We came here on a Tuesday night after the gym looking for something good to eat and this place happens to be open late and there was a DJ! Spinning that Konpa mix. We got Bouillon Cabrit, Pate Kode with Griot filling, and Accra. We also got a couple of cocktails , specifically the Douce Cocktail. The food was delicious from the bouillon to the Accra. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The music was so good I had to Shazam a couple of songs.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] P.S there's security at the door and they do ApplePay.

Tonight, I placed a to go order, and it was ready within a reasonable time. I was excited to try their cremas cake, but unfortunately, it was a huge disappointment. It tasted just like plain white cake. It doesn't have any cremas or rum flavoring in it. Bruuuh, not even in the frosting. I was extremely disappointed about that because I was looking forward to the cake more than the meal. The tacos, on the other hand, SLAP!!! Everything was well seasoned, including the pikles. I would highly recommend the griot tacos and would order it again. It doesn't make up for the underwhelming cake, BUT at least they got the tacos correct. I'll return to dine in next time I'm visiting.

I loved this Haitian restaurant! Great music from different afro/Latin genre. And the food! OMG ! The beans and rice was almost enough for me but then I had the jerk chicken which had a kick but not overwhelming. The griot was just what my Haitian mom cooked so that's high props! And I was told it has a club vibe at night ... I will be back to experience that!

I was invited here for a friends birthday party. She rented out a section and it was quite underwhelming. After sitting in the section for about 20 minutes, I asked for some water, they came back with bottled water. If the section is rented out, they should at least given the guest a pitcher of water, for starts. After I received a bottle of water, I had to ask for a menu... shouldn't the menus be given as soon as you sit down? They were many servers going from the bar to different tables, but they did not frequent the rented section. Hesitant to order because I was strapped for time, the menu was basic Haitian cuisine; mostly fried options. The menu itself was cost friendly, I did not see anything over $25. I did not order any food and left the party pretty early. It just felt really sub par with someone having rented a section out. There was no decor for her. The parking lot is questionable lol. I was told to pull into a gravel area and park behind some cones and yellow caution tape. Ladies, keep your heels at home. Would I be back? Most likely during the daytime if ever.

I love this place and I love how consistent the food is. Hatian food is some of my favorite foods. Today I had the pleasure of bringing a friend with me who had never tried it. At Douce the vibe is very much lounge like, on some nights there is a DJ. I've never been here and it was full. My favorite dishes are of course the griot, the blackened snapper and and whole fried snapper.

This has been the most underwhelming Haitian food I've ever had. So I was craving good Haitian food and decided to try this place for the first time as a takeout. Everything that I order was there, and nothing was missing . For appetizers I had the griot tacos and they were super disappointing! Those are not tacos at all! I was expecting some griot in corn or flour tortillas, but interested I received 3 mofongo type mini bowl with some dry shredded griot in them. They weren't terrible but definitely not what I was expecting and not very tasty. For dinner I had the griot platter with black rice , tostones and a side order of mac. The griot itself was flavorful but not balanced at all (either the pieces were dry or all fat). The black rice was average, tostones were ok and the the worst Haitian Mac and cheese I've had All my life. I'm not sure about the ambiance as a lounge , but if you are looking for good food this is not it.

This place is a Caribbean inspired restaurant and lounge located in Miramar off of South St Rd 7. They were playing a mix of kompa, zouk, hip hop & r&b and the dj was great! The food is also really good here! Let me break it down! What I Had: _____________ "Yes It Is Baby" : 7/10 it was an overwhelmingly strong cocktail. (vodka, gin, rum, strawberries, and orange" .. If you want to be leaning to the side towards the end of the night off of 1 drink get this I promise it will take you there. I personally rated this drink a 7/10 because i don't like my drinks really pungent ,i like when they are subtle so they slowly creep up on me towards the end of the night LoL Chicken Wings & Fries (Appetizer Plate) : 12/10 This was so delicious omg! The lemon pepper wings were seasoned so well! They marinated it in Epis (which is a Haitian marinade that we use in my culture) before they fried it and added the lemon pepper seasoning! This place hands down is in my Top 3 best lemon pepper wings I've ever had for sureee!! The fries were also made to order, just hot & crispy golden goodness! The only sad part was that they give you ranch in a packet.. yess a packet like who does this anymore (LOL) they don't make their ranch in house which is disappointing! Hookah: 8/10 I've had better hookah... it don't pull like some other places i've been to! Overall Experience: 9/10 This establishment has been Tamied ™

Omg! You must try this restaurant. The food was 10/10- we were a party of 10 and our food came out quick and fresh. The drinks 10/10- Hookah 10/10 Music 10/10- they were playing all kinds of music. The only thing I dislike about this place is that the music is way too loud. It's so loud that when you get home, your ears are ringing . Everyone was so nice and patient. This was my first time at Douce and I will say that Douce has some of the best Haitian food I've ever had and I've been to plenty of Haitian restaurants! I ordered the griot with black rice and it did not disappoint! Everything tasted fresh. The entire night was great - including the music and the service. I would absolutely come back!

