We originally booked the Presidential Suite, which was the entire reason we chose this hotel. Unfortunately, the room had an overwhelming gas/sewer-like smell. I am not exaggerating when I say it was so strong that my wife, my youngest child, and I began feeling sick. Maintenance attributed the issue to the roof and the storm. Their initial solution was to pour something down the drain and tell us to give it time. We then spent roughly four hours after check-in waiting for a solution before finally being moved around 11 PM. The replacement room was significantly smaller. We were told we were receiving "$30 off" our nightly rate, but in reality we were simply charged the standard rate for the smaller room and given free breakfast. We specifically booked this hotel for the Presidential Suite and would not have paid the rate we did for the room we ultimately received. What made it worse was the staff's lack of concern. There was little urgency and no meaningful apology. If the hotel's nicest room develops an odor severe enough to make guests sick whenever it rains, that is a serious problem. Easily the worst experience I have had at a Hilton. I would not recommend this hotel. read more

I am sorry for hotels dot com but I have to disagree with them, this is not a 3.5 star hotel. I am glad I brought flip flops to get into the filthy shower and I don't blame housekeeper. We stayed April 1st for the launch. The lobby was nice, but everything from the elevator up was dated. The room was decent, the bathroom was old and the shower was either scolding hot or cold no in between. The only way to adjust the temperature was to turn off the shower and turn it back on. The hand towel had a black curly pube hair on it. The AC blew cold then shut off and got hot, repeated this process all night. So cold at first then wake up in a sweat. The beds were okay, but not as comfortable as you would expect at a Hilton property. We reported our issues to the front desk, they were nice but there were no other rooms available. Would not recommend to anyone staying in the Melbourne area. 1 Star only because the lobby was nice and the restaurant was decent. read more

While I admit that this hotel is dated and worn, the staff is second to none. Maya at the front desk was second to none. Her energy was top notch as washer kindness. And Chelsea in the restaurant was pleasant. The rest of the staff was great. I didnt catch their name, but I had to interact with what I assume is the maintenance lead and he was super. This was my second visit to Melbourne Hilton. I prefer it because it is only one mile from the Airport where I come to work. The Rooms are clean. No issues with Cleanliness. A storm came thru and blew the outside furniture pillows into the pools outside. They were still there in the morning. I checked in at 3pm. Bar was not open until 430 pm. I ordered Fish and chips for dinner. I thought they gave me a plate of the battered fish you can buy in the frozen section at the grocery store. Also ordered a Cuban Sandwich. Not even close to what a Cuban sandwich should look or taste like. It was edible. I checked out early. About 3 am in the morning. There was no coffee made. I asked the guy at the desk, and he just mumbled a no. If he had any professional aptitude he would have offered to make a pot. I stay in Hiltons all over to include Europe. Rooms need updated, room and hallways had a musty/old/mildew smell. Tv did not work, kept freezing, front desk said network issue, had drinks/appetizers at cloud 9, drinks were strong, food took a long time. Santorini flat bread was not great. Hilton needs to update this location. read more

My husband and I recently had a very nice stay at the Hilton Melbourne. We booked a room here because I had a surgical procedure in the area for early the next morning. During check-in, the friendly employee asked what brought us to town and I explained about my surgery. In response, she offered us a late check-out which was so incredibly sweet and helpful! The late check-out really helped us so that we didn't have to rush before heading back home. I'm was...and still am...so grateful to that thoughtful young woman. I wish I would've gotten her name! We also had a nice experience at the bar, where I had tempura portabella mushrooms (with a tasty, spicy dipping sauce), a salad, and a creme brûlée. Stay somewhere else. We were a large group in town for the Artemis Launch. I was not too keen on the cleanliness of the rooms. The room is always cleaner when I leave than I found it. I Lysol everything and wipe down all the touch surfaces and toilet. If I wipe and there is residue, not a good sign. The sinks had residue also. Like I said, not the cleanest hotel I've stayed in. And I love Hilton properties. They are my preferred property when traveling. Hampton Inn, specifically. Now, this was not my room. It was someone in my party. She woke up feeling like something was crawling on her. Yep. You guessed it. Bedbugs. She found a total of four and they are pretty good sized. I'm not an entomologist, but these might be adults. What I mean is, they were big. She gathered her things and went to the front desk and they changed her room. She inspected that one. Looked ok. Back to bed. The next morning, upon check out, she complained, of course. The front desk staff compensated her with enough rewards points for another night free. So, I will NEVER EVER. EVER. EVER. Stay at this property again. I am well aware that bedbugs can happen anywhere, especially, with folks coming & going. But they are the international sign for uncleanliness. Great hotel if you need to stay a night or two for work. The front desk is super responsive and helpful with rides, storage, and ease of everything. Sherry overnight and Gary I think during the day were AMAZING. Cliff drove me everywhere I needed to go that was within a few miles and it was all free. They all share information and made things as easy and comfortable me as possible. There's a restaurant and Starbucks. Gym was great too, everything you need for a little workout. Very reasonably priced too. After visiting Paris, what a relief to be at Hilton melbourne! read more

