We were assigned to this hotel for a soccer tournament that my daughter had to attend in nearby Midlothian. As Hilton members were used to some of the perks that come with diamond member status and we were still able to have those based on booking with our group block. That was a total plus! The lobby for big events like this is hopping with energy and people visiting the bar area or the breakfast area. The open air pool is super convenient for the teams who need to relax after a long day playing on the turf. The rooms are perfect for two people. Any more than that would have been cramped in the double beds but they were super cozy and comfortable. I thought the water smelled a little bit musty, but there was lots of counter space for all of the cosmetics and jewelry my daughter brings with her. We got new fresh towels everyday and our beds were made up nice and cozy for when we crashed after a long day. I had a mischarge on my bill that I noticed upon checking out and the woman at the reception desk was super helpful in getting that charge expunged from my bill. I also had bought ice cream for all of the team and the people behind the desk were nice enough to keep it for us in their freezer facility so we wouldn't have to waste it. I don't know if we'll ever be back at this hotel, but for the time being and the four nights we stayed here it was perfect. read more

Conference Center Review: I attended the Richmond Tattoo Festival here and must admit, it was pretty well set up. Although there were a lot of people, the tickets were sold in waves so it didn't feel too crowded. Restrooms were kept clean, hotel staff were on site to make sure all was going smoothly, and the event organizers and team did a good job to keep people safe. I really appreciate the golf cart that took us to and from the furthest car parks right up to the event site. read more

Let me begin with I repeatedly pushed aside this option based on the photos of multicolored rooms in reviews found online and 3rd party apps. After a long day and an extra hour in the airport after landing, I rolled the dice. 3 nights and I have little to complain about. I think the biggest issue was the hotel is under construction. I believe is scheduled to wrap up by mid December. So the large community/lobby space is out and one elevator. Changes are throughout but those were the two I most encountered. Thankfully, the gym and pool were both back up and running upon our arrival. Room - Overall, great space and size for two. The small sofa provides the extra seating along with the standard desk. Clean and comfy. The fridge FROZE everything. Salad, fries, apples lol even a cup of tea so perhaps test before you lose something you might want to enjoy later. Bed, bath and BEYOND. Super comfortable. I could get lost in the pillows and the temperature and pressure of the shower had me ready to move in. The downside- Due to the area, you really need a car. Easily $40-60 ride from the airport and Uber rides for the local businesses were surprisingly over expensive. Simple example, breakfast spot 4 min ride = $10 or more. To our surprise there is a local bus (free) that goes down the main strip and stops near the hotel. Very good choice. The staff such as Lucky at front desk were very friendly and accommodating. Horrible experience. I have been a Hilton Honors member for a long time and as a result of this experience, will never stay at a Doubletree again. First it was the scam parking racket for $10 a night plus the 1.99 service fee for a third party company for a parking lot that is owned by the hotel. Youd figure parking was included in the $190 a night fee? Nope. Then, the AC didn't work in the lobby and the waitress at the restaurant told be it hadn't been working for a year....Maybe take some of the parking extortion money they collect and put it towards AC repair. Finally, I didn't even get my rewards points added as I billed through a third party site. That's because its cheaper than booking through the Hilton Honors program. Almost $200 a night? I was there for a conference and required a handicap accessible room with a shower. The room I received had a tub. The hotel was full so there was no opportunity to change rooms. Elliott and Thomas created an workable option for me and procured a tub transfer chair I could use in my room. Morgan was also super helpful in providing extra towels and wonderful customer service. The lowdown: This hotel is undergoing renovations and had no heat in the lobby area, the indoor pool wasn't working, only one elevator was running and there was no place for congregation during a weekend that there was a field hockey tournament with this being the hotel where almost all the girls, coaches, recruit coaches from colleges and umpires/ referees were staying. The restaurant/ bar in the hotel did not allow anyone under 21 in after 9pm and there were no other food options within the hotel. I truly feel that the rooms were very expensive given the amenities available (or should I say that weren't available) during their renovation. customer service at the front desk during this renovation time should have been beyond exceptional (in my opinion) and it was barely adequate. Very disappointed and Double Tree, you need to do better!! Stayed here because my niece had a Field Hockey Tournament in the area and this was the hotel that several stayed at. we checked in on Friday and stayed for 2 nights. The hotel is undergoing renovations so I understand things are in a bit of a disarray at the moment, but it was very cold and there was no heat out in the main lobby areas of the hotel on an extremely cold weekend. The indoor pool was not able to be used and the kids were not allowed in the attached restaurant area after 9pm. (My guess is because it is also a bar). Once you went down to the restaurant area they attempted to charge a cover fee. In disbelief that we would have to pay a cover in order to get in and eat we said "well where in this hotel can we go to eat without paying a cover fee?" The lady at the restaurant/bar stated that if we were staying at the hotel we could go get a "purple pass" from the front desk which would allow her to give us a wrist band to enter for free. So we had to walk back to the front desk and get the pass. Then we were able to enter (without our kids) . Once in there they had only 1 person behind the bar serving drinks and food to all that were down there. She did her best, but I (and several others) had to wait over 20 minutes to place an order and had to wait up at the bar, not at our table. The room was adequate with several towels, wall dispensers for shampoo, conditioner and body wash. The doors are extremely loud when shutting. Overall the room was sufficient but again, for the money and all the other things that were out of order or not available they really need to make people aware and/or lower their prices during this time. It's in a very odd location where we You have no sidewalks and there is no lunch option in the building so if you are without a car, you are screwed. Breakfast is $12 and nothing g spectacular. Even the free ones elsewhere have waffles. This had no waffles or pancakes and no plain cereals (like Rice Krispies or corn flakes) During the stay guests were super loud and there was some staff member who was just standing outside my door - never knocked- not sure what she was doing - for an extended period. I came here for the Richmond Tattoo Convention in October. The hotel is gorgeous overall. There's a nice bar/lounge area in the center of the lobby that's slightly elevated and has charging ports at the table. The overall appearance definitely was well maintained. We had a comfortable stay at the DoubleTree. The bed was comfortable and our room was clean, spacious, quiet and dark. We were able to choose our room ahead of time in the app so that helped things. The toilet took a long time to flush and the shower water pressure was weak. It was also difficult to get the water to turn off in the tub. The franchise is definitely cheaping out by no longer giving out little shampoos, etc. It's hard to justify staying in such an expensive place with so few perks when you can pay a fraction of the price for an Airbnb and get better amenities. read more

