Our waitress acknowledged us, then we waited over 20 mins just to get waters. I had to go to the bar to get water so that we could our food that had already been sitting on our table for 5+ mins. We ordered the short rib empanadas and Churassco sliders. Both had cilantro aioli but that did little make either of them tasty. While the short rib meat was tender, it was boring and flavorless. The Churassco was super fatty and chewy, if there was onion jam on the sliders, well I couldn't tell. The atmosphere is chill and the outdoor seating does have greenery that provides a bit of privacy for the patio seating, but I was underwhelmed. Service was nonexistent and food was bland. read more

Possibly the worst dining experience we've had in Pembroke Gardens and that is including Fudruckers. Although our waitress was nice, the service was horrible. Shrimp cocktail was 6 Publix shrimp with a cocktail sauce that we had to send back because it came out in literal squares and the texture of canned cranberry sauce. It only got worse from there. Drinks were never refilled. The churrasco came out significantly over cooked and with mashed yuca that was so gummy it was inedible. They exchanged it for truffle mashed potatoes.. be warned, they're boxed mashed potatoes made with water with a scoop of truffle butter on top. Not seasoned, not creamy, nothing. Gross to be honest, mashed potatoes at elementary schools taste better. My husband ordered the hanging steak which was all show. The meat was a cheap cut and fatty. The 3 sauces it came went from bad to worse. He asked for a side salad which I guess is fool proof.. although I did also think that about mashed potatoes and that was wrong. We paid our $135 bill and immediately went across the street to Lime Mexican grill where in retrospect we should've gone to begin with. Save your money and your time. Probably a decent place to just drink, but food was 0 stars. read more

We made reservations for 7:30 and I'm glad we did because they were booked. We wanted to come for the holiday decor and have a nice dinner that felt christmasy. They didn't have enough chairs for our table, we were a group of 4 so they had to use chairs from the patio, which was fine. Our server was not attentive and the service was slow. We barely saw him and our food took long to come out and one of the orders was missing a side. We had to ask for water which took as long as the food to come out. We shared the Korean chicken sliders which was soooo good. I then had the Parmesan crusted chicken and it tasted bland. We also had the coquito and this was one of the best coquitos I have ever had! The food was delicious and very rich. If you like short ribs they had a lot of options from appetizers to main meal. It's not a big place but the service was efficient and everyone was friendly. If you are going to go make reservations. I had the truffle fries with short rib empanadas. The empanadas were good but had a ropa vieja shredded texture. A little more sauce would have been nice to go with it. The truffle fries were tasty with the scent of truffle but not overpowering. They were steak fries and not the thinner shoestring fries. At first I wasn't sold on it but the steak fries option works. The location right now has a Christmas theme until the first week of January. It is done well except that the bathroom only had red lights so it gave me Halloween vibes in there. read more

Ended up going to Unit B and had an amazing experience. I got the Old Fashioned done Unit B style with Buffalo Trace, demerara, and Angostura bitters --perfectly balanced and smooth. I also had the First Amendment with scotch, fresh lemon, Florida honey, and raw ginger, and that drink was incredible too. Both cocktails were top tier. John and Anthony gave exceptional service all night and were genuinely amazing. Great drinks, great atmosphere, and even better hospitality. Definitely coming back. read more

Came in for the first time for a birthday dinner. I was expecting to try the Halloween menu but when we got there we were told that the menu was only for Halloween night and tickets were required. We decided to stay and try their regular menu. I love that the service was excellent the entire time and it never felt forced. They were not in any rush to bring the bill so we had to ask for it when we were ready. Both cocktails were absolutely delicious. "time for you babe" and "fruit clouds" were an absolute favorite. For dinner we tried a few shareable plates. We had the churrasco sliders which the steak were so tender and flavorful. The shrimp bao buns were crispy and delicious. The steamed mussels were the best, the sauce you could literally bathe in it. The beef empanadas were juicy but not greasy and super tender. Great location with nice vibes. read more

