Yoli the bar waitress was awesome! Excellent wine, bourbon, and cocktail selection. The best smoked old fashion I've ever had. Thanks for the hospitality Yoli!!

The shuttle was quicker than promised. The driver was friendly and courteous. The restaurant is amazing. The Kentucky salad with salmon added was so large, I'm taking some back to my room for later. Ask for Carolyn at the restaurant, she definitely won't steer you wrong. The property is clean and very convenient to the airport. I would definitely stay here again!!

Understanding the issues placed upon a business during the emergence from the pandemic. However, there is a real Lack of team culture and the staff here is falling back on "we can't get anyone to work" while they sit behind computer terminals and do nothing to pay attention to the guests. As a CEO who just replaced four dozen fluorescent bulbs in our building yesterday I have very little compassion for a team who will not adjust to today's realities and simply use it as a crutch to perform more poorly. The gym is not paid attention to. During a heightened sense of sanitization it would be the last thing you should ignore but it is here. Garbage is left to pile up. Towels non existent. Hand sanitizer runs out. No supervision or any regular cleaning at all. Some house keeping staff are friendly and others act while you're in their way. Spoke with the manager about issues and he reverted to addressing complaints one day but not the problem. Complained to one front desk staff who brought full sized towels. Told him to take notes about the other things but blankly stared at me. The next day was the manager who put a bandaid on the issues himself. Third day was a front desk worker who complained herself about the lack of workers who did nothing but shoot rebuttals back to me. Funny if she spent that same amount of tine addressing real issues than surfing social media on her phone then maybe they wouldn't have to hire a bunch of more people who do very little. Columbia Sussex should think twice about the operation of this establishment and make needed changes.

This hotel is 2.5 stars in my book and I will try another hotel next time. If you're offered a free breakfast- don't get excited! It's extra greasy eggs, extra greasy potatoes and bacon. No healthier options. No vegetarian option. No substitutions at all. The Starbucks kiosk in the lobby was closed so I opted to drive to the Starbucks 10 minutes away for breakfast. Everything for breakfast and dinner is overpriced and lack luster. It's super close to the airport but at least 10-20 minute drive to any decent food options. Front desk was friendly, rooms were nice, and it was peaceful even being so close to the airport.

Airport hotels can be hit or miss. This one was a hit! Had one of those 0 dark thirty flights and weather was one of those "Ohio iffy" forecasts. So decided to cover my bases and head down the afternoon before. Booked directly and got a good rate. Front desk personnel was so friendly, and not only allowed us to park our car there for the duration of our trip, but my son's as well (he lives in Cincinnati and shuttled over to the airport with us the next morning) Can't ask for more than that. Room was nice if just a tad dated, and there was a bar and an excellent restaurant for dinner. Winning. We liked it well enough we decided to be good to ourselves and book it again on our return cause we knew it would be a long travel day and we would be tired. I went downstairs and asked for the same rate. They won't actually book a room here...you have to either go online or call Marriott directly. No problem...I went upstairs and book an even cheaper rate online. Winning. Again, front desk was so welcoming and put up in the renovated section. It was beautiful...can't wait for the rest of the hotel to be done. Cause we will be back. Breakfast buffet was excellent as well.

Stayed here three nights, very conveniently located with easy access to the airport, about a 5 min drive to the rental lot and a gas station on the way. Shuttle starts at 4 am by the way. The staff was welcoming and well mannered. Fast service with a good explanation of the facility and amenities. Rooms were fairly clean, mostly dusty from the lack of visitors perhaps. Not too bad. Marriotts tend to do good most of the time with cleanliness. Good visit, saved to the local favorites for now. About 20 min from downtown Cincinnati which is good. I'd stay here again.

