I've been coming here to pickup probably since 2022, and I finally gave some of their food a try. I tried their chicken pasta which was absolutely phenomenal! Mild, spicy ...taste with added sliced Green and Yellow bell peppers and onions! Amazing large portion too! I also tried some of their tostones which were good with a fresh crunch. They came with a hot, spicy cabbage dip. Very good!! One star less only because their to-go section outside near the parking lot is crazy and outta control with waiting times! You'll be waiting at least 20 minutes or more if you're picking up for someone out there, or purchasing food. It's quite ridiculous! This place opens as a Haitian nightclub on weekends with a security guard outside. Friendly staff. One of their staff members told me that "doucè" means sweet in Kreyol. My coworkers and I decided to stop by Doucè in Miramar to grab some Haitian food and celebrate Haitian Flag Day. The place was packed when we arrived and they had a live DJ playing, which definitely brought the energy. However, the music was extremely loud, and there weren't any seats available inside, so we ended up sitting outside on the patio. We had to wait a while for our table to be cleared and cleaned before we could sit. Our waitress was nice, but service wasn't very attentive throughout the visit. As for the food, it was okay at best. The griot was decent, the rice was flavorful, and the pikliz definitely brought the spice. Unfortunately, the mac and cheese missed the mark for me it had a thick layer of cheese on top but wasn't mixed well throughout, so the texture felt off. As the night went on, the inside quickly turned into more of a party atmosphere, which may be a vibe for some people. Recently visited this lounge for a YNOT party that was being hosted there. The venue itself is nice and spacious, which made it great for a party setting. However, the service could definitely be improved. Drinks were on the expensive side, and the bartenders/order staff were not very personable. One thing that stood out was when I paid in cash -- the bartender assumed she was keeping the remaining change as a tip without asking. I had to request my change back, which felt awkward and unprofessional. I also ordered lemon pepper chicken wings. They were okay, but when they brought them to our table, there were no napkins or plates provided. We came here on a Tuesday night after the gym looking for something good to eat and this place happens to be open late and there was a DJ! Spinning that Konpa mix. After sitting in the section for about 20 minutes, I asked for some water, they came back with bottled water. If the section is rented out, they should at least given the guest a pitcher of water, for starts. After I received a bottle of water, I had to ask for a menu... shouldn't the menus be given as soon as you sit down? They were many servers going from the bar to different tables, but they did not frequent the rented section. Hesitant to order because I was strapped for time, the menu was basic Haitian cuisine; mostly fried options. The menu itself was cost friendly, I did not see anything over $25. I did not order any food and left the party pretty early. It just felt really sub par with someone having rented a section out. There was no decor for her. The parking lot is questionable lol. This has been the most underwhelming Haitian food I've ever had. So I was craving good Haitian food and decided to try this place for the first time as a takeout. Everything that I order was there, and nothing was missing . For appetizers I had the griot tacos and they were super disappointing! Those are not tacos at all! I was expecting some griot in corn or flour tortillas, but interested I received 3 mofongo type mini bowl with some dry shredded griot in them. They weren't terrible but definitely not what I was expecting and not very tasty. For dinner I had the griot platter with black rice , tostones and a side order of mac. The griot itself was flavorful but not balanced at all (either the pieces were dry or all fat). The black rice was average, tostones were ok and the the worst Haitian Mac and cheese I've had All my life. Came here a couple of times and each time the food is amazing. A few stand out is the Chicken Pasta it was surprisingly very very good. The Alfredo sauce was seasoned well along with the chicken. The Turkey Tasso and Chicken in sauce were other plates that were stand-outs. The Rice and beans was probably one of the best I had in a Haitian restaurant. I know its a Lounge as well but honestly I usually just get the food to go. I'll do the Lounge one day but so far the food is the best part of this place. After being checked by security we walked in but decided we wasn't dressed to stay so we decided to do takeout. The waitress approached us and as if she read our mind asked if we preferred take out. Upon arrival, I got a parking space right in front of the door. Literally lol. I'm not sure if it was an actual space but no one said anything. Arrived around 9:30pm on a Friday night. The inside of the place is pretty spacious. There are booths, high top tables, a bar and lounge seating. My friends and I chose to sit at a booth. The music at first was Americanized for about the first 15 mins of our arrival and then Haitian music for the rest of the night. Before arriving, I assumed that that's what they would play all night but walking into Hip hop/R&B was such a tease! The Hookah here is $40 each. We thought the young lady told us $4 which was unbelievable, so we repeated "$4????" Multiple times in which she said yes. So we ordered three expecting to pay $12 LOL. Turns out we had to pay $120, on cashapp, as soon as she brought it. The service was ok. For them to not be as busy, they were super slow and not very attentive. Taylor was SOOO nice tho! I believe she was working both the bar and our table so that could be why. Now the food!!!! OFF THE CHAIN! The food is so damn good man. Literally the best Haitian food I've ever had. The griot was crispy and flavorful. My friend had the fried fish, she ate it in 5 mins and she's a very picky eater. My other friend had "Tassot Goat" (fried goat) she devoured hers as well. Mine was so good I didn't even want to eat it at the restaurant. I took it to go, took me a nice shower and propped up in my bed and ate it LOL! $14 for this plate (plus A LOT of rice) it was sooo good! The food is good, I would say my first time my experience was great. Orders were being taken inside and the young lady was kind, prompt and service was excellent. However, the last few times I placed pick up orders it was disaster. I ordered the conch plate and there were multiple hairs in my plate. On top of that the young lady that worked the outside pick up area was not so kind or had proper customer service as first experience. I overlooked both incidents and decided I order the same thing I had last which was turkey and legume and tried ordering again a few days later. As I am pregnant and was craving turkey. I came to pick up food and what pissed me off was how rude the same young lady from outside pick up area was. This time it was next level. She never once looked at me when I politely asked a few questions inquiring about options for things to drink. She kept ignoring me and was had a nasty tone when I was speaking to her. I have been meaning to come to this place for some time. It's located on 441 and it's easy to pass by it if you don't know it's there. I checked the reviews when I first noticed it and the reviews were mostly favorable so I put it on my "dining bucket list". Went today and was very pleased. The place is very nice, the drinks were not lacking in alcohol and the food was tasty. It's not an inexpensive place ($79.00 for two around 2pm in the afternoon) but I am willing to pay for good service and food; I got both here. Our waiter was Hector and he was very nice, professional, and attentive. He was more like the jack of all trade today. He was the greeter, server, waiter, bartender, and answered all calls.