Two nights here because my customer's office was not too far away. This is a nice property in the Richmond suburbs. I had a clean and comfortable room that was mostly quiet from noise. I could hear some from neighbors and some from the hallway, but the hotel is set back from the road so there was none of that. Breakfast was good with a buffet set up and you could also order something from the kitchen. The scrambled eggs, sausages and bacon worked well for me though. There are also pastries, yogurts, fresh fruit and bread with a toaster. It's pretty decent, through I'm not sure that it's worth $16 if you're not getting it free due to your HiltonHonors elite status. Disgusting rooms with rude staff. I'm only giving any stars because the 2 individuals who checked me in were great, especially Hailey, but the other staff were awful. It was like they tried to put lipstick on a pig and thought they could full beauty contest judges into thinking it was a super model. First look, lobby is nice. Check in team were great. Room- GROSS. They did try to update it but it was lazy. All of the metal bathroom pieces (shower head, sink) had gross long term rust damage. The wall had weird "clear" like stains on it The head board defn was nasty when I wiped it down THE OUTLET WASNT COMPLETE AND EXPOSED THE INSIDE OF THE WALL (see photo) Not to mention drop ceilings in the bathroom that were so low I had a hard time washing my hair without touching them. I'm 6'2 and nothing about the bathroom is made for anyone over 5'5. Even the sink barely came up past my knee! When we came up from a buisness dinner the bar attendant was very rude in saying she was closed. Snapped it as if we had asked her a million times . It was only around 1030 but okay maybe you had a bad day. Now the the guy at the desk. He worked Weds and Thursday night, claimed his name was Jon but he had so much attitude that he may have been lying to cover his skin. After the bad was closed we went up to ask for a place to drink and he's naming names. I say "so we aren't from here, we are from California and I don't know what those names mean"- he SNAPS BACK "this isn't California we aren't open to 4am". And when I asked his name he grumbled Jon and walked away. He was miserable when I checked in too, but as he didn't check me in it didn't bother me but don't be rude when I ask for more help. Haley pointed us in the right direction after he shuffled back to the back room but I was pretty offended. We weren't drunk, we weren't rude I just asked for more info. Haley deserves a better hotel. She cares about people. But the owners of the hotel have neglected little things that make a huge difference. Replace the rust. Get rid of the stop ceiling and cover up holes. read more