If I could, this would have been a 2.5 star rating…read more The good: The location was great, whether you are flying out of the airport or simply exploring Cincinnati across the river. The morning breakfast was surprisingly good as well (served until 10). Tasty sausage and waffle machine options, as well as biscuits and gravy and the basic continental breakfast options. The indoor pool looked inviting and we appreciated the free and ample parking. Another nice touch was the drinking fountain with the filtered water bottle fill up. The price was great for the location and what was included. We appreciated that our family of five could get one room that fit all of us. The bad: my kiddos wanted me to add the empty "free check-in desk cookie container" here. More pressing/vital issues than the cookies-The inside needed some help with humidity, as the smell was immediately extremely musty and air felt damp. In the room, all of the sheets and towels felt moist to the touch. Our room needed many items replaced, including a beat up lamp shade with stains and dents galore, a remote that didn't allow down button to work, and TV near couch not working at all. Most importantly (and unfortunate), the pullout couch was completely broken. My husband and son couldn't figure out why it wouldn't unfold until we saw that the entire bottom leg was broken off and the frame held together by a phone cord of some kind. We had to put the stained and torn mattress on the floor for our son to sleep on. There was also no bedding for the pullout in our room and we had to go down and get it, which isn't ideal after a long day out and about. If we hadn't already unpacked and had our younger children asleep in the other room, we would have requested a new room.

I don't get on my hands and knees like other people seem to do so idk if there was anything under the beds. Didn't use the microwave but the fridge did work. Coffee pot worked also. Sink and toilet were clean and worked good. Didn't use the shower so can't comment on that. TVs seem old but didn't watch tv so didn't care. The pool was extremely loud and overcrowded. Sign said no more than 15 in the pool and there was at least 25 people in there. No chairs to sit in except maybe 6 and they were all being monopolized by the same loud people our entire stay. Water was freezing. The breakfast was just so so compared to other hotels I've stayed at. All , and I mean all the tables were dirty. Some woman was taking all the sausages and tried to justify to me why she was doing so. Went to eat biscuits and gravy and the biscuit was like a hockey puck. Creepy weird tweaking and twitching guy by elevator didn't feel safe going on there alone with my teen daughter. Also some guys kept lingering in the hall by our room. Doesn't seem safe for women traveling alone. Didn't see any bedbugs or ants or anything kind of bugs so not sure why other people said they did. There are no gas stations or restaurants nearby but if you drive 15 minutes away you can find some. I guess there is a restaurant in the Marriott but didn't try it. Overall the room and front desk staff were great but the pool needs to be monitored, breakfast needs to be a little better and a little cleaner. Also making sure random dudes aren't lingering all over the floors might be a good idea also.

Its location is convenient to the Cincinnati airport (which is actually in Northern Kentucky), the Florence, KY mall area, I-75/I-71, numerous restaurants and other businesses. The lobby area, which is bathed in bright natural light, offers complimentary water, coffee and tea. Also, on that same level is the fitness room and pool. I was a little disappointed that there was no bar/restaurant, then I realized that this caliber of hotel usually only has a store (market) and not a restaurant. So, my disappointment subsided and I focused on what the hotel did offer. The room was really nice and was laid out very well. It had a kitchenette that contained a microwave, a small refrigerator and of course, a coffee maker that could also be used to make tea. The desk area was nicely partitioned from the sleep area by a floor-to-ceiling hutch. In this way, someone could work at the desk with the light on and not disturb anyone sleeping in the bed. The toilet and shower were separated and in different rooms. The compact room with the toilet had a very small sink, large corner mirror and space for a towel rack. The larger room with the sizeable (two-person) shower had dual sinks, a huge, back-lit mirror, outlets galore and floor space grand enough for one person to comfortably do yoga. The lights in the main room and washrooms were dimmable, which was a really nice feature. The complimentary breakfast was exceptional. It contained all the staples both hot and cold. I had a very enjoyable stay and would choose this hotel again.

We checked into our room around 11 PM, and received great customer service from Bridget. Our room was clean, and this was a decent place to stay before our early flight the next morning. You just can't beat the location - it's less than 10 minutes to the main airport terminal. The main reason we selected this hotel was their "Park Here, Fly There" program. For less than $200, we spent the night before our flight, and then registered our car and left it parked for up to seven days at the hotel. After the room rate, the parking comes out to around $10/day, which is so much cheaper than many of the other options nearby. They even have a FREE shuttle to the airport that leaves every 30 minutes. It operates 24/7, 365 days a year, and I can confirm that because we used this service on Christmas morning! The shuttle will even pick you up from the airport and bring you back to the hotel when you land on your return flight - though we ended up just taking an Uber because we didn't want to wait in the cold. I'd recommend this hotel to anyone who needs a convenient place to stay before a flight with ample and inexpensive parking! We'd definitely book this package again the next time we fly out of CVG.
