The room (514) was nice, comfortable, clean and quiet. The indoor pool was nice. Being a Diamond member, I got both the 1000 points and the food & beverage credit. However, pay attention to your bill on checkout. The system did not automatically apply the credit and I had to have them correct it on checkout. The lady at the desk was super apologetic and did not understand why the system did apply it automatically. She quickly applied it and all was good. The breakfast at the Park Bar & Grill on site here was ok. Even though they have it buffet style, you can ask them to make you eggs or omelettes your way, so be advised, you don't have to eat the powered eggs they have on the buffet, you can get fresh eggs! The location in Cary was perfect for me. It was close to the city close to my work location in Cary, and was right next to a shopping center with everything you might need. DoubleTree's can be hit or miss, and this one was a hit for us. We were able to upgrade to a larger and nicer room for little to no price, making it easier to spend time together while in the room. Our room was a king with a sofa bed and it also had a mini fridge. It was quiet all night long. The location was great as we were in perfect proximity to Raleigh, Durham, and Chapel Hill. It's a great central location. As gold members, we were granted $15 in credit each day for breakfast. For $10 a day, you can enjoy cereals, breads, and other dry foods. For the additional $5, you can eat eggs, bacon, sausage, etc. We were happy to get this credit as it saved us a lot on breakfast in the mornings. The only silly part was that it was about $3 extra for pancakes or waffles. I've been to hotels all across the world and that's always included in the continental price. Odd and something to be aware of if you have littles, but didn't really matter to us. The gym and indoor pool were nice for the level of hotel. I'd recommend! read more

The Manager TK Franklin was so helpful and accommodating to us. Due to the technical shutdown the airlines had .Also weather was awful flying out of DTW.All flights were canceled or delayed. We called and spoke with TK Franklin who's first response was "Are you Ok??" I was so shocked and instantly impressed.This is the type of customer service you need.Tk Franklin was concerned about us first and foremost. We explained our dilemma and he canceled our reservation for us without any penalty. And refunded us .We were so grateful to feel like someone cared.When we do fly into Raleigh-Cary NC we will definitely be staying at this The Doubletree. We recently stayed st the Doubletree in Cary, NC, because of a college tour at nearby NC State. We usually stay with Hilton properties because we've become accustomed to their amenities and style of service. When we arrived, we were promptly greeted and checked in in a timely manner. The desk attendant was friendly and helpful. When we got to our room, everything was as expected, and there were no issues. The bathroom was quite spacious, and the room also had the usual mini fridge, coffee maker, and room safe. The design of the room was nice as well, and because of our location, we didn't really have a view, but we were here for only one night. The Doubletree has an indoor pool and a decent-size gym. Overall, we had a great stay; the beds were comfortable, everything worked except the safe, but we didn't need it this trip! read more