We got the room with a king bed and a sleeper sofa. We called and they brought sheets up for the sleeper sofa within 5 minutes. We got warm cookies and two bottles of water since we are Hilton honor members. It was very easy to check into the room. Parking was terrible. There is a convention going on but there is no specified spots for people who are staying at the hotel versus those who are coming. They said that we could park across the street. read more

I visited this hotel for three days during the course of the 2017 Richmond Tattoo and Arts Festival. I did not stay overnight, but spent many hours in the first and second floor ballroom, the lobby, and on the grounds. It is a decent hotel, but dated, as other reviews have noted. It seems to cater towards events like this convention. The ballrooms are plain but large and clean, there is a bright, open floor plan lobby with lots of seating and a full service bar, and there are an adequate number of hallway restrooms for visitors. I'm not sure that I would book a room here, as it is quite far from any attractions in Richmond and did not seem well sound proofed for hosting large, loud events. I could hear the downstairs noise upstairs and vice versa, and the rock band in the parking lot while inside. But it worked well for visiting the convention, which was a huge success. I feel the need to note that hotel staff should absolutely refrain from discussing their distaste for hosted events in earshot of guests. More than once I heard uniformed employees and management loudly making disparaging and mocking comments about the convention and its attendees. read more

Showed up to a musty moldy smelling room that looks NOTHING like the pictures. Wall paper peeling in bathroom, walked into a new room with either vomit or glue on carpet. Mini fridge froze everything we had within 2 hours and then we noticed the mold on the frame. Went to the pool and got out of pool with a track of hair wrapped around my foot. I was going to get a dry towel and then found fake lashes and beer bottle tops at the indoor pool. I went to get a clean towel, which there was only one folded with red stuff on it. I look next to the rack and there's a pile of underwear laying there. Don't let the beautiful lobby and the cute main bar fool you. It's just gross. read more