This did not feel like a beach resort, rather like a discount hotel. The facility appears rundown and is in need of much maintenance. The air conditioner in our room would increase each night to 77-78 degrees without manual intervention. The wall in the bathroom was crumbling. The bath caulking was in need of replacement since the mold is taking over. Outside past the Tiki Bar the doors were rusted out and need to be replaced. We saw a rat run along the wall there and enter the building through the rusted doors. The couping on the roof line is missing in several places. The windows in our room permitted the sounds from the street to wake us up, and we were on the highest floor. The tables in the shade area needed to be power washed and then resealed. The towels in the room were not resort quality, and only two towels were available. The only highlight was the staff, from Destiny at the front desk to Eric in the Tiki Bar. I recommend this property for business or leisure stays. The hotel has a lot of self park parking for around $7 per night. The front desk staff are nice and accommodating. The hotel has a bar and a restaurant onsite. There is a gym. They also have a Starbucks counter. The executive floor is nice and some rooms have balconies. The executive floor has a business center/conference room. My stay was pleasant and relaxing. The halls were not noisy which was greatly appreciated for my rest. My balcony was nice with a patio set perfect for sitting out and getting some quiet work done in the fresh air. The room had a mini fridge and microwave and desk area. The restaurant serves breakfast 6am-10am and there is a breakfast buffet. The restaurant and bar are poppin during happy hour after work. Also the hotel is not far from the airport. If in Melbourne, FL I recommend that you stay here. read more

Disappointing... I was surprised that Hilton is allowing this property to carry its name. The 3 most disappointing things were: 1. The sink was clogged when we arrived. Although maintenance quickly arrived and attempted to clear it, the sink remained slow to drain for our entire stay. Also, the sink handles wouldn't properly turn off the water for the entire time of our visit. 2. The allergens in the room were overwhelming; I'm unsure if it was dirty carpeting, unfiltered air conditioning, or something else, but we both were severely impacted by the mustiness - we both had allergy reactions. 3. The most disturbing was the front desk customer service (I believe it was the assistant manager). When asked for a late check out at 2pm, we were dismissed (he was rude) as he offered a 1pm checkout with an additional $25 per hour fee. When we reminded him of our "gold" status he did not change his response. We won't be staying at this property again and I hope that Hilton corporate reviews their partnership with this property. read more

