Ok, but this Hilton brand has lost its luster, popular with business travelers most of DoubleTrees get a lot of business, government and construction/road crew contract guests. Our room was ok, clean and ok, but not as comfortable with the Home2 chain also by Hilton that we prefer. The staff was usually engaging, even the ground staff and the room service staff. We got to breakfast late and the hotel was getting ready for an all-hands staff meeting. We were welcome to stay in the lounge while they had their meeting and it was clear that customer service and hospitality was important to them and it showed in how they all treated us. I would say the stay was more professional, friendly and engaging than we expected from this price point. And yes they still have the cookies but they are no longer locally made and although warm they tase more like frozen cookie dough than they used to have. I think all DoubleTree's do that now. read more

Wow! Doubletree really put together a fantastic team here at this location. From the minute our shuttle driver, "Wally" arrived at the airport we knew we were in good hands. We were a bit early to check in at 9:00am, so our room was not quite ready. "Ed" our hotel associate at the front desk, recommended a diner close by (see "Rosie's Dinner" review). After breakfast it was still too early so we toured the property. There's an indoor pool and Spa. A Fitness Center, and several conference rooms. One was set up to buy gold. While waiting Wally stopped by and offered us the famous Doubletree cookies. They were still warm and falling apart as we tried to eat them. Finally our room was ready. Since we were part of a group our room was on the group leaders card. There was a minor issue, but Ed was on top of it. He had it resolved in mins. Got the key to our room and we were quite impressed. Spacious King bed room, smartly planned and a good use of space. Great place to come to at the end of the day. When in Aurora, I highly recommend this location. Free parking, restaurant on site, indoor pool, and lots of other amenities. I truly can't say enough about our stay. Had a very nice stay here. The staff was excellent starting with the front desk. The warm fresh cookies are bonus points. The lobby is inviting and clean. Quiet is also a positive description. I stayed at 3 different hotels on my trip last week. All were different chains. Of the three this doubletree was the only bad one. Was told $130 per night after taxes and fees but was charged $240 per night. The room was supposed to be nonsmoking but stunk of smoke. The handle for the shower was broken. Breakfast was not included and was $18 per person extra. Handicapped parking was far away from the doors. The room cleanliness and beds were standard fare, same as the BW and HIE we also stayed at for half the price, but those also had wifi, streaming options on the TV, places to charge your phone next to the bed, full breakfast included, and they gave us free water bottles at checkout because it was hot out. Checking in was also much easier at the other two hotels versus the DT. The room labeled Ice and Vending had only an ice machine but we were able to buy a bottle of water for $6 at the front desk. I mean its not a dump but it does need repair on the elevator and bathtub. Basically motel 6 quality rooms but with a fancy looking lobby.​ read more

Horrible. Even Spark hotels have basic buttons on the remote that work. This tv was straight out of 2000. No app capabilities. No guide button function for menu. Nothing about the tv worked other than the arrow up and down to scroll through the channels like circa 1985. If I knew I would get this cheap tv in my room I would have stayed at Motel 6. read more

We stayed here while visiting my sister, and it was a pleasant experience. The hotel has a bar and restaurant on-site, which is super convenient. Jazmine checked us in and was warm and energetic. When we requested a room change due to an odor and a noisy air conditioner, they were very accommodating and gracious, quickly giving us a new room that was perfect. The bed was extremely comfortable with soft pillows, and the room had nice amenities, including a microwave, refrigerator, and coffeemaker. The dresser drawers were deep, allowing us to store our belongings easily, and the closet was spacious enough to fit two large suitcases while still allowing us to hang up our clothes. An iron and ironing board were also provided, which was a nice touch. Overall, it was a comfortable room and a nice stay. read more

EDIT: Choosing to respond with snark instead of understanding that my issue here is in principle in customer treatment and not about a dollar amount, I'd like to point out that while I did indeed "book a non cancellable non refundable reservation to get a discounted rate and then needed to cancel my reservation." I only CHOSE this hotel because Hilton runs PAID AD PLACEMENTS which literally state "Fully Refundable" and "Reserve Now Pay Later" as options on Expedia and though I was ill, I needed a last minute flight and hotel package to try to attend a funeral, which I can't make now. So apparently Hilton is either paying to lie or I couldn't read the placement properly. Anyone want to take a look? Sorry for trying to choose your brand--it's Aurora. I could've chosen The Benson or Woolley's or literally stayed anywhere else. Never Hilton anywhere again now. Not a surprise Manager Scott missed the whole point of this feedback and interaction. It should also be noted this Hilton only has 4 stars on Expedia, most other sites are 3s and lower --which had me nervous anyway. Maybe that's why they purchase the misleading placements? Service is Excellent! Very friendly staff. Great location too! Right off of the freeway. Right next to the gas station Free parking and a lot of it. About 20 min to Denver downtown About 30 mins to Red Rocks About a hour to Colorado springs For diamond, they did gave a free upgrade to the suite and gave us $30 food credit everyday! Hotel was remodeled, but you can tell it's older. Internet was slow and not moving at times. Shower water got cold randomly. Mattress was sagging in the middle. People slamming their doors kept waking me up. But the service made up for it. I would probably try one of the many new hotels next time, but overall very pleased. read more