Not a great hotel. The pros... staff was friendly, and gym was pretty good for a hotel gym. The hotel is in a good location and in close proximity to restaurants. I liked the lobby area, which had tvs and nice seating. The cons... needs major updating, especially the rooms. The beds are small, and the walls looked like they had several patches from repairs. The bathroom sink counters are low, the lighting is bad, the fan is loud and cannot be turned off, and the shower is weak. This hotel was previously a Holiday Inn and changed over ownership in Spring 2013 to a Hilton property and now is a Doubletree. This is a place that I have had business in at least four times with business in this conference center hotel. It has a dynamite location off of Midlothian and used to be very high occupancy when ever I stayed. On this Friday however when checking in after 10 PM I found the lot to empty and thought this strange. I parked in the back close to the conference rooms and saw four pods for storage. I thought that they must be doing renovations still. This seemed strange 3+ mos after they took over. After discussing this with the staff person on check-out she even said they were less than 30% occupancy, YIKES!!! This really made me wonder what the heck is going on here. The front desk employee was extremely nice and even helped guide me in over the phone when I was lost. I asked if they were still undergoing renovations and she said some on the 6th floor, which ended up being my floor. I said oh, this is what the pods are for, but she said no... this is just hotel storage. Well this is just weird and needs to be changed as the pods are ugly as heck. She also said they were repaving the lot which consolidated many of the cars in front and made it look dead. She gave me all necessary info and an internet access code for FREE WiFi. This without a doubt was the best experience of the stay. The lobby was untouched from my last visit and was always very nice, the biggest asset of the hotel and the one the hotel boast on their website with photos. It has very nice decor with a large flat screen TV. A small bar is within the lobby. It is a great gathering place and I really like it. When getting into the room all appeared fine and housekeeping had set the room up and it was clean. The room came with a small frig/microwave. I quickly noticed an issue with the bedside lamp. It turned on, then went off and I do not believe it was the bulb. I went to turn on the TV and audio only, no video. I called downstairs and a maintenance man came up with in 10 minutes to repair it. He said that housekeeping when cleaning hits wires behind the set and does this often. So I had to scratch my head at the fact they do not put a HK check list to turn the TV on prior to departing the room if it's this frequent. The bed and pillows was the second best thing about the hotel. Great quality mattress/boxsprings with very good quality sheets and pillows. I had a goodnight sleep, so this should not be underscored. They are doing a good job in this area. I called to the front desk for a wake up call before turning in and all was confirmed. In the morning the wake up call was 5 minutes late. The shower had decent pressure, but a pet peeve of mine since tall are shower heads that are too low. Everything in the bathroom worked and was clean, just dated. I made my way down to breakfast and had got their continental version. I am unsure of the cost as I had a FREE tix for work. They also had a hot breakfast too. I asked for the closest restroom and made my way to it. It was in an area of the hotel I had never been close to a evening night club they operate, or possibly out of business... I am unsure. The pics I took say it better than what I could write. It was a mess with towels on the floor, toilet paper and paper towels on the floor and in general a real mess. Just completely inexcusable for any hotel, let alone a Hilton property. I have been in a lot of locker rooms and seen better. Obviously no procedures in place for checking all bathrooms out as this was at least this way from the night before. The meeting room set up was just fine and a lunch that was prepared for us by staff was fine. Service in both areas were not compromised and met expectations. Also public facilities in this area were clean. Bottom line on this stay is overall disappointment. I had thought with a change from Holiday Inn to Hilton the standards and property would be elevated. Instead they have dropped in my estimation. The hotel is still in need of improvements and just seems old and tired and screams update to hallways and rooms. Your first experience with this is the elevator that almost seems like a cargo lift with it dark paneling and outdated floor. The $119 rate is overpriced for the offering. I may be back here and have little choice with scheduled meetings in the future. I would not recommend. read more

Stayed here for 2 nights for a conference. The rooms were clean and spacious. There was a very comfortable couch. They graciously upgraded me to a king size on the 7th floor. That floor is amazing it's so quiet and there's no one to see in the windows or anything it's very private. At check in you're given a small paper bag with a cookie and two bottled waters. The cookies are delicious and the bottled waters are greatly appreciated. The rooms have a desk, a chest of drawers, a refrigerator, microwave, and coffee maker. There's also a hotel safe, ironing board and iron. The bed was sooo incredibly comfortable that it was so hard to get out of every morning for the conference. The sheets are amazingly soft. The only bad thing about the room is that it doesn't come with extra blankets, so I had to turn the heat way, way up so that I could get warm because I was freezing. Now, the bad thing about the hotel is that it does NOT come with breakfast. And if I had known that I probably would have stayed somewhere else, like the Sheraton down the road. Because the breakfasts here are ridiculously expensive. $13 for the typical breakfast buffet that elsewhere would be free. However since you can have a free cookie whenever you want, then that was my breakfast of champions. Very sad that I forgot to get some cookies from my girls on my way home. read more

