns. When we are on the road it's our usual stop. This was a particularly nice experience. The set up is not the usual straight long hallway but rather a series of t's off of the main hallway. This may be why, though full, it was remarkably quiet. Very much appreciated after a long rainy drive. The breakfast was quite good as well. A very friendly and attentive staff rounded out the experience. read more

We stayed here from Friday to Sunday to celebrate Andrew's birthday. We arrived about 7:30pm, but I checked in on the app. I did have to go to the front desk for ID purposes due to my mom booking the room for us. The hotel was nice, the common areas were clean, and the staff was friendly. We rented the jacuzzi room and it was GORGEOUS! The first impression of the room was it smelled wonderful! It smelled as if someone had been burning incense. The next impression was it was HOT. Someone had set our heat to 77 and we're not the freeze-baby type. It took all night for our room to cool off, even set at 66, and we couldn't sleep because of it. We were both up at 5am and at 6am decided to just get up and get some breakfast. We were pleasantly surprised to see a full, hot breakfast. We've stayed in quite a few hotels the last few months and none have had breakfast. We tried a little bit of everything. Unfortunately, we still had heating issues Saturday night as well. It seemed fine during the day, but we could not get comfortable at night. I also gave 4 stars because I had some problems with my keyless entry app at the back door. I assumed it didn't work until I saw another guest was able to use hers. read more

Accused us of something we didn't do. We were stopped at the lobby and was shown a video. This video did not show the room number, didn't recognize anything in the room, and we never got contacted prior to my card being charged. Because of this, we will not use Hampton Inns ever again. We travel For work about 30 weekends a year. If this is how they treated me, we have stopped using Hampton inns. read more

Look I am diamond and stay in a lot of Hampton inns or Hilton properties. So I see a lot of hotels and have a good perspective. The only reason this one gets 2 stars vs 1 is the breakfast. The breakfast staff were great and selection was good. Hotel for what you get... very run down should be 99 a night. Disappointed in this location. read more

The beds were very soft comfy, the rooms were clean, but could still use a little TLC. If you don't like really soft pillows, please bring your own. Once we arrived the front desk weren't that inviting but we friendly. I had to speak and then wait to be acknowledged for a moment. We never received our virtual key though it was requested well in advance. We requested late check out but received a response the day after we checked out. The parking was very convenient. The overall experience was okay. I'm still waiting monitoring my account to ensure I receive my $50 hold fee back, and there was a charge for $4 that I will be looking into. Overall this hotel stay was terrible to say the least. (October29 7-8pm) It started out great when i checked in but just went downhill, fast, from there. I started in room 137 with loud people stomping above me so i requested to change rooms. Sam and paili or however you spell her name changed me to room 309. I did a room inspection and there was hair all over both beds and pillow cases. So, i go back downstairs and request new sheets and paili tells me she cant do anything since i already changed rooms once. So after going back and forth they finally agreed to change my room again. New room, 337, i take a video before i even walked in to do my inspection pf the room and there is even more hair in the 3rd room ive moved too. So, i go back downstairs and demand new sheets because they wouldn't offer any. I even showed them the video i took of the hair filled room and they still didn't believe me, sam said, "i find that extremely hard to believe," even after he watched the video of HAIR IN THE BED. How about instead of new sheets they threaten to call the police instead because im now mad that they are refusing to do their job and give me new sheets even after showing them VIDEO PROOF of HAIR IN THE BED. Be careful when staying here and make sure to do thorough inspections of your beds or you too will find HAIR IN YOUR BED. And the best part is, THEY MADE ME CHANGE MY OWN SHEETS read more

Well, here is another unfortunate hotel stay..... In full disclosure I have only stay here the one time, but sometimes we never make it back after these experiences..... The main issue I have is the problems with the shower. Please look at my photos and video. I turned the water on to let the shower warm up. I heard a big thunk and thought something fell off the wall. It was the faucet from the shower. It literally shot off into the tub. It appears they tried to fix it with some caulking, but the heat from the hot water would not allow it to stay in place. Needless to say, my shower was interesting. I complained politely at check out. Did not feel like elevating the complaint and nothing was really offered in a form of compensation. The beds however were great. I slept like a rock, very comfortable pillows too. Breakfast was edible. That's about all I can say. Not sure what they were supposed to have for hot food, as it was empty and no one ever came back to refill. Probably will not stay at this hotel again...... read more