The staff was very helpful and friendly. The property had several problems. Lobby air conditioning was inconsistent All three elevators were suffering. At one point all three were not working and it required accessing our rooms by stair Toilet in original room was blocked at check-in and again two days later. Getting anyone to come to fix took three requests and six hours. At the third request we were given the room across the hall. That toilet was working. Thank you. Bathroom in second room was very shabby. Bathtub had pealing paint in the actual tub. The flooring tiles were old and incomplete with gaps. Ice machine on third floor smelled strongly of mold. Carpet throughout was old and shabby Again, the staff was friendly and tried to be helpful. I wonder why the property seemed to be lacking proper maintenance or refurbishing. read more

Great location, Restaurant on-site, safe and the room was spacious. We had a great time in Denver. The property is well maintained and the cookies are always right on time. They have a shuttle and re within walking distance of stores and restaurants. I would stay here again since it checked all the boxes for me. read more

I was able to stay here for a work trip, because our conference was located inside one of their conference rooms. I never had any issues with customer service, and they took care of all of my questions and needs. They provide shuttle service to from the airport every hour, starting at 6 AM, but I'm not sure about the time that they stop offering shuttle service. I was offered a king room that was very spacious. I had a nice little separate coffee area, and my bathroom was decently sized as well. Included in our work package was two morning breakfast buffets that were nothing to complain about as well. They offered a buffet style of waffles, scrambled eggs, cereals, yogurts, fruits, and an assortment of breads. We had the server both mornings, and he was very sweet. Overall, I would stay at this hotel again if I was in the area. read more

I am leaving a 1 star review for this hotel, The DoubleTree by Hilton - Aurora, because it was beyond disappointing in every way. Firstly, walking into the lobby felt just like walking into a sauna. It had to be at least 78-80 degrees throughout our entire stay. Secondly, our room was horrendous and only got worse with every step into the room - see attached pictures. The walls and windows are paper thin, you can hear every noise that's above a whisper on either side and through the window. Also the elevator is unnecessarily loud and sketchy. If it hadn't been really late when we arrived from the 2,500+ mile cross country road trip we were on, we would've RUN out of this pitiful hotel. The cherry on top of it all is that it was $250 for the night... highly recommend skipping this hotel. Best wishes! read more

Any place that gives me fresh, warm, and delicious chocolate cookies is a winner in my book. Honestly though, this is a fantastic hotel. I don't agree with the overall rating it has here on Yelp. My experience was great. It's conveniently located off the 225 in Aurora and is a good kid-point between Downtown and the airport. They offer shuttle service to the airport which was a key reason I chose it. Our flight was to leave in the morning and instead of waking up very early to return the car I planned to return it the day before and then take the shuttle to the airport. Gave us more time to sleep. This was the best hotel I found that offered shuttle service and was close to Downtown. Keep in mind you must request the shuttle service. Best to do so at check-in. Also, the first shuttle leaves at 6am. Not sure when the last one does. The shuttle bus driver was very nice. Also, note that you also have to request maid service at check-in. The staff, in general, was friendly. I received a couple of texts from Sunday and Rachel asking how our stay was going. Nice little detail. I had never experienced this before. At first, I was suspicious and called front desk to confirm Sindy worked there. She did, lol. Our room was nice, had lots of space. For a hotel by the freeways, it quiet inside and outside. They had some tables and chairs set up outside in front of the hotel. They made for a nice spot to chill and relax. The lobby was also nice and relaxing. Overall, the vibe at the hotel was relaxing (or chillaxing). I liked that. As I mentioned, it is near Downtown so it won't take long (depending on traffic) to see the sights and attractions, but it is also outside the stress that Downtown areas tend to have. Aurora is a pretty chill place, from what we got to experience. There are some good places to eat and family friendly things to do. The hotel does have a restaurant, in case you decide to stay in. I would stay here again and recommend it to friends and family looking for a place to stay in Denver. Almost forgot, I overheard the couple next to me checking in get turn around because they had a cat. The manager told them that even though the hotel is pet friendly the website states dogs only. DOUBLETREE DENVER: Doug was a friendly, courteous, and professional employee. After finishing the check-in process, he handed me two cold water bottles and two, warm, fresh chocolate chip cookies. They were wonderful! The room was neat and clean...and quiet! Truth be known, however, I could have probably slept through a "Rocky Mountain High" John Denver concert if it would have been held in the adjoining room, ha! (720 miles in one day on a motorcycle always helps me sleep well.) The entrance / lobby area is enormous with lots of ample and comfortable seating. There's a bar / lounge to the right that I understand one can purchase something to eat. We did not visit it so I can't attest to the menu or quality of food. There is a local bar next door one can walk to (which we did) that has a good menu and decent food. I definitely recommend this place and would stay here again. read more