Ugh this is one of my least favorite Hilton properties to stay. While the major reason to stay here is the proximity to places to eat and the access to the highways, there is little I can say to recommend the property. In fact it is my fourth or fifth stay and it's like they are honestly trying to make each visit worse than the previous one. First there is no whirlpool. Okay not all places have them but it's nice when they do. The other is the people. I've stayed here multiple times and while other Hilton properties comp breakfast regardless of status (and I won't even go into the ridiculous amount of stays you need now for gold), this property will not entertain it. Btw this is a more expensive property than others. I also ended up parking some distance away because of some event Most properties have special parking for Hilton honor members. So it's always fun to have to hit your rescue inhaler taking your stuff up to the room. Finally I got a little miffed at the front desk guy after he took my credit card and license, he decided to wait on other guests while he had my card and ID. That just drives me crazy. I travel a lot and having just been treated outstanding in Knoxville at another Hilton property, the contrast is amazing. I'm thinking I'll probably just stay somewhere else next time. Update - I talked to a manager when I checked out today about the experience and they did add Hilton honors points to my account and apologized. That was appreciated. Was there for a conference. Arrived shortly after check-in. Lines where extremely long as there weren't hardly any rooms were ready, supposedly due to either cleaning staff quit or called out. The front staff just simply didn't know how to handle it. There was one front desk person ( with a little arm brace) who was the rudest woman ever! Cursing at anyone who'd listen and to the corporate rep one guest called while in line. How she still has a job, no one knows. Doubletree knew well in advance of the traffic that was going to happen yet was very, very unprepared. 2 of my sisters had to make a trip to store for cleaning products as they were told to clean their own rooms. A good majority of guests waited no less than 6 hours for a room. I will NEVER stay or recommend this hotel to my worst enemy. Shame on you Hilton for allowing an incompetent person franchise and crap on your name read more

I have come here often over the last 9 or so years for meetings/conferences. I do think since it's switched from Holiday Inn to DoubleTree, it seems improved. Many of the staff are the same and have been great to work with, especially when you need last-minute accommodations. We had requested AV for a room that we only got partially set up. When I brought it to their attention, they took care of it quickly. Not sure who dropped the ball, but everything was ultimately taken care of on time. If I could provide no stars I would. I am not one to complain but the experience was SO BAD I have to warn others. My friend got a room block for her wedding and reserved a room for the bridesmaids and her the night before the wedding. We showed up, they did not have a room, we were told "oh well". She paid for the room weeks before the date. Then ID was thrown at us and we were told "there is nothing I can do for you. Leave.". Asked for a manager wad told there wasn't won't. Asked for a refund was told the manager approved a different room for us to stay in after leaving and booking a room elsewhere. The BRIDE brought them in at least 20 rooms for the weekend and was told to get out. The next day I booked 2 rooms to stay in after the wedding. They were dirty, missing cups, no coffee, no trash can even... between being thrown out the night before with the bride after paying for the room and the experience the next day I WILL NEVER reccomended this hotel and even support negatively telling people to avoid it. First off, this is an older hotel. However, I thought t recently underwent a 'renovation'...If that is the case then I am scared to have seen it before! Spent a good amount of time here for a work related function. We spent time in the actual rooms, the restaurant, and many conference rooms. Almost all of us began to get sore throats and just felt congested while being there. Our guess is it was in the carpets - they looked sticky and gross. The hotel restaurant was almost always empty - that's typically a sign for me to stay clear. I went against my better judgement and ate with a group of fellow co-workers. JUST NO. Everything was cold and just grossed me out. Rubbery chicken breast with zero seasoning and brown lettuce. There are a couple good things about the hotel if you absolutely must stay here: the cookies and the orange water in the front lobby. Enjoy your stay! (Seriously doubt you will though!) read more

Decent hotel, though fraught with what come across as management problems. Holding a local tattoo festivals is not a problem, failing to control the raucous behavior, smoking, noise, and loud music all night is a management problem. Changing over locks is not a problem, failing to adequately notify guests when they're back to their room at night and locked out is a problem. Giving out gift bags for those in a wedding block is nice, not giving them to everyone is a management problem. The hotel also has very thin walls between rooms with a shared door, so be ready. We asked for extra T.P. and shampoo that were never delivered. Rooms were in OK shape, but maintained less than I expected from a Doubletree. Adequate food in the onsite restaurant, which was convenient, and restaurant staff were pretty good. Nice lobby plus good restaurant staff upped this to 2 stars. read more