Came in on July 16th-19th because i was going to an operation near the hotel. Let me tell you, this has been one of the best hotels my husband and I have been to. From the staff to the rooms we have no complaints. First, Elizabeth and Cristina were amazing with answering Andy and every question I had. Plus, those cookies are a sin, omg . The pool isn't huge but it is nice to go enjoy a little swim and just relax for a bit. Good thing us they also make sure to keep towels there for people swimming. Now, in the morning, I will never ever forget how Pamela and Will treated us at the breakfast area. I do understand that people in the hospitality business should be a certain way, but these two amazing human beings went above and beyond. One thing I notice with people is if they are smiling and believe me, a smile can say so much. They pay attention to detail and just have such great personalities. If we ever come back in this area, oh, I definitely am booking here again. The breakfast is fresh and definitely pretty darned good. Overall, my experience was great, and I'm so glad because I was scared if it would not be so pleasant because of me trying to recover from surgery. Also, something to note is that you can get room service for breakfast, and they also have a bar, and you can get food in the afternoon. I didn't stay overnight here but I attended for an all day work meeting. The catering manager was extremely helpful and willing to help. The lunch menu had a good variety of things. I picked the field green salad and the ratio of lettuce to everything else was really bad. It was all lettuce. The shrimp was really good, though. The room was great for a meeting. The bathrooms were not stocked. Toilet paper was out in one stall and the paper towel and soap dispenser wasn't working That was not acceptable during the day at 11am when nobody really staying there. Absolutely loved this hotel! The staff was friendly. The lobby has seating areas that are conducive for relaxing, chatting with friends, or sitting and having a coffee while reading a book. Off the lobby there is an ample size gym and an indoor pool. Your room key can be programmed into your phone. Very convenient! The rooms are modern but have little luxuries that you don't normally see at this level of hotel. The bathroom is huge. The all white color gives it such a fresh feeling. Plenty of fluffy white towels and upscale bath products are provided. The furniture has up to date touches and the bed and bedding are super comfy. The hotel is also convenient to many stores and restaurants. The only reason I could not give this Doubletree five stars is because of the parking situation. The parking lot for this hotel is too small. There were several times when we had to keep driving around looking for a spot. If you are in the same situation, you might want to look for parking at the Target next door. It might be your only option. Besides the parking, great hotel option in the Raleigh/Carey area. read more

Our friends that were traveling with us didn't have an issue w/ their A/C so I am thinking it was just ours. It got extremly hot in our room and had to turn it down to 58 degrees inorder for the room to cool off to about 68. No one likes to sweat while they sleep. I know I don't. Many things went wrong during this stay. First, the digital key never did come to my phone, but I wouldn't have minded that so much. It was the fact that I could tell when I walked in the lobby that this hotel was not really Hilton quality. It looked below any standard Doubletree I have ever stayed in. There were no closets in the rooms, no true dressers (baskets in cubbies instead), no full length mirrors, the wardrobe in the room smelled moldy, the rooms were extremely dark with little lighting and very small, and nothing about the room was luxurious. I was told that the property was in the process of being upgraded before COVID-19, but then everything was put on hold, so it is still in the condition it was purchased in. If I would have known that prior to booking, I would have stayed elsewhere. To make matters worse, the housekeeper stole my brand new Kay Yow Breast Cancer Awareness shirt that I purchased to wear at the family breakfast Sunday morning. I flew in town for the wedding of my baby sister. Now the most prominent memory I will have is someone ripping me off for my breast cancer shirt! The manager Nakisha stated that the housekeeper previously turned in $1500 cash, so she doesn't see why she would "loose her job over a shirt". However, as a breast cancer survivor who buys "a shirt" to pay homage to my survivorship and commemorate my friends who have transitioned, I am incensed that someone stole this precious, brand new item from me. The partial credit for the stay and the memories Nakesha shared about her own sister's breast cancer does not negate the fact that I was violated. It took me a while to respond to the request for a survey submission because I have been so very angry about this entire situation. I have literally never had someone steal from me out of my hotel, and I have traveled all over the world! Not only is my heart broken about what she chose to take because of the sentimental value to me personally, having had four dear friends die from breast cancer in the last two months alone, but now I will always mistrust housekeeping when I never did before. I have family who raised generations on a housekeeper's hourly pay, and I respected the hard work that goes into the job. The front desk staff and Assistant Manager were friendly initially at check-in, but what matters is the entire experience. One dishonest person at the Doubletree Hilton in Cary, NC has done so much damage. I will not be recommending this location to anyone. If you do stay there, don't say Kindra sent you. read more

I thought I left a review already. Guess not. The place is really nice itself and the girl at the front desk is really nice. It was after 12 am when I checked in. I wanted to spend some time at the pool and gym room but had to be on the road the next morning. The worse thing about this place is that there is a 1 inch gap on the bottom of the bedroom door. It is super loud that you can hear everyone's conversation when they walk by the hallway. They woke me up in the morning much earlier than I anticipated to wake up. read more