Horrible experience No AC in room we stopped last min cause we needed sleep in a cross country road trip when I called they PROMISED 2 Tesla chargers and then I get there and one was broken and one was taken by a GMC truck ALL night. And once my kids were sleeping they wanted me to switch rooms cause that was the only option for AC well I wasn't gonna wake up my kids a d they didn't care at all the next morning. I stayed here as part of a group event and was pleasantly surprised based on prior reviews! Our room was very clean and updated with super comfy beds. Ali and the banquet team did a great job managing our large group, refilling food quickly and staying on top of allergy options. The only issue throughout the weekend was malfunctioning elevators - one was broken all weekend, and another was broken off and on. Additionally, while aesthetically pleasing, the central open space near the elevators means that any loud noises carry to every floor of the hotel. read more

The hotel is very nice and quiet. Our room was clean, comfortable, and spacious. Ideal when you are with children. Staff was friendly. There are a few places to eat walking distance, as well as a gas station next door. The hotel is close to the highway so you have easy access to wherever you want to go. It is not too far from Downtown. My only complaint is that on the first night the air conditioner made a sound through most of the night. I couldn't sleep. This what a very bad experience for me and my friend we came in the hotel and the person at the counter was disrespectful and they said it will take 5 minutes it took 20 minutes than we got our room cards and it took 4 different one to finally wot so what who'd be 5 minutes took 35 minutes to just get inside the room the room was dirty and was very lackluster and we book our room right next to each other come to find out or rooms are in different floors and than this was a horrible stay and o am not the type of person to criticize everything but this was horrific. read more

Located right off the expressway and walking distance to many business. Gas station next to it. Plenty of parking but does get full towards the end of night. There are very friendly and the lobby is very welcoming. The place is very clean including the pool area and work out room. They have a nice bar and restaurant. Easy check in process. Our room was located on the 6th floor. Room was very clean and smelled good. Would recommend bringing your own bottled water as the room doesn't have any courtesy' water avail. They do give delicious free cookies. We did have one issue. Our original room had a leaking ceiling from the melting snow but once we address it with hotel the quickly moved us to another room with out and questions. Will definitely stay here again when we come back. read more

Let's say if want to see crime and homeless on the side of the road this is the place to be. If you are here for softball and this is your last resort stay somewhere else. The staff was good but other then that hotel is old and ran down the rooms anyway. The AC runs very loud and if it's not run the room will start to smell. We had to stay here for 7 days and in that time. 2 cars stolen from the parking lot. One truck has it gas tank punctured to siphon the gas. That's of what I know. Just came off a flight back from Louisville Kentucky visiting family and decided to stay put for the night in Double Tree. I'm super impressed by the atmosphere that this cozy hotel gives off when you walk through the doors. It was cold that night and windy and I had checked in and was given a warm chocolate chip cookie. I've haven't been at any hotel that gives away "free" cookies and water that you do not have to "buy." That cookie was piping hot and warm which was super good by the way. I was told to eat one of their cookies since they are super good by my mom back at home. My room that I had booked was a king sized bed and it was nice and clean. No hair in the tub nor in the sheets which I do NOT LIKE by any means. The water pressure and temperature was fantastic in the shower which was a nice walk in shower thumbs up for me. The coffee provided in the room was even good which is surprising because not many hotels have decent coffee. The coffee usually tastes not good. But their coffee in my room had flavor and a nice good taste use bottled water for a better taste in my opinion. I will most definitely stay again when I'm in Denver or any where that has Double Tree again. read more

Small table in room held together with drywall screws. Air conditioning unit was very loud making it difficult to sleep. Bathroom clean and updated but noticeably patched together on ceiling. Reception was fine but overly focused on the anticipated crowd coming in. Lobby area is nice. There are couple places to eat nearby. Overall, it was ok, but not likely to stay here again on my next trip. read more