Complete failure to adhere to Hilton Covid proticals The night employee (2240/11FEB) along with several others were NOT wearing masks. Hotel does not participate in the Hilton CleanStay program, no door seals, no evidence of other than standard pre covid type cleaning. Our room was cleaned after one night against CleanStay policy. My wife needed strong wifi for an online college class she was teaching and she had to cancel class after numerous freezups, dropped signals etc. This was with the premium wifi as a Hilton elite member. Another more minor issue was that there was no parking available anywhere on property on the 1st night and I was directed to leave my vehicle in a fire lane. Not one of the better Hamptons I have been to as the shuttle is a chore to coordinate and the property is noisy and directly under the glide path for CVG. The fitness center equipment was old and in need of maintenance while the breakfast area was cramped and did not have enough space for the number of guests present. read more

Decent hotel. Not one employee (out of the 7 I saw) was wearing a mask. It is currently mandatory in Kentucky. When I asked the desk clerk why no one was complying, the manager told me that they were staying six feet away from guests. This was not true at all & even if they were, they are still supposed to have a mask on. If I get the virus because of this hotel's lack of following state rules, I will be extremely livid. read more

Stayed here to see Creation Museum and Noah's Ark. Hotel was clean. Staff was mm...ok. breakfast is simple (waffles, cereal, sausages, eggs, muffins, bagels, fruit). Super close to airport. Did hear one plane fly by, but overall pretty quiet. Great for family. read more

We got snowed in and wanted to stay close the the airport. What a beautiful place, and excellent location (literally seconds from the airport rental car return). Beautiful decor, looks to be a newer hotel and very well taken care of. Lobby and breakfast were great. Roomy seating and lots of food options. Desk staff were friendly and accommodating despite the nasty weather. Only two rooms were left (both had jacuzzis) so I didn't complain! Huge room with king bed and shower bathroom. Nice work area and big TV. There is no restaurant inside, of course, but the staff recommended the next door Marriott for dinner (which was very very good). Great, clean, affordable stay! read more

Very comfortable hotel. We stayed with our two young children, ages 3 & 5. They loved the pool (and I loved the hot tub). The TV in our room had an excellent selection of channels, and we enjoyed a kids movie (Madagascar) while eating our pizza delivery (from 3 miles away). Perhaps most importantly, our room was very clean. The tub was spotless, and I was comfortable giving my kids a bath in the tub while I kneeled on the bathroom floor next to the tub. Breakfast was included and there were lots of nice choices: eggs, potatoes, yogurt, oatmeal, cereals, hard boiled eggs, muffins, and bagels. The hotel was clean and the room I was in was well maintained. I would have given 4 stars except the morning I was leaving I was totally caught off guard by the noise. I soon found out that virtually all of the cleaning staff had their young children with them and those kids where running up and down the floors yelling. This Hampton Inn as well as all Hilton properties have embarked on a bait and switch scam much like Marriott regarding their "free" wifi. The "free" wifi is so slow and/or intentionally throttled as to be useless attempting to make you shell out 5 bucks per night for "premium" wifi. This is corporate behavior at it's most shameless and likely illegal under consumer protection statutes regarding bait and switch advertising. For my part, I will cancel my hhHonors Visa card, resign from the hhHonors program and use other brands for travel lodging. Now do your part. I would probably have the chance to give this hotel a higher rating if I were able to stay there. We tried to check in after our reservations were not met at the country inn and suites next door. I was assured by the front desk that he had plenty of rooms available so I started gathering my family from the car. When I went back in to give the front desk clerk my card to get a room he informed me that the system was down!!!! He was not able to provide us with a room at this time and could not access any of his systems. Big fail on the hotels part. Hopefully no one else needed a room at this timeframe because they would have to travel elsewhere as well. Truths be told, it is a lil'older than the others in the chain, but it is perfect for what it is, and in value. I've reason some of other reviews that I have read we're made by people who "didn't want to stay there anyway" so naturally you would put only 2 stars up (be neutral then write a review ya goon!) This is a fine hotel, and yes the pool and hot tub are heated, and no the pool is not heated in the summer, duh! LOL. The breakfast is better than an average continental.... Continental breakfasts consist of donuts, pasties and coffee and or juices, not other things that this hotel will feature such as sausage gravy, biscuits, bacon, eggs and waffles. So far the only bad one in the chain that my family has encountered is on the shores of Lake Erie in Cleveland.... read more