I stayed this past weekend for a work event & Dakota took care of me at the bar the entire weekend , he made me the best expresso martini's & many refreshing drinks this weekend he definitely made my stay so much more welcoming then previous stays ! Very disappointed in this hotel. Got to our room, placed next to a screaming couple with a young child loudly crying. We waited 30 minutes and they just got louder!!! So we went down and asked for another room. They placed us on the 8th floor right next to party central. So far two hours and the party is just starting (more and more people arriving). We asked if we could please have another room so we could sleep and they refused. Supposedly sent security up since it is "quiet time". Nothing has changed, the party is still going strong. We had to both go down again with a recording of the noise from our room (of the party) and also stated that they banged on our door after security went up to ask them to keep the noise level down. Honestly I was ready to take the blankets, pillow and mattress and sleep in the lobby at that point. It was then that they decided to move us again. Unpacking and having to repack twice was a major PIA. Appreciate the room upgrade to a balcony room but it doesn't make up for the three last hours of sleep or the aggravation. After two different occasions staying in lackluster Hilton brand hotels. We may have to go with another chain of hotels. I did something REALLY stupid and this hotel saved the day. When rushing out because my work called (pilot) I left a LOT of valuables in my room safe. I'm talking all the staples...electronics, expensive watch, wallet, keys, LOTS of cash, sunglasses etc. Not only did the front desk staff immediately secure all my objects, they packaged them all in individually packed bubble wrap, boxed my items and shipped them to me next day air. They even called me multiple times with updates including texting me a tracking number. An absolutely picture perfect staff and management experience. When we got there they gave us "fake" keys for the children we were with so they could feel special that they had their own key. The room was super comfortable and the gym made me super happy. Hotel room was well appointed with a fridge, tea/coffee service, ice bucket, & microwave. It had numerous USB outlets available. My room had two queen beds, but I would have been happy with only one. I would like to make some comments about my stay, I book a hotel room 315 from Wednesday to Thursday , October 4th to check out on Thursday 5th, this is the only hotel that I would love to stay in Hilton is my priority never had any issues before, but I would like to mention i made a mistake of leaving or forgetting my necessary bag with lots of stuff on it, I left around 8 o'clock in the morning to go to work and I remember I left my necessity bag and I called the hotel before I check out they say they were going to put it away and I promise to return the next day to get it. I'll find out I was missing my perfume my shaving knifes some facial creams, and the most important was a ring that my wife gave to me I believe on good people, and I always honor the good people. I never put a complain, always gratitude and complement to people, but this time Hilton Melbourne made a mistake or higher in this lady, because she's not honest hope Hilton understand and look more into it I would love to hear Back from the manager of what she says about what she found on the room. I remember I pack it and I just went down for breakfast and came back to the room and I grab my bag and I totally forgot about my necessity bag Hilton, please ensure you have a good personnel and honest, I learned my lesson of double checking the room before I leave. Very nice Hilton property in Melbourne. Relatively close to the airport, but very quiet. Spent one night here for work and my stay was great. Staff was very friendly at check in/out and seemed genuinely concerned with guests needs. The lady in front of me said something about the bed just in passing and the CSM overheard and immediately comp'd her 5k Hilton points. Tempted to say the same, but I slept great....my conscience is like Jiminy Cricket on my shoulder. My room was clean and well kept, the hotel bar was nice and my breakfast ath the restaurant was very good. To be honest, the whole property is well kept and maintained. I also used the exec lounge on the 8th floor (comes with HH Diamond staus....I'm kind of a big deal). The lounge attendant was very friendly and it was well stocked with a few hot items, snacks and sodas/beer/wine/water. I read some of the other reviews, and to be fair, the property has been here a while, but my experience was nothing short of great. Hotel has misleading advertising. It smells like mold is present. I turned off my air conditioner to avoid getting sick. Toilet is sluggish. Rooms are big but dated. When I booked asked if they had a shuttle to get me to Port Canaveral. Once here they said no and pointed me to a service that charged $150! Lastly advertised as if I were close to a beach....Nope. Not close to anything. Don't stay here keep going ....maybe Coco Beach or Port Canaveral proper. Hilton You Can Do Better! read more

But the food in the restaurant is not good anymore - neither of the options/ and the lobby restaurant area is kept so cold you can't eat there, and there are no amenities in the room except soap. Reception was VERY friendly and helpful. Exactly how you want to be greeted. There was hand sanitizer in the lobby and notice not to share the elevators. Rooms were cleaned and sealed so i'm happy with that. The room itself was clean however the toilet seat was really old and needs to be replaced. We got good coffee and a fridge. We got in around 6pm to check in and our room still wasn't ready. We had to wait in the lobby for a bit before we got our keys. The lobby is ok. Fairly nice decor. The front and back windows are streaked, cloudy and dingy which should have been our first clue as to the condition of the room. This place seems old, grout cracking or missing, dated finishes merged with some newer more modern touches. The bathroom vanity is beat to hell, moldings gouged and flecking paint. Not impressed. Especially for the price of the room. I expect more from Hilton. Beds were comfy like Hilton often is. Won't be looking to return to this place if I am in the area. read more