I always eat here but never tried conch and what a waste of money. Conch fritters were good but the conch itself...garbage. I sent it back because it was too hard and then it came back dripping with oil. Everyone can't make everything, just that simple. read more

Went here last night to celebrate a friends birthday. Gave the waitress my card and she ran it 5 times!!! Three $280 transactions and two $270 transactions, that's $1,380. I only approved ONE $270 transaction. Thank god for fraud alert!! And to top it off she had the nerve to write a rude and derogatory comment on the back of my receipt, and hand it to me by accident!! Buyers beware, this place robs people and the customer service is deplorable! read more

The Chef Mr. Wilfred came out and introduced himself and offered a sample of the seafood chowder which was excellent and very rich and didn't skimp on the seafood. The griot taco is one of my favorite things because it was wrapped in bannan and not a taco. It was seasoned and tasted well and didn't contain the fatty part of the pork. The chicken wings were cooked to perfection and seasoned well. I would definitely recommend coming on a Sunday because they do a happy hour from 5-8. read more

This place is absolutely garbage, the salmon undercooked the vegetables were undercooked and filled with water, the plantains were hard as a rock and to top it off there was a giant black hair im the food that was disgusting and i threw it out. I would never recommend eating here! read more

Came here with a friend for a relaxing night out. We were looking for somewhere that wasn't extremely crowded (because of covid) and where we could sit back and relax. We were not disappointed. For appetizers we got akra, which was delicious. If you come here, try it! The doucé cocktail? DELICIOUS! Definitely try that! The music and the atmosphere is welcoming, staff was excellent. Rebecca is an excellent server/bartender and Eidan will make sure your hookah is always burning deliciously. If you like hookah and good food, check out Doucé out, you will leave here one happy customer! read more

I just had some nasty ass food from douce lounge I'll never stray from d'vine & alberte's again smh..rice feels like it was reheated/leftovers. griot was nothing but skin/fat. The meat part felt like it was bad/spoiling meat. the pikliz was horrible & the bunnun felt like it was cooked hours before & sat under a hot lamp to keep warm smh. these other positive reviews must be fake read more

Food was tasty!!! Spicy and flavorful. Customer service was good too. I order rice and turkey with sauce and mac and cheese and griot tacos. Everything was spicy but i couldn't stop eating. Love this place. The food is always on point. They do have a couple of things to figure out but if you are looking for a bar that sells Haitian food, where you want to relax, this is the spot. There's a lady manager (maybe owner) who does her best to address quality issues. Overall very good place to relax, have good conversation with friends and listen to music or watch sports. read more

This spot is amazing. Great music, great modern interior, very relaxing place for a Friday night with the girls or a date. The legume has beef and oxtail. It's soooo delicious. Great Service. I went there Sunday evening just to grab a bite. Omg the food was amazing and delicious. The waitress which I didn't get her name was was so polite took my order even offered me water as I waited. What was so Amazing the chef which was a lady brought my food out so quick I barley waited long the food was so fresh and hot. Then she came back to ask me how was the food perfect customer service which you don't often find in Caribbean restaurants. read more

Soooo it was my first time visiting Miami and my sister advised me to try this place. All I can say is that the food was amazing! I had Turkey Tassot ( fried turkey), with rice and peas, & deep fried plantains. It was definitely worth eating and was a different experience of flavors on my palate. I will be coming back soon. The cappuccino I ordered was extremely disappointing: watery and tasteless, more like diluted milk. It honestly feels like there is no proper barista who understands how to make a good cappuccino. Things only got worse -- I had to look for a server myself just to get sugar, and after asking, it still took another ~10 minutes. We waited around 25 minutes for the Philadelphia rolls, which is already quite long, but the result was even worse: there was barely any cream cheese. The taste was completely off -- just poorly made rolls with almost no filling. I visited this place about six months ago and the service was noticeably better. Now it feels like both the service and food quality have significantly declined. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this place.

Tonight I was trying to figure out dinner and I knew I wanted something hot and freshly cooked, not just a sandwich or fast food. After debating for a while, I ordered from Douce Restaurant & Lounge on Uber Eats. I've dined inside the restaurant before, but tonight, I just wanted to enjoy my meal at home. I ordered the Fritay sampler, which came with griot, akra, marinade, fried plantains, fried white sweet potatoes (patat), a fresh side salad, and fried breadfruit. I also got a chicken pate kode and a side of diri djon djon. From the moment I opened the containers, I could tell everything had been prepared fresh. Every item was hot, crispy, and full of flavor. The griot was tender with that perfect crisp on the outside. The akra and marinade were fried just right, and the patat, breadfruit, and plantains were delicious. The salad was fresh and the pickled onions and peppers added that tangy kick. The diri djon djon was flavorful and paired perfectly with the griot. The chicken pate kode was just as good as I remembered, flaky and satisfying. On a previous visit dining in, I also had a wonderful experience. Our server was kind, attentive, and made us feel really welcomed. The space itself is warm and later in the night it transforms into a lounge, which makes it a great spot for food and drinks and a night out. I'm so glad I ordered. It was fresh, delicious, and filling. I've got leftovers for another day or two. If you're looking for authentic Haitian food that's consistently on point. I recently dined at this restaurant, and I must say the food was excellent. The flavors and presentation were top-notch, and it's clear that the chefs are skilled. The decor added to the overall dining experience; it was pleasing and comfortable. However, there is room for improvement in terms of customer service. While the staff was polite, the service could have been more attentive and efficient. Overall, a great place for food and ambiance, but I hope to see better service in the future. read more