I'm one of those Miamians who firmly believed that there is no dining or nightlife in the 954 past 8:30 PM, but boy was I mistaken! I came here to keep the night going with a friend after having a full dinner nearby. They were running their Christmas promotion called "The Reindeer Room" which meant Christmas lights and decor near the entrance and 1 or two specialty cocktails. The soundtrack was thankfully not Hallmarky Christmas music but rather like a Downtempo jazzy EDM. My friend opted for her usual Pinot Grigio and myself for the Merlot. Since I had to drive back, we also ordered their charcuterie tray to munch on. My Merlot was smooth and not overly dry, despite what my friend may say. The charcuterie tray was nicely loaded with pepperoni, ham, turkey, nuts, and a variety of cheeses. I also like that there are sweet toppings included, honey, and like a sweet brie. I think this place does have a full menu for dinner, but at the very least it seems like a fun place to go for a wine and cheese date night or to wind down in the evening. Why only four stars though? Though it's true we came close near last call - at almost 11 PM - there was some confusion whether the kitchen was closing or not and whether they could get us something to munch on. It didn't seem that packed, but there was still more than a little bit of a weight to get her cold cuts, which admittedly were very nice to presented. Overall, a really solid spot with great vibes. The salmon tartare had an odd flavor for me -- very garlic-forward -- but the charcuterie board was absolutely worth the $38 and a definite highlight. The food was great and I went around Christmas time, so the decor was amazing. The holiday drinks were excellent. I really enjoyed the coquito, and my date had an espresso martini that she really enjoyed . The food itself was good, but my only issue was that my meal came out about 22 minutes before my date's food. I chose not to eat and waited until her food arrived. After about 15 minutes, a manager came over to check on us and I explained the situation. A few minutes later, my date's food came out. I was bothered that our server passed by multiple times without noticing the issue. Despite that I still tipped well, I understand it was the holidays. I was intrigued to dine at this restaurant after hearing great feedback from several people. So finally my bf and I decided to go on a dinner date to this place and check it out. We made reservations and arrived on time. Once we walked in , we were impressed with the ambiance. The place is nicely decorated with dimmed lights. Music was playing in the background, volume was pleasant. We were seated right away. Anthony was our waiter and was very helpful with the options on the menu. Menu has a great variety of drinks and food. Everything described on the menu seemed soo good . We also observed the food served to our neighboring tables which made it difficult to decide even more. For appetizer, We ordered the brisket burnt ends bai buns and boy they were delicious!!! Our main entree choice was Bourbon blue ribeye cooked medium which we shared because we don't eat that much. Totally amazing!! The only detail the waiter missed was to replace with clean plates when the main entree was served. He never asked or offered to bring out new plates. We came here to meet my cousin and his wife for happy hour...they had been telling us for the longest time that this place makes the best cocktails....which during happy hour are 50% off...so most of them were $7. When I checked in with the Yelp APP, it gave me an offer for a free small plate...when I mentioned that to the server, she said they don't have small plates anymore, but anything that is $10 or less would be part of the offer...I did not see many choices, then she said...we can make one of the appetizers smaller to take advantage of the coupon....like making the Bao plate or empanada plate smaller (2 items vs the regular 3 items). I said sure....let me try their Bao. The filling of the bao was tangy due to the kimchi notes in the brisket filling. It was very flavorful and the dough was soft and spongey... The drinks were really good...I had a Lychee martini, which was sweet and smooth. My husband got a 21st amendment cocktail and it was very strong with lots of ginger notes....My cousin got a version of the 21st amendment with lavender and that was really really good. The decor is really comfortable, it feels like you are in a nice house or mansion's library...very nice set up.... Great service, great cocktails...a winner on my book.... read more

I've passed ny this unassuming restaurant so many times and I had no idea how lovely it was inside. The interior is dimly lit with beautiful decor, furniture and light fixtures. Quite lovely. Seating gives you options for low chairs or traditional tables. Our server was prompted, welcoming and knowledgeable about the menu. For starters I got the Peachy Lychee martini and it was deliciously blended. For my entree I ordered the Sesame Grilled Salmon Samon Filet that comes with (Kimichi Fried Rice, Arugula, Sweet Chili Oil,Crispy Onions). The serving size is large enough for leftovers and tasted so good. I ended the night with a second Peachy Lychee martini. Loved this place and I will return. 10/10 read more