This is a great place to stay for business travel. Staff from our company always stay here and I was not disappointed. The rooms are very clean and come with a microwave and fridge which is great. The front desk staff is run by Rick, Ken and Shane and they are very helpful and extremely friendly. The surrounding area has some great restaurant including Mr. Herbs which doesnt look like much from the outside but had fantastic food and friendly service. By far one of the worst hotel experiences. With new guidelines in place because of Covid, this hotel went the opposite route. Upon check in, no hotel staff had masks on (and this was all the employees I encountered throughout my one night stay) though it was a requirement for all guests. Once in the room, the tv didn't work/turn on. We called the front desk but no one answered. As we left for the evening for dinner, we didn't see anyone at the front desk to notify about this issue. When we returned we asked about the hotel shuttles to the airport. We got a vague answer about every half hour. Little did we know it was based on demand and did not run regularly. *We almost missed the shuttle as it was ever hour. The final straw was when we wanted to check out in the morning and there was no one to be found. **Again called down to the front desk before heading down but no answer after several calls. When at the desk I knocked on the doors around the desk to get help and eventually found a housekeeper to notify the front desk employee. Very unfortunate given the circumstances. read more

I travel alot for work so i'm constantly staying at hotels in different states, Hampton Inn being one of my favorites! On the morning of 2/1/2020 I came down to have breakfast per usual. Might I say the Hampton Inn has some pretty amazing breakfast. I'm a frequent customer so i'm no stranger to the breakfast menu. Everything was laid out nice, neat and smelled great! I grabbed some fresh fruit, maple sausages and also decided to make a waffle. I then get to my seat and start to eat. As i'm eating I feel a stringy texture in my mouth. I stopped chewing and spit it into a napkin, then noticing that it was a long strand of gold/brown hair!! Immediately I walk up to the front desk with the napkin in my hand to show the front desk worker Donna! I wasnt angry, rude.. more so disgusted because that had to be the longest piece of hair I'd ever imagine would be in my food or even in my mouth. So I pull the hair out of the chewed up waffle remains and show her. Her immediate response was "That's weird, that's not even the color or our cooks hair! We're you standing close to anyone as you were making it". No apology, no sympathizing..just excuses as i'm standing here with a long strand of hair in my hand that clearly does not belong to a young male with a short haircut. With that being said I think it's important that Donna learn to listen, allow guests to vent and not be so defensive when there is an issue in place. Terrible customer service Donna! I will not be staying at this particular location again. I think it would be GREAT if the kitchen staff wore hair nets or something in the future to prevent this! read more