Our stay was off to a bit of a rough start thanks to the Charlotte Catholic High School football team and the underage drinking/partying going on, but Nakeisha went out of her way to make it right. She and the rest of the staff were so kind, gracious and helpful that by the next day it was like Charlotte Catholic who? Nakeisha was very knowledgeable and I really can't say enough great things about her. I'm not sure how or why she isn't managing this hotel but she should be. Give the woman a raise while you're at it! The entire staff was very friendly and did everything they could to make us more comfortable during our stay, I only wish I'd gotten more names so I could call attention to each of them. By then end of the weekend we felt like family!! read more

I haven't tried any other hotel in the area but there isn't a need to. This Doubletree is a great place to stay! Pros: First I'll start off with the cookies! Yummy! This is true of any doubletree but it's a nice added touch. The rooms are spacious and clean. Bathrooms are very spacious. Indoor pool so weather isn't a issue Great gym Great breakfast Cons: Bathroom door is very hard to push back and forth No bathroom fan No microwave in room Steak in restaurant isn't great. Expected a real steak. Not thin slices of steak already cut. My cons are by no means deal breakers and other then the bathroom door everything else is just a personal preference. The staff is wonderful and although this hotel gets very busy with travelers they give you individualized attention. For such a busy place I am throughly impressed with their cleanliness and service. Decent little hotel in the heart of Cary Towne Center boasts comfortable rooms, decent amenities and a solid location. Service on my recent stay was outstanding, from warm cookies at check-in to a terrific breakfast buffet with good coffee the morning I checked out. My room was a little on the small side, and the bed could've used a couple more pillows, but otherwise, my stay was pleasant. Con's The place is loud, you can absolutely hear everything that goes on all over the place. For me it was a nightmare being near the elevator because you had to hear everyone's conversation. Far worse of a consequence was to have to hear the elderly couple in the next room bang for 45 min. Good for you old timer but I don't want to hear that shit. Lastly my girlfriend was coming in around 12:30 am and when I asked how she could get in the property call box etc etc..the gentleman at the front desk said the doors would be open. OK. So this isn't a "five star" hotel but it does have a "five star" experience. I came down here for a conference and booked a room at the conference rate. Since I'm a Hilton Honors member (you almost can't avoid signing up for these hotel loyalty programs) I got a great room on the top floor. Woooo hoooo! Actually, the whole experience (I leave tomorrow morning) has been great. I was greeted by a friendly staff person who gave me the famous Doubletree chocolate chip cookie as soon as I approached the desk. Check in was a breeze. The room is great. Spacious and clean with plenty of work space, great TV with lots of channels. Hugh bathroom. It even passes my strictest test which is to have an outlet near the bed (for my CPAP machine since I have sleep apnea) and the bed and pillows (especially the pillows) were very comfortable. I slept well. he breakfast buffet is fine and priced reasonably and the meeting rooms are perfect for small to medium size groups. Everybody on staff is really friendly and helpful. This past weekend was my second stay at the Doubletree by Hilton Hotel. And if I end up back in Raleigh anytime soon, I'll be staying there again. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. We were given fresh baked cookies at check-in. Our room was very nice and clean. The bed and pillows were quite comfortable. The style of the bedroom and bath were trendier and newer than hotels at a comparable rate. We had a nice tv mounted on the wall with a really good selection of channels. The lobby and common area had nice couches and decor and even a couple of apple computers and printers that guests could use. There's a nice indoor pool and fitness area and even a Bar in the lobby. The location was also really great too. There a Target and a movie theater within walking distance, along with a number of shops and restaurants within some strip malls nearby. Continental breakfast wasn't included, but I wasn't planning on eating at the hotel anyway. Overall I really enjoyed my stay and will be back if I'm in Raleigh again. read more