A cute place in Pembroke Gardens. The drinks are great and they have so much to offer. The bartender was amazing! She took the best care of us and made sure that we could order the Yelp special even though it didn't seem possible for a bit. I ordered a rum and coke and a bruschetta appetizer with shredded beef and melted cheese. I definitely have to come back to try more items and some of their specialty cocktails. I really liked the ambiance the most. The funny part was how when we were sitting at the bar, it was so dark in the restaurant that I couldn't read the menu. I had a new phone and spent 10 minutes trying to turn on the flashlight. Finally, I just grabbed one of their votive candles and put it up to the menu in order to see. My girlfriend and I were in the area looking for a place to grab a cocktail and possibly small bites while catching up. Unit B ended up being the perfect place to do all three. The original Unit B is in Ft. Lauderdale. This Unit B is located in Pembroke Gardens but I never noticed them before. Compared to the other establishments on the street, they were dark and quiet. Unit B was opened during the pandemic by Wolverine Management, a restaurant group that runs several Brass Tap gastropubs. You can enter Unit B through their front door or through the phone booth that serves as a connection to the livelier Brass Tap next door. Unit B is essentially the speakeasy to Brass Tap but has it's own front entrance. As soon as I walked in the door I was enchanted by the elegant red and black décor. The small, dark, and intimate space has bookshelves with bench seating along one wall, cozy tables in the center of the room, and a bar along the back of the room. When we first entered there were only seats at the bar. We had to wedge ourselves in but as the night wore on we were able to spread out. Our mixologist was Leslie who took excellent care of us. After asking for a recommendation I took her advice and ordered the Time For You Babe made with coconut rum, guava, fresh lime, and Amaro Luciano. It was perfection. All cocktails are $14. A Yelp check in got us each a free small plate. We sampled the Bao Buns and French toast dips which were full of flavor. I thoroughly enjoyed my visit to Unit B. If you are looking for a cool spot to meet up with girlfriends or for a romantic date, Unit B would be an excellent choice. read more

Yes please!!! I want to return again and again! Tonight after girls night out, the other ladies went home tired after their long work weeks BUT I wasn't tired so I stayed out a bit later to have more drinks. I was already in Pembroke Gardens so I stopped at Unit B. My first time here although I'd seen it on Yelp many times. It's a small, yet quaint spot, dimly lit and very cute and chic. Though it was close to last call, there was still a few handfuls of people inside. Light banter, laughter, and just an overall great vibe is my best description of the ambiance. I ordered a drink called the OVERCAST SHADOW and it was DELICIOUS. I had told the very sweet and polite bartender that I'd wanted a drink that was not fruity and overly sweet. She recommended this drink and if I could describe it best I'd say it had hints of sweet, vanilla-y, foamy, yet slightly tangy, with a kick of ginger and possibly some citrus. I can genuinely say it was one of the best drinks I've ever had and I'm not exaggerating. I really enjoyed the flavor. Often drinks are simply meant to get you where you need to go and that's it. Often they are loaded with ice, watered down, bitter and not worthy of talking about after the fact (like the drink I'd had earlier at another spot). This drink had charcoal coconut rum, agave, ginger, and aquafava and a dehydrated lime inside which added a touch of pizazz to an already phenomenal cocktail. I also had an order of fries. I had already had a salad but I needed some carbs so the fries were perfect. They were better than the average fries though which was a nice surprise because THEY WERE REAL, HANDCUT, FRESH OUT OF THE FRYER fries. Lightly salted and served piping hot! So hot that I had to "hafashahsha" my way through them in the beginning...LOL! Nothing better though than piping hot, fresh out the grease French fries. Next girls night, we will be coming here! I was looking for the Unit B closer to Las Olas but found this gem in Pembroke Pines instead. I've now been a few times and tried most of their menu and a fair number of their drinks. Their bourbon flights of barrel picks is also very reasonable for what you're getting and should put this place on the map for anyone interested in brown spirits. Ambience is unexpected for a random spot in a strip mall. Give Unit B a try, you'll leave happy. read more

An average brunch spot located in the Pembroke Gardens Mall, that with a little better service and food, could be great. First the service. This place was empty at 12pm on Sunday when they advertise a brunch including bottomless Mimosas. That alone is pretty telling. There was one waiter for the entire restaurant, and he was struggling even only having 2-3 tables. The mimosas were great, as they use a sweeter champagne and bring the orange juice in the side to allow you to mix it how you want. The chicken and waffles were really tasty. The chicken was fried perfectly, and matched well with the sweetness of the waffles and syrup. The French Dip sandwich was average at best. The roast beers and au jus were tasty... but the bread was nearly inedible. I'm not sure if it was old, but was extremely chewy and stale to the point where I could not bite through it. As I said above, could be a great brunch spot, they just need to step up their game. read more