They didn't have any hot breakfast the website is A lie.. charged us $17 for cold muffins, then when I checked and they saw I paid for the breakfast in the stay... they gave me hell about returning my money!!!! Once you do please teach them about context clues and how to read. The housekeeping and resturant staff were great. I only gave this hotel one star because the front desk staff was friendly and helpful, and the beds weren't terrible. Our hotel room wasn't vacuumed. There was dirt all over the floor - food crumbs, Swisher Sweets wrappers (in 2 separate rooms). This is a pet-friendly hotel, but one night, we came back to the room and there was dog poop on the carpet outside my room. When I called about it, the desk said they knew, and were trying to figure out how to clean it up. I have dogs (which I didn't bring with me on this trip) and it's not difficult to clean up dog poop. Also, when leaving the last day, I came off the elevator to what looked like a spilled drink. Nope - it was dog pee on the floor, where it had dribbled down from the column the dog had peed on. There was at least one other time when we came through the lobby and the floors in the lobby and elevator were dirty. The first room we stayed in stunk of cigarettes, so badly that I got headaches from it overnight and switched rooms. There was broken artwork hanging on the bathroom wall in that room. The second room we stayed in had a broken ottoman and flickering floor lamp (which I couldn't get to the bulb to tighten it). Both rooms had loose bathroom faucets where the faucet handle got turned in the bathroom counters. For an average of almost $175/night, this place was nasty. If I never stayed there again in my life, that would be fine. I can't believe Hilton has their name on this hotel. read more

I had very high expectations of Doubletree by Hilton after the last one we stayed in at Okinawa, Japan. Unfortunately, our high expectations were let down. I used the Hilton app to check in. Also, used the app to open the back exterior door- so we never actually interacted with the staff during our short two-day stay. TIP: park in the back and use the back door. The lobby and bar were super cute & the food was delicious. We had a quick night-cap, with superb desserts. Aside from general shabbiness of the rooms, the main reason we didn't love the place was that the walls were paper-thin. We could hear specific words and loud laughter from the room next door. Even the toilet flushing. My expectations of the Doubletree name are much lower now. read more

I've been a guest at so many Hilton properties. Massachusetts, New Hampshire, 2 in Virginia, 2 in Idaho, and 2 in Florida. There's one I stay in in Florida that I love because the staff there are so wonderful, but I have to say this property in Aurora was my favorite due to the comfort level. The staff was very welcoming upon arrival, the room was lovely with an outstanding view. It was so incredibly quiet!!!! The bed was comfort at it's best! Pool was so lovely and relaxing, breakfast was actually delicious which was surprising because at most Hilton's it's just fair. The folks at the restaurant were very warm and friendly. With having been here several times for events, I can say this is a well run establishment! The food is great and the meeting spaces/restaurant is on point for both small and large gatherings. They sure know how to put on a good luncheon and evening banquet for hundreds of people. With the restaurant being newly renovated, it's a nice space for a drink at the bar. I called to see if they had any rooms available.. they said yes they have plenty of rooms available. I told them im going to be arriving early around 830 am to check in. They said thats fine. I pay for a 40 dollar uber there from the airport just for them to say they don't have any rooms available. There was 2 ladies at the front desk and I told one of them I spoke to someone earlier on the phone saying it was okay to come in early. The girl who i spoke to on the phone name is Rachel I believe. I'm pretty sure its the white girl with glasses. The other front desk lady asked if she spoke to anyone on the phone earlier and Rachel straight up lied and said "nope" with a guilty ass look on her face. Stupid a** b**** why waste my time and money? Then lie about it and try to make me look stupid? Now I have to wait in the lobby for another hour. read more

I had a great stay at this hotel! From the minute I walked in, the staff was very friendly and welcoming. They sent me a couple of texts during my stay to see how my visit was going. The only "problem" I had was that when I came back to the hotel, the day after checking in, my room had not been cleaned. I called the front desk to inquire and they apologized saying that Hilton had rolled out a new policy that guest rooms would only be cleaned upon request and that I should have been told during check in. It was no big deal at all. I simply requested more wash clothes and they brought them right away. I will absolutely stay at this hotel again when I visit Aurora read more

The two stars is for the man (older lean white dude with grayish hair) working at the restaurant in the mornings. He was incredibly rude this morning. Wouldn't even make eye contact saying that they were closed. I just wanted to get some coffee a few mins after 10, all good if they're closed but his demeanor was so repulsive and rude. I'm a Hilton Diamond Member and have had tons of great experiences with the brand over the years. This was NOT one of them. By far the worst experience I've ever had at any hotel. Scott Turbow, the GM, has zero people skills. His lack of leadership and customer service skills are reflected in the fact that most of the recent reviews on here and Google are only one star. If I could give them negative stars, I would. Don't waste your money here, you would likely have a better experience sleeping in a tent by the freeway. read more