Dated hotel but other choice, upon initial review, had bad reviews, and to be honest my tendency is to stay with the Hilton brand when there's other competitor hotel chain as the Marriot or courtyard...service staff was pleasant as one would expect. Breakfast, which we added into the price for the hotel stay was okay. Okay, in the sense that the biscuit snd gravy saved the day for it's the only one that was edible in the variety, which included sausage, bacon, scrambled eggs - all over salted, and I did not care for the potatoes and that seemingly two-day old hard croissants(where was the fluff). The next day I ordered an omelet and the eggs was good except it was smothered by overfilled assortments that i picked, i.e., tomatoes, gteen pepper and spinach-proportion was off. I think it was an attempt to make the omelet bigger than it should, i can only chew too much. After awhile, my jaw hurts! Hot cookies were irresistible as always but not enough to temp me to a higher rating for this Hilton brand can do better with all that space... read more

My parents stayed here from 10/20 - 10/22/16, while attending a family wedding. There were no safes in the room, so no way to secure valuables. My mother had all of her cash in a white bank envelope in her purse, which she kept with her at all times, except for one short period when my parents went down to breakfast. During this time, both maintenance and housekeeping accessed their room. My parents checked out and drove to Hilton Head to continue their vacation. Once they arrived in Hilton Head, my mother realized that the bank envelope was still in her purse, but someone had stolen $500 from the envelope. (Note, that the individual who stole from them was smart enough to leave the envelope so that the theft wasn't immediately noticeable. This suggests to me that this is not the first time they've stolen from a guest.) My father immediately contacted the hotel, and was told he needed to speak to housekeeping. He was transferred to a voice mailbox and left a detailed message, but didn't receive a call back. He called again, and asked the front desk clerk to put him in touch with the hotel manager. The clerk advised him he needed to speak to the manager of housekeeping and put him on hold. She came back and said she'd spoken to the hotel manager and that he should file a police report. The front desk clerk than promptly hung up on him. I cannot believe how poorly the hotel handled this situation. If you're not going to provide safes for your guests to secure their belongings, than at the very least, you should have a system in place to deal with unfortunate situations such as these. My father has since filed a police report and we will pursue all available legal remedies to recover the $500 that was stolen. Went to the Doubletree hotel to listen to tue band INSIDE Out. They were awesome. Athe club was packed, the drinks were straight and everyone was enjoying themselves. INSIDE OUT is definitely a band you want to cone see where ever they are. VISIONS inside the Doubletree is great atmosphere for dancing and partying. read more

Booked this hotel because my meetings were here. Other folks have said that the property is clean but dated. I would agree. However, the guest rooms (at least mine of the 8th floor) have been redecorated and are very nice. It is quite and the digital key to get into your room is a nice little bonus. The gym is small but adequate. It's hot and sticky, but hey...it's a gym! The food is decent. You can eat dinner in the restaurant or at the bar. I arrived on Sunday afternoon late and I was the only one in the bar. Paul is an excellent bar tender - kudos! Great place to stay! read more

I love the location. Super convenient to shopping, a great gym (Anytime Fitness), coffee, restaurants, just about everything. The employees I interacted with were all friendly and my room was reasonably priced. As a single female business traveler though (200+ days/year), I really did not like the atmosphere around the hotel. There is a lounge at the hotel. That's fine. However, as I came and went several times this evening, there were always a group or two of men just standing around outside smoking. Again, that's fine. However, the cat-calls and whistles every time I tried to walk into the hotel was not exactly what I expect. I didn't feel like I was "in danger" but I didn't like it. It made me uncomfortable and I really would not stay here again. read more

I stayed here overnight on business last week and would never do so again. I booked my reservation through a third party, which the hotel ignored and somehow overwrote, charging my credit card again for the full amount of the room. When I called they realized their error immediately. I received a call later that night from the Revenue Manager that it had all been sorted out and the charge refunded. Two full business days later, there is not even a pending reversal of the charge, and trying to call this hotel is a nightmare - the phone will ring 40+ times and then simply disconnect you. I'm disgusted by the level of service and disregard for customers and would never recommend this place to anyone. I will be filing a chargeback dispute against this merchant with my credit card company. read more

