I was excited to see Dough Boys had re-opened under new ownership. I always enjoyed the food anytime I went before. Decided to stop by and check it out again. Not to say the food was bad, it just wasn't the quality I enjoyed previously. Was disappointed to see they only offered 5 or 6 choices of wing sauces, all just standard flavors you'd find anywhere. The variety and creativity of wing sauces was what I enjoyed most from the prior owners. Also, I think the wings were the frozen variety. The skin did not crisp up when fried. I also ordered a calzone and it wasn't anything to write home about. The staff was friendly, and food was prepared quickly. I may be back to at least try the pizza and give it another chance. But the lack of wing variety will keep me from being a regular

I am all about supporting local businesses and few stories are as inspiring as this one: a recent high school graduate, with a passion for making great pizza, decided to open this pizza parlor in his community last Fall. Doughboy's does a number of things right, which makes me want to continue to support their business. But there is much room for improvement as well. To start, the pizza crust is average at best. It is too hard for my liking. They use a lot of olive oil on the tray to soften the dough as it bakes, but this just results in an oily, very crispy pizza crust. Moreover, the Lemon Pepper wings were overly seasoned and practically inedible, way too salty. Speaking of wings, Doughboy's has over 30 recipes of both bone-in and boneless chicken wings. And there is a vegan option too. Additionally, they have a decent selection of house and local pizzas. Flavor-wise, I like the Sinatra if you are looking for a combination of toppings. The Godfather is a good combination of meats and vegetables, including artichoke hearts. Any pizza can be made gluten free or low carb. Calzones, oven baked sandwiches, cheese sticks, and fresh garden salads round out their menu. Soon, they will begin serving pasta dishes as well. Doughboy's needs to prepare their food better. I am optimistic they will but, just the same, there is too much competition in Clovis for me to consider a return visit anytime soon. Good service at the counter. Fast, convenient delivery service as well.

Super friendly people who greeted me at the door. I went in for their ugly sweater contest for Christmas but also for some dinner! Good opportunity to kill two birds with one stone since I've never had this place before. Super spacious inside, lots of seatings. I love the design and overall look of the interior design of this place. I decided to do the "Make It Your Own" pizza option medium size which was pretty big! Each topping is 50c. The pizza was delicious and was a perfect size for 3 people. They also give me a calzone that was HUGE! I was surprised the size of that thing. The pepperoni calzone was super filling and saucy. It was goooooood. The order came out roughly 10 mins after we ordered. Super friendly staff and had a good time participating in their contest. Instagram handle: Lamburger_

I had the pleasure of trying the pizza and wings. They definitely did not disappoint. I had The Godfather pizza and an order of wings with the honey jalapeño sauce and it was amazing. They have a lot of choices, and based on how good the food was for what I tried - I can't wait to try the other items. I also tried a sample of their ranch sauces. There was a pepper ranch, garlic ranch, Siracha ranch and a regular. Perfect dip for the pizza crust. They're all good, but I actually liked the black pepper ranch. It sounds odd - but the pepper flavor was on point. They open July 30th!

So glad that they have reopened. Great service as always and excellent tasting food. We ordered the calzone, pepperoni pizza, the Sinatra, and jalapeño wings. We loved the flavor on the wings. The spice was just right with a hint of sweet. Only gripe was that it seems the AC was not working in the main dining area. It was 81 degrees yes the restroom was way cooler. Hope it gets fixed soon. We tried to order again on a Sunday during the business hours and calls went to a voicemail. Please get everything worked out. We love your food.

