    Tea setting

Came for the afternoon high tea. The special diet choices are many which we really appreciated as one in our party is Lactose intolerant. Everything was delicious especially the chicken salad sandwiches, scones, and lemon tarts! Service was stellar. Only complaint was you only get one kind of tea for the whole experience and it wasn't in a pretty tea pot which I would have expected in a high end setting like the Jefferson Hotel.

Centrally located in downtown Richmond. The hotel is beautiful. Grand architecture, elegant décor, and a historic feel that stands out the moment you walk in. Rooms are spacious and clean. The staff were all friendly and professional Valet or self parking lot.

We had chocolate tea at the Jefferson to celebrate my daughter's birthday. The hotel is central located in the beautiful historic district. The stairwell and features of the hotel are just beautiful. The tea featured a variety of desserts and finger sandwiches. They were just ok. I felt as if alot of the desserts were store bought. The real star of the show was the torte they brought out for my daughters birthday. Exceptional! Their Richmond blend tea is also to die for! Our waitress, Elise was excellent. Very knowledgeable and sweet, helping make this a perfect girl's day out.

Champagne Brunch at The Jefferson Hotel We celebrated our wedding at The Jefferson Hotel's champagne brunch, and it was absolutely perfect! From the moment we walked in, the service was exceptional--warm, attentive, and truly worthy of a special occasion. The brunch selection is incredible. There's something for everyone: a made-to-order omelet station, a carving station with perfectly cooked meats, a waffle station that smelled heavenly, and even an ice cream station that brought out our inner kids. Every dish we tried was delicious, fresh, and beautifully presented. And the desserts... simply amazing! The variety and quality made it hard to choose just one, so of course we had several. If you're looking for a memorable way to celebrate a milestone--or just want to treat yourself--this champagne brunch is a must. We left full, happy, and already planning our next visit!

My mom was visiting from out of town so I booked us for afternoon tea at the Jefferson. It was such a fun and unique experience! The hotel is so beautiful and rich in history. Definitely lots of photo ops and of course we loved the tea and pastries. The Richmond Tea Blend was our fav - we ended up buying 4 containers for home from the gift shop. The experience was $45 plus gratuity for 2 hrs which also included complimentary parking (hotel will validate). If you're looking for something unique to do in Richmond, this is it!

A beautiful lobby! Came in here to take some pictures after our elopement, this has to be one of the most beautiful hotels I've ever seen. The staff was SO kind, giving us well-wishes and congratulations. If we stay in Richmond in the future, this is where we will book. The staff were just so kind!

Champagne Brunch at the Jefferson Hotel This is a wonderful way to spend a Sunday Morning / Afternoon. The hotel is extremely elegant and they fill the room with colorful floral displays. They food was excellent with a wide variety of options. Something for everyone with traditional breakfast items, omelet station, made to order pancakes, savory stations with carved beef and ham, salads, and many hot entrees. The dessert options were wonderful and made in miniature sizes so you do not feel guilty filling your plate with many options. All of the staff were attentive and friendly. This is a great choice for a special occasion.

Another beautiful brunch!!! We had a wonderful experience at the Father's Day Sunday Champagne Brunch. Every single team member was so kind and helpful. Our waitstaff was especially attentive and made sure that our drinks stayed topped off. All of the food was fresh and perfectly cooked. We enjoyed the wide variety of food offered. We'll be back!

Beautiful place. Not a great tea experience. I've had tea here before and the food and experience was good. Yeah at $62 per person with fees it's expensive but it's a treat and you could count on decent food. This time wasn't the case. My friend got the vegetarian option and I did the regular service. Shamefully The Jefferson included a peanut butter and jelly sandwich for the vegetarian option. Come on! Be more creative! That is just downright embarrassing for The Jefferson. I got the standard service and it was fine. The ham sandwich had a whisper of ham on it. Portions were way off. After this experience I think I'll try some different places to have tea. I heard the VMFA has a really nice afternoon tea so I'll definitely check that out.

I stayed at the Jefferson Hotel for a quick weekday trip. It is the epitome of 5 star hotel. It is beautiful inside and out. I ordered room service for breakfast and lunch. The pancakes were perfect! The chicken tenders for lunch were the best ever. The staff is super polite. Even though it is in the heart of Richmond, they even had their own parking lot. 10000000/10 recommend.

They have a lot next door, and validate parking even at the bar!

Is there a dress code for the Sunday brunch?

It is a very nice place--and I always dress up to attend this brunch, but I feel like I should, given this is a luxury hotel. You see almost everything--but jeans and tank tops are pretty much not in appearance, from what I saw. I think that's a…

I used to live in the Fan/Museum District, and I love this place because it is in such a good location, right next to the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts (which I highly recommend as well!), as well as walking distance to shops and restaurants in Carytown, the Fan, etc. We stayed in the carriage house the first time and the house itself the second time. Both were very cozy, with lots of amenities, such as bathrobes, bottled water, and coffee pot/tea in the room. The breakfast in the morning is phenomenal. It is made to order, with eggs, bacon, various rolls, oatmeal, coffee, etc. and served in the house's dining room. The staff is absolutely lovely and so welcoming. Another added bonus is that they provide tickets for admission to the special exhibit at the VMFA, as well as passes to get a free drink in their cafeteria. Love, love, LOVE this place. Highly recommend!

It's within walking distance of Richmond's greatest museums as well as the popular Carytown neighborhood where we spent much of our visit. When we arrived, Sean and Polly weren't at home, but we were provided with an access code to get in to the guest rooms. We were absolutely floored when we walked in. The One only has two guest rooms, which makes it the perfect place for privacy. Our room, The Dream Suite, is located at the top of the stairs and is beautifully decorated in shades of deep red. My only very minor gripe is that the bathrooms are no located "en suite." Instead, they are directly outside the rooms. So while each bedroom does have its own bathroom, you do need to leave your room to get to it. Not a huge deal since there are only two guest rooms...but you can't traipse to the bathroom naked at 2am, either! The parlor is located across the hall from the guest rooms and is not only a comfortable lounge spot, but is also stocked full of snacks and beverages. This is also where continental breakfast is served in the morning. The spread is pretty standard- muffins, bagels, cereal, etc. It didn't particularly suit my fancy (way too carb-heavy), but it's the type of breakfast my boyfriend loves. Sean and Polly were fantastic hosts; very attentive and friendly. Honestly, they were the best B&B owners I have ever interacted with. You can tell that they truly love what they do. We can't wait to go back to Richmond to spend another night at The One. Thanks to Polly and Sean for a great stay!