Friendly and efficient check in, complete with my warm cookie. Rooms seemed to have been renovated but the furniture was older. Bath was spacious and had plenty of counter space. I liked how they provided multiple towels instead of the standard two per person. The shower head was really high up and not adjustable and was one of the ones that when the water comes out it gets everything wet but doesn't clean anything. No hooks on the back of the door but on the wall. Kind of liked that concept however they were right next to the toilet. Beds were comfortable. No closet but an armoire, which if you really had 2-4 people in the room, no way you'd fit everyone's hanging clothing in there. Not entirely quiet as you can hear doors slamming and can hear the people in the room next to you but beyond these expected hotel sounds, it was otherwise quiet - no outside traffic, etc. Free wi-fi. Nice lobby area. Complimentary fruit and tea and hot chocolate. There are four computer terminals and a printer where you can check email and print out your boarding pass. Had dinner in the restaurant. Food was decent but on the pricier side. The continental breakfast wasn't too bad but I had mine comped since I was with a Diamond member. Eggs, omelettes, sausage, bacon, oatmeal, yogurt, cereal, whole fruit, muffins and toast, and juice. There are a ton of strip malls within a short distance, many walkable, with restaurants and shops. read more

It's located in a suburban landscape next to a clean and quiet shopping center; includes Target, Regal Cinema, Bob Evans and Starbucks. Amenities include a small indoor pool and fitness center. Also free and reliable wi-fi. We slept in a couple of times and never encountered an early knock for housekeeping. I'm not even sure we saw housekeepers ever, yet the room was thoroughly cleaned when we returned each evening (and with 3 small kids, our room was wrecked). Clean towels, sheets and sparking tub each time. I would recommend this Doubletree to anyone, especially those with kids. Plenty of retail in walking distance to get food, travel supplies and your coffee fix. *Special mention to Krishana at the front desk who greeted every guest with warmth and a lovely smile. The check in crew was awesome- so friendly and polite! We found the bed freshly made with dirty sheets twice during our stay - the first time - it was on Christmas Day so they didn't have staff to help us out - but the second time as soon as we called housekeeping - they came up and re- made the bed with fresh, clean sheets! My visit to this location was great. I was able to check in via mobile and used the same to access my room. This was a very brief stay as I arrived late and had an early meeting the next morning. However, I was more pleased​ to have a card on the table instructing me that could stop by the front desk to pick up my cookies. Once I did that, I ended up eating them both! The cookies were both warm and delicious! No disappointment​ here. My room was very well cleaned and exceeded my expectations. It was quiet and I actually slept like a baby which I rarely do in hotels. Initially, I thought it would be loud as my room overlooked the parking area between two hotels but once I pulled down the window shade, it was dark in the room. The shade is much nicer touch than trying to keep the drapes closed to keep out the light. Again, this location exceeded every expectation and I will​ definitely stay here the next time I am in Raleigh. read more

They tended to our every needs without question or hesitation....we had trouble with the room phone (it was resolved...they even offered to have our room changed...wasn't necessary, but the offer was truly appreciated....they even comped our desserts at dinner), one room key failed (it was rectified immediately). Check in process Sunday June 7 as soon as walk in at the front desk the receptionist never gave a welcome smile or a friendly approach, he may had a bad day it happens. What is really bad is the way he managed my reservation I had book it by 3rd party, so some how my reservation was changed and he was like not taking the time to help me out, but after 10 mins he got on the phone and was trying to find me, I was on my side calling the website I had use to reserve my room. So lack of attention or maybe he was not train to manage this situations so after 30 or forty long minutes got a room. went down to grab a bite at the bar because that is not a restaurant, bar tender as usual very nice and attentive, I ask for a soup and she told me you shouldn't eat a soup here, get something else, so I ordered a chicken quesadilla, full or veggies few chicken and on top of that I got a hot wine in a huge warm glass, bartender didn't know that glass for white can not be warm? and must be served in a small white glass to keep the wine cold? 2 more things quesadilla burn and served with caned salsa awful, and the bartender had no pony tail her hair was loose so I end up with one long brown hair in my plate not herl fault is lack of management. read more