I have been driving by this place for months now and finally decided to drop in, and was so glad I did! I got a large pizza and 18 wings for dinner for 4 (very hungry people) and it was so good, we only had 2 slices of pizza leftover. The pizza was delicious with a perfectly crisp crust that was not too dense and was sturdy enough that our pizza wasn't flopping around with all the toppings. The owner was very accomodating to our custom order because we wanted to try multiple flavors. So awesome that most of his sauces are made in-house! Godfather: Spicier (not much) than I expected but it really is packed with pepperoni and sausage. Good choice if you're a meat lover. Flyin Hawaiian: If you love pineapple on pizza (because all the cool ones do) this is a must! Just look at those pineapple slices!!! There was a tad more red onion than I would have liked but the bacon and chicken was cut into thick pieces so every bite was soooo satisfying. Wings: Lemon pepper is standard with a nice sour zing which I like (I also appreciate that it seems like they took the recommendation from a previous review because they weren't too salty!) The wings themselves are unremarkable, pretty typical for a pizza spot. BUT THE SAUCE WAS SO GOOD. They were unique and unlike any other sauces I've had, the cajun ranch was too spicy for me but I kept coming back for more. Everything was very spice-ful instead of jusy salty which I loved! Garden Salad: Pretty decent sized fresh salad that didn't skimp on toppings. I went with thousand island which was good too. It was worth it with the 50% check in, but otherwise I'm not sure if I'd pay original price for it.

Hungry for an awesome pizza or wings in Clovis? Look no further than Dough Boys Pizzeria on the SE corner of Clovis and Herndon! Many pizza options to choose from, or create your own masterpiece. Regular crust, gluten free or cauliflower, you get to pick what works for you. I chose the traditional crust. It had a bit of a crunch when you first take a bite and tender and a little chewy inside. And the wings...so many different flavors and variations. My favorites were the lemon pepper rub and the BBQ. Big, meaty, tender and very tasty. The folks who work there are all so friendly and accommodating. Like the sign on the wall says...Support Your Local Pizza Gang!

Choose local! Met the owner AJ, who seems to be running a fantastic & quality business! We were craving some wings and this seemed to be really the only promising option out here. Did not disappoint whatsoever. He is also working with a local brewery to have on tap as the pizza shop just got their license to serve! Got customer opinions at the end of our meal too--shows they truly care about what they serve. As a CN grad, love to support a fellow CUSD grad in their business. Ordered the maple bacon, Nashville, and pineapple teriyaki chicken. We all loved the maple bacon and nashville. The maple bacon was the perfect sweet, sticky, savory glaze and the Nashville was like eating a lightly spicy bag of seafood boil! YUM. We will 100% return to try their other sauces too as there is quite a list of unique options. Didn't get a chance to check out the pizza but with as happy as we were with the chicken, I'd be interested in trying next time. I imagine this place is busy during the end of the week, I'd be surprised to hear otherwise. Came here on Monday evening before closing so not much happening. Regardless, I wish the best success on this shop and would love to see their growth/expansion over time. :)

This place is awesome! Vegan pizza and carnivore for the fam. One stop shop for all diets. As for the inside it looks so awesome! Very modern and great signs. My kids loved it an we will absolutely be back with more fam to try it out. Don't sleep on this place!

I called in to order and the worker that answered was very kind. I ordered their BBQ chicken baked sandwich. Asked if I could have the BBQ on the side and add artichoke hearts and jalapeños and that wasn't a problem. He said he would see me shortly. I arrived and the worker was very nice! My order was just coming out of the oven. The restaurant is very nice! Clean and safe! Definitely a fun and laid back place! Great music playing! It's newer. They haven't been opened that long. Shortly later I checked out on the new register aka iPad and you can include the tip on there as you check out. My order was handed over and the worker gave me 3 different hot sauces to try. I told him I really like the hot sauce! He also wished me a good day day and that was appreciated too! The BBQ chicken baked sandwich was pretty good! My only problem was parts of the bread were burnt. Next time I would get it in a wrap. The veggies were fresh and the chicken was cooked perfectly! A lot of flavor! It was cheesy goodness! Loved the sauces too! The chipotle one had the best spicy hot kick! Plus, it's large! I had half! Another lunch or to share! Good service and sandwich! Recommended!