Stayed at the Doubletree three nights over Thanksgiving, 2015. To start with, the staff was excellent - friendly and helpful. You could not walk through the lobby without a cheerful hello and someone asking if you needed anything. My staff score would have been 5 stars. The room was OK - nothing that stands out or would wow anyone. It was actually a little small, but not bad. The hotel advertised free wifi but it was unusable. If you are going to offer this, please make sure that you have the capacity for people to get on. I would have preferred to pay for it if it would have actually worked. I did eat the buffet breakfast one day. It was just ok, but certainly not worth the money - way too expensive for what you get. I actually prefer the "free" breakfast at lower-end hotels. I wouldn't say it was a bad experience, but I have had better. read more

I booked this hotel because the bride & groom recommended staying there due to it's proximity to the wedding venue. However, I had a simply awful stay. Below are the reasons why: 1- I checked in and they sent me to a dark corner room that smelled awful. I came back downstairs to complain, they gave me a bit of a hard time but ended up giving me a different room. The room still wasn't completely clean, as there was toilet paper in the toilet and things in the trash can. I just dealt with it and cleaned most of the surfaces with clorox wipes. ( I travel a lot for business, so I never go anywhere without clorox wipes) 2. The 2nd day/night I had no water from 9am-5pm, luckily the bride hosted most things for the bridal party at her house. When I returned, I had to park quite far from the lobby due to the parking lot being packed. There were groups of people hanging out in front of the hotel that were quite intimidating. When I walked into the lobby, it was chaos. I went to my room and I could hear screaming until 11:00 at night from the pool then after 11 it was just noisy from the halls. I tried to call to the lobby but no one answered the phone. I ended up just plugging my ears with in flight earplugs and went to sleep. 3. The 3rd day/night, I came back to my hotel room from the rehearsal in the afternoon to find my room had been picked up but not cleaned. The sheets weren't changed, the coverlet wasn't changed, the bathroom wasn't clean, and not all the towels were replaced. I leave again after prepping for the wedding and then when I return I once again have to park extremely far from the hotel, near the back. The lobby was full of children running around screaming and the elevators were disgusting with food and candy everywhere. I get back to my room and the noise from the pool was deafening and the hall sounded like it was a party. Once again, I call downstairs and no answer. :( The morning that I checked out, I advised the front desk person that I had a terrible experience and the noise was absurd. I told her that no one answered the phones and how disappointed I was as a Hilton Rewards member. She said she was sorry but that they had a lot of groups booked. However, they didn't offer to discount my room, give me a night for free or even offer to add points to my account. Awful stay. Awful Customer Service. Awful. Positives: The location is very convenient. The room was a nice size. The wifi was included with the room fee. read more

We were here for a two night stay. When we first arrived at our room, we noticed there was a room service plate next to our door. We are now at the end of our second day here and the tray is still sitting there. We hope ants don't arrive soon. Our room was not cleaned today. We were at breakfast from about 9:15 to 10:00 this morning and had left a do not disturb sign on our door. We removed it at or before 10:00. When we returned to the room at 5:00 the room had not been touched. I called the desk and was told that was because of a do not disturb sign. I said that the sign had been removed by 10:00 and was told that housekeeping didn't come to our section of the hotel before 11:00. Not only was the room not cleaned but they lied about it. We asked for the coffee supplies to be replenished before we went to dinner. We returned 2 hours later and no coffee. I called the desk again and they did bring up extra coffee. I give one star only because they lied about why the room was not cleaned. read more

Been having an annual event for 5 yrs since it was holiday inn and the Double tree every year does something to mess up. They had my ballroom and vendor set up wrong even having a diagram on file. They smoked out my VIP room in the York room with the pasta station. Guest left coughing perfusly. Only after complaining the very next day after my event they called in the evening to say a wall was damaged. They had an event before and after mine but has no proof it was mine but blamed me. After requesting 50% back they deducted $550 from it to replace new vinyl. Beware the turnover rate of employees changes every few months and the are unprofessional and will NEVER apologize for their wrong doing. I will NEVER book an event again. They just lost an annual customer. They don't even deserve 1 star for how i was treated. read more