This Hampton Inn is not one of the newer or nicer ones in the chain. It is older but reasonably well kept and clean. They are currently re-painting the rooms and mine has been prepped meaning that they have patched the holes. The really strange thing about this location is the maids are all men. I am not sure why this bothers me but it is confusing, I thought they were maintenance men or something. But no, they clean the rooms. This was my first time at a Hampton Inn, and I guess I wasn't very impressed. We only stayed here because another hotel we stay at in Florence was booked, and this was the next choice. The pool that is advertised as being a heated pool was NOT heated, but that may have been turned off due to the outside temperature. Still, it was colder than I was expecting and our kids didn't really enjoy it. That was the main reason for choosing a location with an indoor pool, for the kids. The breakfast was the average hotel continental breakfast, but the attendant couldn't keep up with the number of people and several things went empty. My wife went down early, and the lady also gave her a dirty look for going down as I checked out to warm up her coffee. The beds were horrible and I was constantly waking up in pain, but the other room appointments were fine. The refrigerator was more than I expected. The room decor was nice, but the hallways are extremely dated and run-down. Not sure if the toilet was broken or if it was just low-flow, but a heads-up would have been nice if it was low-flow. There wasn't a lot close by, but being that they're at an airport, I guess the location expects that you eat over there. The front desk was helpful in providing a list of restaurants in the area. I would stay here again if there were no other choice, but this is not my first choice or location. read more

Very disappointing Hampton. Toilet rocks left to right. Sink doesn't drain. I use the fitness center at every hotel, this elliptical is broken and the recumbent, when you get going a fair speed you are in a rocking chair. The fitness equipment is worthless, so this amenity is non existent at this property, unless you just want to use a treadmill. They have 5 weight balls. Not Hilton standards for sure read more

We've stayed at a number of Hampton Inn's, and this is not one of the better ones. First, the good things. It was clean and comfortable, so no worries there. It was also not very noisy with it being so close to the airport, so that was good too. When we checked in, we had to wait 15 minutes for the staff person to get off the phone and check us in. Not what you really want after a long trip. The room they put us in was really musty and moldy smelling, and the same lady who took 15 minutes to get off the phone acted like she was doing us a favor getting us a different room. The breakfast was okay. Again, we have had better at other Hampton Inn's. The eggs tasted like they were powdered, the coffee pot was empty once and we couldn't find anyone to get a fresh pot. On our last morning there, we decided to go eat elsewhere. The wifi may be free, but it is painfully slow. The other thing, that really Hampton has nothing to do with but visitors should be aware of, is there is NOTHING around this hotel except a few other hotels. There is no place to eat, no place to get gas, etc unless you want to travel down the interstate a few exits. All in all, we slept okay, and I guess the hotel was good for that, but it really did not live up to the Hampton standards. Next time I'm in town, I will be going to one of the other Hampton Inn's. read more

Shuttle to and from airport is relatively prompt, make sure to call before going outside though. Hampton Inn is reliably clean, friendly and efficient and this one is no different. It only loses one star because the freezer part of the fridge didn't freeze and there was sausage patty but no bacon at breakfast. But the value is still great for this mid level hotel. read more

I am an Hilton Honors Diamond member [That means I stay over 60 nights a year at a Hilton Facility]. This is the first Hilton facility that I have to give a bad review. Stay was the week of 7-7-14. Business trip with co-workers. Multiple night stay. [1] Housekeeping is in much need of improvement. 1st night stay housekeeping took towels, etc from bathroom. That is all they did. Did not clean, did not replace towels, etc., did not replace toiletries, did not make bed. 2nd night didn't have pillow cases on all pillows. [2] Fellow co-worker #1 had problems with housekeeping also. [3] Fellow co-worker #2 never got the air conditioner fixed in room. [4] Bathtubs are dangerous. Too narrow. Bottoms are very rounded. Cannot stand on a flat surface. Extremely easy to fall. Soap dishes and handrail are mounted in such a way that they protrude into the standing area of the tub. [4] Shower curtains too short and too thin. Floor always wet after shower. [5] Design of bathroom sink and vanity is very bad. Cannot get to lever to pull sink drain. [6] Stairways are not open construction. They are enclosed. Therefore; some dangerous person can be hiding in stairway and you will not see them until upon them. [7] Elevator extremely slow. [8] Floor display in elevator does not work. Will not stay here again. read more

I stayed here for business when passing through town. The customer service was friendly, and the rooms were clean & cozy. It was welcoming to arrive after traveling & arriving late. I wanted to give 4.9 stars, because the only downside was that I went to grab an apple in the morning @ breakfast, but none of them looked good. read more
